[CONTENTID2]"Look, I know you're angry and all but...you need to focus," Kris chided me as we did continuous sets of push-ups as instructed by the coach. "The homecoming game is in a few weeks and we need to be prepared. You can go back to hating Sehun afterwards." My jaw automatically clenched at the foul name. Anger egged me on and I found myself losing count of how many push-ups I'd done. When my arms were weak and sweat coated my entire body, I collapsed and heard cheering all around me.

"That was insane!" Chanyeol exclaimed, clapping commendably. The others uttered words of agreement but I couldn't even spare them a crooked smile. My eyes met Sehun's and I fisted my hands, forcing myself to keep them at my side. The bored-looking male rolled his eyes and made his way over. 

"Oh ," Kyungsoo swore.

"It's about to go down," Chen added, grinning from ear to ear. Sehun stopped a couple of feet from me, his arms folded as he sported that same bored expression. "Anyone got popcorn?"

"I suggest you back the up," I gritted out, pinning him with a hateful glare. "Before I'm tempted to smash your face in." 

"Get over it, Kai. So what if I was her date? It's what her parents would've expected." I opened my mouth to retort but he silenced me with a raised brow. "You know it too. It's not fair but it is what it is."

"Everyone's saying you kissed her. You know I like her," I growled and he simply shrugged. "Obviously that doesn't matter to you. I can't be friends with scum like you."

"So what, you think you're the only one who likes Penelope? Yes, I kissed her. I don't regret it, in fact, I'd do it again in a heart-" Before he could finish his sentence, my fist connected with his face and snapped it to the side, blood trickling from the corner of his lip. He wiped it with the back of his hand and snorted, looking up at me. "Is that all you've got?"

"You ing-" I lunged at him and we landed on the grass with a soft thud, fists swinging and legs kicking at random. I rolled over so that I was on top of him. Pain shot in my left cheekbone as he struck it with focused force and I fisted his hair, raising his head before slamming it into the ground. A whistle sounded and we were yanked apart by several of our teammates.

"What is the meaning of this!?" Coach roared and I spat out blood-laced saliva, touching my aching jaw. "SOMEONE ING ANSWER ME, DAMMIT!"

"Kai and Sehun got into a fight over a girl, Coach," Luhan answered and I shot him a glare. He shrugged apologetically. 

"You're damn lucky I need you both on this team or I SWEAR I WOULD SEND YOU STRAIGHT TO THE PRINCIPAL'S OFFICE!" He barked back, gripping the clipboard in his hands so hard his knuckles went white. "I don't have a punishment for you yet BUT WHEN I DO, TRUST ME WHEN I SAY IT'LL BE BAD! GOT IT!?"

"Yes, Coach!" Both Sehun and I replied curtly. With a satisfied nod, the older man turned around and strode off.

"Practice over," he muttered under his breath. We returned to the changing rooms and I grabbed my towel, preparing to go shower when a hand landed on my forearm. I turned and almost punched the face staring back at me. 

"Don't ing touch-"

"Kai, will you stop being a ing and listen to me?" Sehun snapped. I glared at him but said nothing. He sighed and released me. "Penelope likes you. A lot. It pains me to say it but it's the truth, she doesn't want me, she wants you. You have nothing to worry about." I stared him dead in the eyes, searching for any sign of sarcasm - I found none. "I'm sorry for hurting you. I really am."

"Why did you do it?" I dared to ask. "Why did you go to the benefit with her? Why did you kiss her when you knew I liked her?"

"I...I don't know," he mumbled, rubbing the back of his neck. "I like her, Jongin. I have for a while and with her break up with Logan...I guess I thought I might have a chance. Then you swooped in and claimed her. I wanted to show her I could be good for her also." His words shocked me as much as they saddened me. I wasn't angry at Sehun but I did feel sorry for him. I also felt a slight guilt for taking Penelope away from him but I wouldn't apologise for my feelings. As much as I wanted to hate Sehun for doing those things to her and going against me, I did not. I was not a very hateful person, I simply did not have it in me. Even Logan, I could not bring myself to hate the guy - sure, I resented and disliked him but that was the extent of it. Sehun was my friend, even if he hadn't shown it lately, and I would try hard to build a bridge with him. 

"O...okay," I gulped.
 
"Okay?"

"Okay. I forgive you," I replied, a small smile etching across my face. "Friends?" I extended my hand and he grinned, nodding as he shook it.

"Friends."

"That was gay as ," Baekhyun snorted, blowing in his manicured nails.

"You're gay as ," Chanyeol retorted.

"So? You love it," the smaller male said with a wink. I burst out laughing at Chanyeol's horrified expression. "You want me, Yeol."

"Yeah, right!"

"Nah, he has a crushie wushie on Cleo Montenegro," Xiumin cooed, pinching the giant's cheek. Chanyeol scowled and slapped his hand away, covering his reddening cheeks. "Ah-ha! It's true, you like her."
