Shopping for attention

Jaejoong reached over Changmin’s head to get the sauce. “No!” the one-year old pulled the hand back by the sleeve and snuggled it.

Jaejoong sighed. He checked his mental grocery list then walked to the cold storage section. He bent a bit to pick some frozen peas. “Naw!” the boy jumped in his hold and clutched the back of Jaejoong’s sweater for purchase. “I’m not putting you down baby. Just getting the peas.” Changmin shook his head against Jaejoong’s chest not allowing him to be separated from his mother.

“I wonder what brought this on…..” Jaejoong pulled the horn of Changmin’s cap playfully to make him look at his face. “if you don’t let Mama shop, you won’t get any food.”

“Cuddurs~!” Changmin tucked himself under Jaejoong’s neck and played with his scarf. Jaejoong’s bottom lip jutted out, sulking that he’s not getting any work done thanks to his son turned his human accessory for today.

His phone rang and he answered without looking, knowing who it is. “Your son has latched on like a koala and I can’t accomplish anything.” Husky laughter was heard on the other end and Jaejoong pouted. Changmin tried to pry away the phone from his mother because Jaejoong wasn’t being attentive to him because of it. Jaejoong whispered to his baby, “it’s daddy.” Since it’s his father, Changmin allowed Jaejoong to continue as he looked around the place.
