Teasing Grin
Pretending Not To LoveA/N Hello my lovely readers, wish a very happy new year and hope you have a great year ahead. Here's an extra-long update for the new year. Enjoy reading~
No One's POV:
Joo Eun placed her hands on her chest, trying to calm her heart that was pounding inside. She couldn’t believe that Sooyoon has indeed asked her out as everything still felt like a dream to her.
A few minutes later, she stripped her clothes off and got into the shower. Even until the moment she came out of the shower and dried herself with the towel, she was still lost in her thoughts as she wondered what if nothing has ever happened the night before and what if it was all just her imagination.
She snapped out of her trial of thoughts, only when she realized she hasn’t brought a new pair of clothes to change into. She let out a sigh and decided to wear the same shirt she wore to bed once again and later change them to a new pair after getting back to his room.
When she walked out, Sooyoon was still lying on the bed with his eyes closed. She quietly walked towards the closet where she has stocked her sets of clothes.
As she was rummaging through the closet, Sooyoon lifted his head and looked in her direction. Without making much noise, he silently slid out of the bed and engulfed her in a back hug, making her let out a yelp.
“Should we just skip class today?” he whispered in a low-seductive voice, before gently brushing his lips along her right shoulder while she got small goosebumps all over her.
She took a deep breath and recomposed herself quickly before gently pried his hands that were wrapped around her waist, then turned around still holding his hands in hers and stared up at him. She pulled him down and pecked his lips before she shooed him away to get ready.
A wide smile formed on his lips which accentuated his cute dimples, as he simply pulled her in for a passionate kiss, ignoring all her protest earlier. She kissed him with equal intensity and they only broke apart when they ran out of air.
“I will go shower and get ready in a flash and don’t bother cooking breakfast. Let’s grab something on our way.” He said it more like a warning to her to not enter the kitchen with that hand, before heading over to the bathroom.
She quickly changed into a proper pair of clothes for the class, then walked over to the refrigerator and grabbed one of the fruit-flavored milk cartons that Sooyoon has stored for her before settling down on the living room couch and gulping down the contents.
Just like he informed earlier, it didn’t take him that much time to show up in the living room after getting ready. He let out a chuckle at the cute sight of her drinking the flavored milk excitedly like a small kid, “So shall we leave?”
She nearly spat out the drink upon hearing that. She took a quick gulp of the remaining content before walking over to the trash can and dumping it in. “Leave together? You must be kidding. I will leave to the bus stop first. I don’t want to get killed by your fan followers.”
And before he could voice out any protest, she was quick on her feet, got into her jacket in a split second and was already in the porch, wearing her sneakers. “Wait!” he called out to her just moments before she disappeared through the now open door.
He hurried over to her side and dropped two cartons of the flavored milk. “For later use,” he said with a smile which she returned with an equal cheerfulness. She literally loved his smile and the cute dimples that formed because of it. “See you in that café by the bus stop instead,” he waved her off, going along with her ridiculous plan.
Just as she proposed, he met her in the café a few minutes later and she acted as if they both had met there by coincidence. After buying something to be eaten on the way, they both now stood in the bus, waiting for their bus, which came a few minutes later.
As soon as they got down in their campus bus stop, “I will see you in the library later,” she waved at him before hurrying away towards her department building.
He stared in the direction before he got surrounded by a few girls from his department. In the far distance, just before Joo Eun disappeared from his sight, he saw Jiwoong joining her side.
“Joo Eun-ah, heard about your injury from June hyung. Give me your bag. I will carry them.”
Joo Eun shook her head with a smile and just rolled her eyes upon hearing that. “It’s just my hand that got injured. Not my shoulders. Now stop being a drama queen, will you? People are staring at us.”
Jiwoong looked around once, “So what? I don’t care.”
“I so badly want to punch you now. Consider yourself lucky that I cannot.”
Jiwoong simply ignored her threat as usual before hooking his arms with hers and dragged her towards their classroom. A few minutes later, Moon walked into the class and all of the students started occupying their seats.
After going through his everyday procedure, he looked through the timetable. The professor responsible for the first hour hasn’t shown up yet. So he decided to stay back until she showed up while he made small talks with the students, asking about their weekends and so.
“What happened to your hand?” he asked Joo Eun with concern.
“Took a nasty fall at my workplace,” she grinned at him, sheepishly.
“That must have hurt a lot,” he sympathized with her while she agreed. “Could you use this hand? Like write?” he asked as he leaned forward, resting his elbows on her desk.
His actions didn’t really affect her feelings now as much as he did earlier. She did feel a small flutter inside her but that was all. She stared up at Moon’s charming smile but felt nothing much. “The hand movements are strictly restricted now after I kind of screwed the doctor’s advice to rest it, the very next morning after the accident.”
Moon let out a chuckle hearing it, “Well, it’s okay. Don’t trouble yourself with writing anything. The professors will understand.” He patted her shoulder, comfortingly while she heard the girl beside her utter some curse words under her breath which was barely audible but she heard them nonetheless.
They were two types of fangirls she has come across; one, who gets all excited for anyone who gets to interact with the person they are fan of. Here, Moon for instance. Then there were the second type who hated the ones who gets to interact with that person. And the girl sitting beside her now, falls under the second category.
Joo Eun ignored the girl, acting like she didn’t hear anything remotely audible from her. And before long, the professor in charge walked in and thanked Moon for the extra work he had to do before starting with her class while Moon left after waving to the girls, “See you all once again in my class hours later.”
The classes went by as usual and the professor excused Joo Eun from doing any sort of work that required using hands, on account of her injury. From time-to-time, she noticed Moon taking a quick glance at the class through the glass window as he walked past their class.
If they happen to have an eye contact, then he smiled and gave her a small wave. However, it wasn’t just for her as she noticed him doing the same for the other girls as well.
The time came for his class, probably the only class most girls were too excited about. But that was not the case for Joo Eun that day as being not able to do much work, it only let her mind easily wander away.
As Moon carried on with his class, her mind wandered off to places that she couldn’t even remember now. “Wow! You are taking notes? Did sun rise in the west today?” Joo Eun looked back as she heard Moon question someone.
Joo Eun chuckled at Moon’s expression while Jiwoong just rolled his eyes, “They will at least se
