Minhyuk, Kihyun, and Wonho were sitting in the living room, absently watching a drama on TV. Wonho grabbed a bag of potato chips, eating all of it by himself. Kihyun glanced at Wonho, shaking his head, “can you just stop eating?”
“I can’t,” Wonho dug the bag to take the last chip. “I’m worried and I can’t stop munching.”

Kihyun sighed. Hyungwon and Jooheon were having a schedule that couldn’t be skipped, Changkyun went with Shownu to buy food, while Kihyun had to wait at dorm with hungry Wonho and moody Minhyuk. Minhyuk was silent, he rested his head on his arm and staring blankly at the TV screen. He had the urge to contact Miyoung but he was still upset. He knew he was being sulky like a baby but he didn’t care.

Beep beep…

Minhyuk heard his phone beeping but he couldn’t find it.

Beep beep…

“What is this?” Wonho felt something vibrating under his leg. He took it and apparently it was Minhyuk’s cellphone. “Eoh, you have a phone call.”

Minhyuk snatched the phone, “don’t sit on my phone, hyung!” he frowned.

“But you’re the one who put it there…” Wonho pouted and nonchalantly took another bag of potato chips.

“Who’s that?” Kihyun curiously asked. Minhyuk wiped his finger across the screen and his eyebrows furrowed, “it’s Miyoung.”

“Just answer it,” Wonho replied, “you can’t stay mad at her forever, right? Just stop sulking and talk to her.”

Minhyuk sighed and reluctantly answered the phone call, “yeoboseo?”

“Oppa…”

Worry started to build up inside him as soon as he heard her voice. Miyoung’s voice was hoarse and it sounded like she was crying. Minhyuk hold his breath, something was wrong and he knew it. “What happened? Why are you crying?”

“Oppa…” Miyoung sobbed, “Eonni…”

“Miyoung-ah, take deep breaths,” Minhyuk frowned, “where are you now?”

“I’m at hospital,” She hiccupped, sniffling before continued speaking, “Please come here and tell Shownu oppa to come too, ppalli!”

Minhyuk asked Miyoung which hospital she went to and called Shownu right after it.

Minhyuk hurriedly walked through the hallway, followed by Wonho, Kihyun, Shownu, and Changkyun behind. Worry was written on his face; he couldn’t forget Miyoung’s voice in the phone call and it drove him crazy. He was scared beyond belief, even forgetting about his decision to avoid Miyoung for a while. He loved her too much and if something bad happened to her, he wouldn’t be able to forgive himself.

Shownu and Changkyun’s looked the worst. They couldn’t control their breathing, looking pale as they rushed to the emergency room. They thought of you leaving the dorm was the worst scenario, until they received a phone call from Minhyuk.    

“Miyoung said something happened. We have to go to hospital now, quick!”

Shownu almost got heart attack at the time.

The walk from parking lot to emergency room felt so long, they wished they could just fly there. When they reached emergency room, they saw Miyoung waiting outside and rushed to her. Minhyuk approached her and hugged her without saying a word. He grabbed her shoulder, checking if she’s hurt somewhere. She let out a sniffle and patted Minhyuk’s shoulder, “I’m okay, oppa… I’m okay,” her voice was croaky from crying.

“What happened?” Shownu asked urgently. “Where’s my sister?”

“Eonni…,” Miyoung hiccupped, “She…”

“Just explain slowly,” Kihyun rubbed her back.

“She protected me from a falling neon board. She pushed me right before it fell and…” She took a deep breath, “the board fell on her. It’s supposed to hit me…”

Wonho and Kihyun gasped, Shownu’s face stiffened, he couldn’t stand straight and fell on the chair. Changkyun stepped forward, looking at Miyoung straight in her eyes, “how’s she? Do you know how her condition is? Is it bad?” Miyoung shook her head, “I don’t know…”

“Just wait for the doctor,” Wonho patted the maknae’s shoulder to calm him down. “I hate waiting, especially at times like this hyung,” Changkyun sighed. “I know, me too…” Wonho replied, “Just pray for the best, okay?”
