Hi guys, thanks for subscribing and reading my story. So, I'm going to present to you the second chapter of the story. Enjoy~!

Sunggyu got to his Mathematics lesson, placing his books and stationary neatly on the table, and waited for the teacher to come. His friend Dongwoo arrived and sat beside him, and he spotted that black mark on his book.

“Oh what’s that mark? Did you step on your book to release your huge pressure?” Dongwoo joked about that to irritate Sunggyu.

“No. I won’t do this to my book ok. Just some kind of jerk did this. He is totally a jerk.” Sunggyu sighed at the sight of the mark.

“Who is that? Do I know him?”

“Yes. You know him. Everyone in the school knows him. The almighty Nam Woohyun. I wonder why people like – “ Sunggyu replied when Dongwoo shouted.

“What?! HE stepped on it? Sell the book to me. I’m going to make a big profit if I sell it to his fan club.” Dongwoo said it before Sunggyu gave a smack on his head.

“Not my book. Just make him step on your book.” He said it when the said person walked into the class.

Jerk. Sunggyu saw him entering the classroom, again uproaring the whole classroom, with the girls in the class quickly give their prettiest side to wave to Woohyun, hoping to get attention from Woohyun, or better make Woohyun remember them. Sunggyu witnessed this for loads of times, as he took nearly all classes with Woohyun. He just didn’t understand why girls just fall for him blindly. He’s hot though. Sunggyu admitted.

Woohyun walked into the classroom, pleased to see the welcoming waves from all girls (and most of the boys) in the class, and tried to wave back to every person in the room. Sometimes he would send winks to those girls who kind of look hot, making those girls squeak.

He looked around the room, and saw one guy that looked familiar, that guy with a hamster-like face, who was just reading his book without actually caring about his presence, the presence of the Nam Woohyun. He then remembered the little incident in the morning. Oh that nerd. Is he in our class? Haven’t seen him before. He went to his seat carelessly without thinking of him again, when the teacher entered the classroom with a huge pile of papers.

“Ok class. I just finished correcting the quiz you did last week. It’s … not good in general. Perhaps I would need to give you more homework.” The teacher sighed, and the students groaned loudly when they heard ‘more homework’.

“Just stop groaning. Sunggyu, come out to distribute the marked quizzes. I don’t want to waste time for handing out the papers. I need to start teaching. By the way, you did well, as always.” The teacher complimented. Sunggyu lightly nodded his head as a way to say ‘thank you’, and then got the pile of quizzes from the teacher.

Sunggyu handed out the papers one by one to the his classmates in their seats, who seem not to care to say thanks to Sunggyu, or even just to look up to see who’s giving their papers, well except Dongwoo, who shouted out ‘that’s not my paper’ when he saw the low marks on his quiz paper, resulting in a furious glare from the teacher.

Sunggyu looked at the name of the next quiz paper to be given out. Nam Woohyun. His face suddenly got darkened at the sight of the name. Then he took a glimpse of his mark. What! 15 out of 100. So much for the popular guy of the school. He laughed out loud secretly. He approached Woohyun’s seat and gave him the paper. Woohyun looked up and saw the nerd handing him the paper. He also saw him giving him some kind of sarcastic smile. What’s with that smile? Woohyun shivered. He looked down to his quiz paper and saw the mark. Well, at least I got some marks. Woohyun shrugged in his shoulder, and started drawing stuff on the quiz paper.

“Nam Woohyun. Kim Sunggyu. Would you two stay behind for just a while?” The teacher told the two guys when the bell rang. Both Sunggyu and Woohyun looked at the teacher cluelessly. Why would the teacher ask them to stay behind?

“I guess I’ll see you next lesson. Have fun with the almighty Woohyun.” Dongwoo patted on Sunggyu’s shoulder and ran out of the classroom, without giving a chance Sunggyu to smack on his head again.

Sunggyu and Woohyun stood in front of the teacher. Only these three people were left in the classroom. Sunggyu stared at Woohyun. Why do I need to stay behind with this stupid guy? Similarly, Woohyun stared at Sunggyu too. So this nerd’s called Sunggyu. The silence was quite awkward until the teacher opened his mouth to speak.

“Sunggyu. You’ve been performing greatly in this subject. So there’s a competition that I would like to invite you to go. It’s the Mathematics Olympiad for High School Students. I think it’s a good opportunity for you to challenge yourself. I’ll enroll you in the competition, so is it ok for you? It should be held in your senior year. I’m just informing you now for you to prepare during the summer holiday. You still got about six months to prepare for it.” The teacher asked Sunggyu. Sunggyu gasped a bit when he heard that he’s going to the competition that he always wanted to go. He nodded heavily for a few times. “I’m definitely going. Thank you for the chance.” Sunggyu replied, though it’s like whispering. Woohyun rolled his eyes. Maths competition. Boring. The teacher nodded happily when Sunggyu accepted his offer, and then turned to Woohyun, quickly putting away his smile.

“Woohyun. You know your marks of the quiz is so low this time, so are the marks in the previous quizzes. You really need to work harder, or else you may need to repeat this year. The final exam is near. You need to catch up. I don’t want to face you again next year.” The teacher commented, but Woohyun seemed that he didn’t care much about this.

The teacher shook his head. “So Woohyun I will need to give you extra tutorial. And that’s compulsory, no skipping.” Woohyun gulped when he heard the words.

“Why? I can revise better by myself. I don’t need extra classes. Besides, I think you do
