Three days had passed after MONSTA X’ comeback. They released a movie trailer-like music video and you couldn’t stop watching it. You liked the concept, it makes you wonder about the behind story and you had your own theory. You got the tense when Hyungwon’s being beaten up. The scene when Jooheon lead the ritual and Wonho acted crazy was funny but you laughed the loudest when Hyungwon and Minhyuk’s bathtub scene started. They looked so gay and the bathtub was too small for Hyungwon’s long legs.

Changkyun didn’t get much screen time, but his short appearance was enough to steal your attention. You had been avoiding him since the day you found out about his secret box. You were still uncertain about your feelings and it was still too early to jump into any conclusion, so you ended up avoiding any kind of conversation with him.

Yet it didn’t stop you from replaying the music video again and again, pausing the video every time Changkyun’s face appears. You were sitting in your designing studio, replaying the video for like the hundredth time. You paused at Changkyun’s close up scene and stared at the screen, wondering what was happening between the two of you.  

You let out a sigh and closed the app. staring at your phone for hours won’t give you any answer so you decided to go back to work. You were about to put your phone into your bag when it vibrated against your palm. An incoming call notification appeared on the screen and you frowned, “Minhyuk oppa?”

You swiped your finger across the screen and answered the call, “hello?”

“Eoh, Yoora-ah?” you heard Minhyuk’s voice with loud noises in the background. It sounded like he was calling from backstage. “Can you hear me?”

“Ne, I can hear you. Why do you call me? You’re supposed to perform on stage with the others now.”

“We’ve just finished,” he replied, “Yoora-ah, listen, something happened.”

Soon after, you realized there was something wrong.

“W, what is it?”

“Changkyun, he's sick and fainted after our performance. I think it’s from exhaustion.”

Your eyes widened from shock, “you’ve gotta be kidding me.”

“I’m serious, okay? Manager hyung took him to dorm but we can’t accompany him. We still have something to do,” Minhyuk sighed, “can you go home and take care of him? I’m worried here.”

“Alright, I got it,” you nodded quickly without thinking twice, “I’ll be home ASAP, don’t worry.”

“Thank goodness, sorry I have to go now. Be careful on the way home, okay?”

“Okay.”

Then Minhyuk hung up. You put your phone into your bag and rushed out of your studio without clearing up your desk first. You told Seulgi that you had an emergency so you had to leave office early. Seulgi nodded without asking any further and you thanked her. You walked quickly and as soon as you exited the building, heavy rain poured.

“Great,” you thought. “Where’s umbrella when I need it?”

But who needs umbrella? It would only slow you down.

You protected your head by using your bag and ran through the rain. The rain got heavier, you were already soaking wet but you continued running without taking a glance back. Changkyun was everything you were thinking about. You were scared, so scared you didn't even think about saving energy and time by taking a cab. You wished you had wings so you could fly to the dorm, but you only had two legs.  

So you kept running.
