Book 1: Impossible? It's Possbile!

Chapter 2: Positive

The next day, Kyuhyun woke up feeling like he had been run over by a giant bulldozer.

And no, he does not have a hangover. He would have welcomed that compared to this! It’s not even his head that’s in’ right now, but his stomach. Like it has been every morning recently. It was as if the giant bulldozer passed over it. Back and forth. Several times. Repeatedly.

He sat up in bed and the movement made his stomach lurch.

He knew all too well by now what that churning feeling meant.

He ran out of his bedroom, into the bathroom across the hallway, and making it just in time to spill the contents of his stomach into the toilet bowl that’s been his usual companion every morning lately.

“Ugh, this ,” Kyuhyun moaned pitifully, wiping his mouth with the back of his hand and cursing the stomach bug that seemed to have made its comfortable home inside of him. He flushed the contents of toilet bowl and, feeling quite drained, lied down right there and then on the bathroom floor. He didn’t give a how pathetic he must look right now- all he cared was how the tiles felt nice and cool against his hot, sweaty skin.

After who knows how long, Kyuhyun finally mustered the energy to stand up.

As he exited the bathroom, an odd thought suddenly struck him. He wondered why none of his hyungs had walked in on him the whole time that he was sprawled on the tiles. With many people living together in their dorm, people still fight and argue for the next spot in using the bathroom, even on days where they had no schedules like today.

Kyuhyun wandered through their dorm and realized that he was the only one left. All s must have already left to do their own thing and enjoy their free time.

But, really? This early in the morning? Kyuhyun would have bet that his hyungs would have liked the chance to sleep in a bit.

Only when he entered the kitchen and glanced at the wall clock did he realized that it wasn’t early anymore.

It was almost lunch time.

Maybe he just got up really late today.

He couldn’t have spent that long half-passed out in the bathroom.

Could he?

Well, either scenario felt possible with how tired he felt.

Checking the table, Kyuhyun saw that Ryeowook thoughtfully left a huge (now cold) breakfast for him. However, when the aroma hit the maknae’s nose, his stomach gave another threatening lurch.

Kyuhyun took that threat seriously.

Since he didn’t want to risk another visit to the toilet bowl so soon, he just walked back to his room and fell face down on his bed.

As if things weren’t bad enough for him lately with the love of his life breaking up with him and getting together with her instead, his body apparently also decided that it was the perfect time to fall ill.

He couldn’t help but wonder idly if this was some kind of divine punishment for all the evil that he had unleashed into the world (and especially into the lives of his usual victims, his dearest SJ hyungs).

Kyuhyun felt just so tired lately. Lately, practice hadn’t been going on for so long, and he would feel about to collapse already. His energy levels seemed to be constantly on ‘low’ these days, no matter how much he rested and slept more than usual. And his stomach turned into a moody beast. One moment he would feel like gorging down Ryeowook’s entire inventory of food in their kitchen, and then next moment… he would feel like having another meeting with his new friend, the toilet bowl.

As he stared up at the ceiling, Kyuhyun thought hard. A worried frown started to appear on his face.

What was going on with him?

What if he was really sick?

Maybe he should take Ryeowook’s advice and go see a doctor?

But the doctor would probably just say that it’s stuff that comes with an idol’s life, right? He would just be wasting his precious free time at the clinic. After all, there’s nothing odd with an idol being tired, right?

And all this morning sickness was either due to a stubborn stomach bug or nausea caused by all the Changtoria hype recently (and Kyuhyun strongly thought it was the latter).

Kyuhyun then scoffed.

‘Morning sickness,’ the maknae mentally snorted at his own choice of words.

If he was a girl, he should probably be getting worried that he might be-

Kyuhyun paused.

That finally got him thinking.

But- no. He was being stupid. There was no way that he could be.

Sure, when he had been with Changmin, he was always the, ehem, receiver in their relationship. And it had been almost 3 months since they’ve had that mind-blowing right before they broke up…

But the fact still remained that Kyuhyun was a guy.

Guys cannot get-!

He couldn’t even bring himself to think of the word now.

Nope.

No way.

No chance in hell. (And he should know a lot about hell, since his hyungs always claim that that’s where he came from.)

Unconciously, he let a hand rest and feel his stomach. It suddenly struck him how it felt much... firmer than he remembered. And since Kyuhyun's version of a 'work out' was done in the virtual game world, it wasn't even the kind of firmness like those delicious 8-pack abs that a certain ex-boyfriend of his has.

No, Kyuhyun's felt like he could be-

But he just couldn't be! That can't happen to males! God, he was worse than his idiotic hyungs if he thought that could possibly happen.

His imagination's just probably going into an overdrive right now, with all his worries and troubles making his mental health... well, not in its best state. That had to be it.

Kyuhyun tossed and turned in his bed, trying to rid his brain of that silly and way impossible thought.

But it was already there in his head. It was one of those bad, paranoid thoughts that just wouldn’t go away and stop tormenting you once it was already planted there.

Kyuhyun tried to fight it for a good, few minutes.

But he eventually gave in to the urge.

He had to make sure.

He jumped out of bed and disguised heavily (because he could only imagine the kind of scandals that would make headlines if Cho Kyuhyun was spotted buying that. Though it wouldn’t be in the way that people would most likely speculate: that he had gotten some girl pr- No, he still can’t think of that word, even in that totally different scenario.)

Kyuhyun rushed out of their dorm, intending to go straight to the pharmacy.

There was nothing wrong with making 100% sure. Right?

Just to make goddamn sure.

Just to prove to himself that it really just couldn’t happen.
