A/N: Sorry for not updating for 2 months. I was stuck in a rut trying to figure out how to write this chapter.

Not to mention that my writing mojo also died. Not a good combination.

This chapter will be utter rubbish, I'll let you guys know now. And I don't even mean it like that usual, self-depreciating nonsense. I practically had to force this chapter out of me (that's why it took me so long), so it's not going to be at par with my writing like in the previous chapters. But hey, I had to start writing again somehow. -sigh-

Book 1: Impossible? It's Possible!

Chapter 8: Shopping

“Here you are, Kyu,” Hankyung said brightly, trying to smile but instead just managing a disgusted face as he set down Kyuhyun’s broccoli shake next to the younger man’s plate that was stacked with cucumber pancakes (don’t ask!). “Now, hurry up with breakfast and then get dressed. We’ve got a busy day ahead of us!”

Kyuhyun paused in mid-chew. “We’re going out, hyung?” he frowned, his cheeks bulging with half mashed pancakes.

Hankyung inwardly shuddered at Kyuhyun’s lack of manners, but knew by now that it was lost cause to reprimand him (not to mention that the maknae cutely resembled a chipmunk right now- but there was no way he would admit that to Kyuhyun). So, he just nodded in reply to Kyuhyun’s inquiry.

“But you know I can’t go out!” Kyuhyun exclaimed. Ever since he started showing, the already rare times when he would sneak out with Hankyung, heavily disguised, were put to a stop. And it was even Kyuhyun’s own decision- he was worried that the bulge on his stomach would look too questionable.

“Don’t worry,” Hankyung said, guessing right away what’s bothering Kyuhyun. “I’ve got it all sorted out.”

The older left the kitchen for a while and returned with a paper bag, which he handed to Kyuhyun, who was looking at it suspiciously.

“What the hell are these supposed to be?!” Kyuhyun shouted, dismayed, as he pulled out a shirt, a pair of jogging pants, and a long black coat that he guessed would fall past his knees. All three items of clothing were probably about 3 sizes too big for him.

“I bought those last night. The largest sizes, and-“

“I’m not fat!” Kyuhyun said shrilly.

Hankyung rolled his eyes at Kyuhyun’s theatrics.

“I’m not saying that, Kyu,” he said exasperatedly. “But it would be better to look like that than to let people see you’re a pregnant man, right? These clothes would… disguise?... no, hide… hide your baby bump the best.”

Kyuhyun was around six month pregnant now, and his baby bump was undeniable. But still not something that can’t be hidden.

“I’m gonna look like a hobo with these,” Kyuhyun just continued to whine. “A fat hobo.”

Hankyung rolled his eyes again. Sometimes, he swears that Kyuhyun could outdo Leeteuk and Hee- a certain ex of his whose name is still too painful for Hankyung to think about- in the vanity department.

“Well, we’re trying to go more to the effect of ‘a hobo with a beer-belly’,” the older shrugged, making the younger glare at him.

“What’s so important that I have to go out, anyway?” Kyuhyun grumbled. But at least he carried on chewing the pancakes in his mouth, so Hankyung took that as a sign that Kyuhyun would at least wear the clothes despite all the whiney protests. (And yes, the whole time that the maknae was complaining, it was with his mouth full with half-chewed pancakes. Again, Hankyung shuddered at the younger’s “manners”.)

“We need to go shopping,” Hankyung replied. At Kyuhyun’s raised eyebrow, he elaborated, “You don’t have any items for the baby- baby clothes, bottles, diapers. Nothing! So, we should go get them all out now, while you’re still not that obviously pregnant and while I still have free time.” Hankyung was due to start a new drama next week and it would take up most of his time for the following month, after all.

Kyuhyun frowned, looking to be in deep thought as he swirled his broccoli shake absentmindedly with the straw.

“What’s got you bothered now?” Hankyung groaned as he took a seat beside the maknae.

Kyuhyun glanced at him, then looked away. “I haven’t exactly got money to get Excalibur’s stuff,” he said quietly. His savings, like most of the things he owned, were left back in Korea.

“What am I, chopped liver?” Hankyung asked rhetorically. After he had winced at ‘Excalibur’, that is.

“But you can’t pay for Excalibur’s things! It’s not right!”

Hankyung raised his eyebrows. “You didn’t protest when I practically brought you a new wardrobe,” he pointed out.

After Kyuhyun’s first week of stay with him, where the evil maknae snatched the best of Hankyung’s clothes and claimed it as his own, Hankyung realized he couldn’t go on with only his old and worn items that Kyuhyun “thoughtfully” left for him, and just bought the evil maknae a whole new wardrobe.

“But I’m Super Junior’s maknae so it’s your job to take care of me!” Kyuhyun exclaimed. “Well, all of the hyungs’ job, actually,” he added, rubbing his chin thoughtfully. “But as you’re the only one with me now… well, you take care of me in every way.”

Hankyung rolled his eyes.  Yes, that’s how Kyuhyun saw him and the rest of Super Junior- ‘hyungs’ equal ‘servants’ who must “take care of the maknae in every way”, as Kyuhyun said.

“But Excalibur’s my baby,” Kyuhyun continued. “So, I should take care of him!”

“Aish, don’t worry about it, Kyu,” Hankyung said, reaching over and ruffling he younger’s hair fondly. “Hyung will take care of the shopping money, okay?”

Kyuhyun was spoiled to the max, but see? It’s all the hyungs’ doing.

“I’ll pay you back,” the maknae still insisted stubbornly. His pride wouldn’t let him just let his hyung pay for the baby’s stuff, too.

“How?”

“Well, I’ve been thinking about that. When Excalibur and I move to that small, quiet town you’re talking about, I’ll get a job there or something.”

“What kind of job?”

“I’m also not yet sure about that,” Kyuhyun admitted sheepishly. Then, he just shrugged. “But hey, a small, simple town like that’s surely got some great need for my genius, right?”

Hankyung could only stare at the younger.

The problem with Kyuhyun’s genius was that… well, it’s never just ‘genius’ itself. It was always coupled with evil.

Evil genius.

Yet again, Hankyung wondered if there wouldn’t be divine punishment waiting for him for unleashing Kyuhyun on innocent, peacefully living small-town folk.

“…I’m gonna go take a shower,” was all that Hankyung could say, and he walked away from the table and left Kyuhyun to happily enjoy the rest of his cucumber pancakes and broccoli shake.

Hankyung brought Kyuhyun to a huge, high-end baby store at the suggestion of his cousin, Su Yin, who insisted that the place had almost everything that an infant would need.

The shop employees and even the manager couldn’t help but gawk as the two guys in many layers of clothing and wearing shades did their “shopping”. As curious as they were about the strange strangers, they kept their distance. Because shopping with an evil maknae could never turn out as just “normal” shopping. And the shop employees all recognized from the crazy gestures and snappy comments
