Locked Up
(NOT A) PERFECT GIRLThe memories of your past relationship came back to you. It was buried under piles of new memories you made, sleeping soundly, less likely to be awaken.
But memories would never leave your head. Your brain cells were the safest hideout place for every single information you’ve earned. At the time, the information reassembled, connected to each other, and reappeared as a dream in your deep slumber. You remembered your old room, your old books, your old conversation, and…
You remembered about Soohyuk.
You sensed the pleasant smell of coffee beans and the clinking sound of spoon in a cup. Slowly, you opened your eyes. The morning sunray penetrated through a huge window, leaving comfortable warm feeling on your face. You blinked repeatedly, gaining back your consciousness. You stared at high ceiling above you, and soon realized that it was not your room.
You jerked up, your alertness went from 0 to 100 in seconds. You scanned your surroundings, trying to recognize the room.
The room was spacious, with huge windows and high ceiling. There was an abstract curved bookshelf, a wardrobe, dressing mirror, and a table full of ceramic decoration and miniatures. The furniture was dominated by black, white, and a little touch of maroon. Everything was neatly arranged and the combination gives off masculine vibe. The room was designed to give comfort, but on the contrary, you didn’t feel comfortable. Your fingers twitched, clutching the bed sheet with fidgety.
“What happened…” you thought. “I was with Changkyun at amusement park…”
“You’re awake.”
The cold voice made you snapped on your spot. You lifted your face to see a tall male figure, nonchalantly sipping his morning coffee. He had been watching you, almost unnoticed in your peripheral sight.
He was tall, looked handsome in grey long-sleeved shirt. You remembered his pointed nose and chiseled jaws. He looked different without his thick glasses, but you still recognized him. You sat on the bed motionless, staring at him as if he was a ghost.
“Finally we meet, Yoora-ah,” you shuddered at his remark, “Amazing, isn’t it?”
Your grip tightened.
“You must be dizzy from sleeping in long hours,” he raised his coffee cup, “coffee?” he offered.
“Did you bring me here?” you ignored his offer.
He sipped his coffee again and put the cup on the countertop. Slowly, he approached you. You shifted uncomfortably, moving away. His gestures was gentle, but you could sense danger hidden behind his calm exterior. He eyed you, and smiled, “yes, I did.”
You chuckled in rather sarcastic tone, “after 5 years, really?”
“I’ve told you, I will come to see you.”
“But we are over-“
“We can start over,” his calmness sent chill down your spine. You felt dry in your throat and gulped.
Your lips were just parted, before you could speak, Soohyuk’s attention was distracted by his phone – it beeped and seemed like he got an incoming call. He took his phone out of his pocket and answered the call
