(NOT A) PERFECT GIRL
“What the are you doing?” Minhyuk let go of his crutches, stormed towards Hyungwon and punched him. He pulled Hyungwon by his collar, giving him another punch. Hyungwon fell on the floor, coughing. Minhyuk was ready to strike again when Shownu hold him. He struggled, completely lost his temper. Hyungwon wiped the blood on the corner of his lips, trying to get up.
“She’s my girlfriend! What were you thinking? Let me go, hyung, let me give him lesson!” Minhyuk screamed, struggling from Shownu’s grip. “Please pull yourself together, Minhyuk-ah,” Shownu managed to control his temper; actually he was as mad as Minhyuk, he was ready to beat the out of Hyungwon, but as a leader he had to stay neutral.
Jooheon leaned on the wall, taking off his cap. He ran his fingers through his hair, looking at Hyungwon and Miyoung in disbelief. “Hyungwon… how could you…” there was anger in his voice and you could see that he was trying his best to pull himself together, “And Miyoung-ah,” his voice softened, “I thought you’d tell everything to your own brother. How could you going out with him without me knowing?”
Hyungwon’s hung his head low, avoiding everyone’s stare. Embarrassed, of course. He regretted his foolish action and “I’m sorry” was everything he managed to say. Miyoung was already sobbing, covering with her hand. She bowed slightly before leaving the room, walking past you who were freezing on your spot.
You were heartbroken, you thought you could cope with the bitterness but it was too much. You had never been this disappointed and it made you numb. Tears were falling uncontrollably on your cheeks, you wanted to wipe them and stayed strong as usual but you couldn’t even move a finger. You couldn’t stay there longer and walked silently to your room, locking yourself in.
Changkyun eyed you until you got in your room. He thought he would be happy if your relationship with Hyungwon ruined, but he didn’t. It hurt him to see you crying. He wanted to comfort you, but you had entered your room before he could do so.
His gaze switched to Hyungwon who was sitting on the floor. He couldn’t describe how furious he was, the level-headed maknae had really reached his limit this time. He walked to Hyungwon, asking him to stand up. Hyungwon did what the maknae said, knowing that he would be a punch bag.
Changkyun grabbed Hyungwon’s collar, clenching his fist. Hyungwon closed his eyes, anticipating the impact but he felt nothing. He hesitantly opened his eyes to see Changkyun’s fist an inch away from his face.
“I really wanted to punch you but on second thought, that’s not enough,” he clicked his tongue, loosen his grip on Hyungwon’s collar. “You’ll regret it, hyung.”
Hyungwon fell on his knees, smiling ironically, “I just did.”
“That’s enough,” Kihyun pulled Changkyun away. “Let him learn from his mistake.”
And then they just left Hyungwon there.
You never cried as much as you did that night. The irony – you changed your true self for someone who never really loved you. You sat hugging your knees, staring blankly at the ring Hyungwon gave you. All you did in the past 30 minutes was staring at the ring, wondering about the story behind it, “This ring… was it belong to Miyoung?” you mumbled.
You put the ring beside you, letting out a sigh. You didn’t know
