“Is Jungkook here?”

Silence quickly engulfed the basketball club room, pausing and freezing the people inside. The boys were currently lounging in as they have nothing to do since there’s no practice that day and decided to just spend the rest of their day there.

Well, at least, until a girl appeared in front of their door.

“Yeah?” the black-haired boy shot up from his place, “I’m here—oh, Sooyoungie!”

“Hi,” the girl smiled at him, “Can we talk for a second?”

“Sure,” Jungkook nodded and turned to the rest of the boys, “Hey guys, I’ll be back later, okay?”

As Jungkook and the girl left the place, Seokjin abruptly stood up and slammed the desk he was sitting on, the rest of the members have the same serious expression as him.

“GROUP MEETING!!”

They quickly huddled up in the middle of the carpeted floor, whispering in their conversation as if they’re scared of someone hearing them out.

“That girl is hot,” Namjoon started, “Why is Jungkook calling her so close like that?”

“Don’t tell me that he likes her!” Taehyung gasped, “She must be confessing to him right now!”

“Okay, someone go stalk him before he ended up dating her!” Seokjin hollered, “We are the Jungkook Protection Squad and we shall destroy any disturbance that comes to him!”

“On it,” the red-haired boy of the group stood up so quick that it probably hurted his muscles, “Turn on your phones I’m going to put the speaker on!”

“Roger,” Hoseok quickly took out his phone as Jimin already jolted out the room, leaving the rest of the guys still huddling as the boy’s phone now is in the middle of them.

“I was wondering... do you have a girlfriend right now?”

“Huh?” Jungkook tilted his head to her, “No, why?”

“The truth is.. I really like you a lot!” She suddenly said, “Since the first time you transfered here, I already gotten head over heels for you... So can I be your girlfriend?”

The black-haired boy just stared at her, but soon his gaze turned apolegetic. He then took her hands into his, cupping it lightly.

“Sorry, Sooyoungie. It’s really nice to know that you like me... but I already have someone that I like... sorry,”

The girl bit her lower lip as she tried to hold back her tears, “There’s really no chance for me?”

The boy before him just lightly shook his head, sending a sign that he’s serious with what is he saying. Sooyoung finally nodded at him and sent him a sad smile, before running away and turning her back against the boy. As she disappeared out of his sight, Jungkook sighed and smiled back again, skipping his way back to the basketball club as he hummed a girl group song.

“What,” Yoongi deadpanned, “the .”

“He has someone that he likes?!” Hoseok shrieked, “How come he never told us?!”

“Ah,” Seokjin wiped his non-existent tears, “It hurts my heart that our Jungkookie has finally grown up and decided to like someone than us!”

“Wait,” Taehyung whispered, “What if it’s one of us?”

They grew silent as Taehyung’s statement drowned in their mind, and then suddenly a harmonious scream erupted.

“No. ing. Way,” the blonde-haired boy growled, “If he is into boys, I wouldn’t ing let him dated any of you!”

“As if I’ll let him if it was you, hyung,” Namjoon frowned, “That will be a disaster!”

“I can’t imagine my Jungkookie be handled by you guys,” the oldest of the crowd’s expression grew horrified, “My precious angel Kookie deserved much better than these devils!”

“The same goes to you, hyung,” Hoseok scowled, “It’ll be like if it goes with you!”

“Everyone act normal!” suddenly Jimin barged in, “He’s coming!”

“Agh, ,” the silver-haired boy of the group frowned, “Jungwon’s going to haunt us in our sleeps!”

“Hey, guys, whats up!”

“Hey, kook!” he slung his arm around the shorter boy, “You look bothered. Is everything okay?”

Since that day, the rest of the boys had been stalking Jungkook and not letting him go alone. They walked him home even though their houses wasn’t exactly close to each other, they bought him a lot of foods to the point Jungkook was getting supscious, and they even stalked his art sessions. Right now, lunch has just ended and Jungkook was out playing soccer with some of the seniors, unknowingly why the black-haired boy even know and close enough to them to play together.

“I don’t know, hyung,” he shrugged, “I feel like someone has been watching me these days,”
