I struggled for a bit and eventually gave up trying to stay afloat, I knew it was too late because even though I was struggling beside the boat he didn't notice me. I think I felt a push too, did I imagine it? I don't know.

I watched my hair float in front of my face as I drifted lower and lower, the weight of my clothes weighing me down. I'd given up trying to hold my breath as I felt my insides fill up with the water that surrounded me. Drowning was a scary thing, but right now? Drowning or dying it didn't matter, I felt like I didn't have anything to look forward to so it didn't matter, not even a bit.

What about Taekwoon?

I thought I heard a small voice ask. I smiled sadly to myself as I shut my eyes succumbing to the darkness, he won't have to worry anymore, I was nothing but a burden anyway...

  "......EU- KYUNG!!!  WAKE UP ..."

I saw nothing but darkness but I heard someone call out to me, like someone was trying to pull me away from the netherworld, trying to bring me back to life. I felt a sudden jolt and heard the voice again.

" YOU CAN'T LEAVE ME LIKE THIS!!!!" 

Another jolt and I saw a spot of light. It felt like someone was pushing down on my chest again and again.

" WAKE UP!! WAKE UP PLEASE!! "

The spot grew bigger to reveal a blur of colours, another jolt, I could hear again. 

" Look its no use, she went in too deep " 

" NO! SHE WILL COME BACK!! "

I felt sand under my body, looks like I was lying down on the ground.

I felt the blur grow clearer and saw someone or something bring their face close to mine. 

" Eunkyung ah.."

That voice.. I saw a patch of black come into view.

"...Come back, come back to me please...don't leave me"

Was he crying? 

I felt a pair of lips come into contact with mine and felt my chest swelling up with air, one push I saw a pale face come into view. Another push, yes he was crying, another, I coughed out the water that had entered my body.

I coughed uncontrollably for a while and ended up puking, I then lay flat on my back panting. I saw the sky above me blue speckled with white clouds, then a face came into view. I locked eyes with him and held his gaze, his eyes were a shade of red,his face was swollen and he was wet from head to toe. I felt tears well up in my eyes as he continued to stare, amidst all that was happening I managed to breathe out " Yah..".

He bent down and kissed my forehead " You're okay Eunkyung ah, you're okay " he whispered
