New Boyfriend
Pretending Not To LoveNo One’s POV:
After that day where Joo Eun spent with James’ and his friends, she found herself hanging out with them quite often. Though it was mostly Moon’s work, she didn’t really mind hanging out with them most of the time.
However, that day was unlike the other days. Instead of hanging out with the entire group, it was Moon alone. A few hours earlier, Moon showed up at their house and Joo Eun was the one who opened the door.
“Hey Moon,” she smiled and let him in. “James is in his room. Hold on,” she said and called out, “James?”
“Well, I actually came for you. Are you free now?”
“Me?” she looked at him surprised. “I guess I am?”
“Hey, I didn’t know you were coming over today.” James said, surprised to find his buddy standing there in house when he walked out of his room after hearing his sister call out to him.
“Just thought would take Joo Eun out.” And when James just stared at him blankly, only occasionally blinking, Moon added, “You can join too if you want.”
James now shared at his sister while she just shook her shoulders. “Alright, take a seat then. She will take some time to get ready. And let me call mom and inform her we would be out.” Moon nodded and sat down on the couch.
After hanging out for some time later, they came across a cinema hall and decided to watch a movie. “I’ll get the tickets.” Moon stood in the line.
“Okay, I will get the popcorn and drinks then.” James said and went to stand in the queue.
Moon got the tickets and quite quickly as the queue wasn’t that long while James was still waiting for his turn in the queue. “Joo Eun-ah, just out of curiosity, could I ask you something?” she nodded, “James and you seemed to be get along well, especially when you are with people who knows about you both. But then why don’t you want others to know that you both are siblings?”
‘Maybe we are just putting on a show around those people?’ she mumbled.
“What? What did you say?”
“Nothing. I said I don’t know exactly. I guess I don’t mind but I’m not sure of what James thinks.”
“So you don’t hate him? I thought maybe he did something when he was young that hurt your emotions and that’s why you don’t want to acknowledge him as your brother.”
“Well, honestly, we both have done certain things in our young age that would have hurt the other one. But I don’t think that’s the case with me. But I can’t say the same for him. Maybe I did do something really stupid back then which I don’t remember now.”
“So you are okay to tell people as long as he feels the same too?” Moon asked.
But before Joo Eun could reply him, James called out to them, asking them to grab their popcorn and drinks and so the two rushed over to the counter.
“So what were you both talking about so seriously that took a century to hear me shouting at the top of my lungs?” James raised his eyebrows.
Moon opened his mouth to reply him, however, Joo Eun cut him off, “We were just planning out how to have our secret dates undetected by others.” she replied with a smirk.
“There, there, young lady! No more dating my friends. You’ve already done enough.” James kind of warned his sister.
“Yeah, yeah,” she replied nonchalantly.
“I’m serious. Stay away from them, if you don’t want to see me become a murderer. Date someone of your age if you really want to.”
“Should I? Sounds like a good plan. Should I ask out Jiwoong then?” she whipped out her phone and started typing something as she mumbled, but was audible enough for the other two.
“Yah! Yah, Lee Joo Eun!!!” James yelled after her but she simply kept walking towards their movie screen.
As they made their way out of the movie screen, after the movie got over, Joo spotted a pair of very familiar face and froze in spot. Moon looked in that direction and sighed in dismay, inwardly scolding himself.
His plan of bringing Joo Eun away to avoid running into those two have gone wrong. “Did you know of this, Moon? Is that why you brought me out? To show them out on their date?” she asked after noticing Moon’s expression earlier.
“Joo Eun-ah, that –”
“Thank you, Moon.” She gave him a forced smile and quickly walked out of there before he could even try and stop her.
“Where’s Joo Eun?” James asked as he came back from the restroom after taking care of his business. “Is that Sooyoon and Hye Jin?” he asked, spotting the pair not that far away from where they stood. “Did Joo Eun saw them?” Moon nodded his head guiltily. “Was this planned?” he asked, a little agitated and was getting outr
