nothing
Fidgeting, she’s walking back and forth in her room. Her heart beat so fast, she could tell. The idea wasn’t completely stupid, she reasoned. But what if it would be like always, failed and left her even sadder. Even if it worked, still, it didn’t seem right.
Heaving deep, she looked down, locking eyes with her phone laid silently on her bed. Approaching, she sat down on the side of her bed, still watching her phone. Exhaling another heavy sigh, she finally grabbed her phone.
She wasn’t drunk, nope, not a single can was here.
She only had to press number two on her phone for a couple of seconds and … voilà, she’s calling him. Easy. So simple. But of course she didn’t do that, yet.
Inhaling deeply, she recalled the first call she made. It was embarrassing, that she wished she had a gut to bury herself alive. When she was sober and remembered everything, no matter how much she thought about it, there was nothing could beat that embarrassing birthday call.
Embarrassing, it might be true. But at least there was a real progress for her long time crush. And it was pretty successful, if she’s more honest to herself.

Anything could be the reason. But it was different. No matter how long she waited, he didn’t call her back like he normally did.
It’s strange. This never happened before.
After waiting for three days in unsettling feeling, she gathered her gut to call him, wishing it was only her stupid anxiety, or him being extra busy for the comeback, anything but bad thing.
However, rather than hearing the usual ring, she was connected to the robotic voice instead, instructing her to leave a message. Starting that day, his number was off.
He didn’t tell her anything. He never sent her any hint. And that news came out, where his agency announced his break.
She tried to call Daehyun, asking for explanation. But Daehyun couldn’t help much.
She was confused, flustered, completely clueless. She thought they made a real progress. He promised her a reason, a reason to know him better. She thought it was a clear chance he’s giving her. She thought she was then someone different, someone special.
But it seemed all were only her assumption. She was wr
