[Skip a Week]
China wasn’t too bad. I was always busy and I was always tired. I took lessons and I could barely even communicate with the people around me but luckily I had translators.
Jae!
How have you been? The guys are still great.
Your friends moved out earlier this week. :(
I feel a little lonely without them… How’s
Work going? Hopefully great? I haven’t
Heard from you in a while… take care! :)
Hyunseung.
I smiled and closed my phone. I was currently on break from one to the recordings that was going on in the neighboring entertainment companies. I had a late language study and an early company meeting. I intended on taking a nap before I had to go back in to the studio.
Hey Hyunnie
Sorry I haven’t responded to many of these.
I’ve just been so busy. Sorry. I’m also sorry
That I left you alone at the apartment.
Give it time and I promise that I will be back
Soon. Say hi to all the guys for me… :)
Message me soon…. It’s nice to hear from
Someone I actually know…
Jae.
“Jae we have to head back to the studio.” Jungmin called from the door. I nodded and put my phone up. “Someone from back home?” Jungmin asked. I nodded.
“Yeah Hyunseung….he’s the one that checks up on me the most. The other guys send me messages too, but Hyunseung I lived with Hyunseung so I can understand that he gets lonely.” I told him. He nodded agreeing with me.
“Yeah, I miss Korea…. Let’s just get past China first okay?” Jungmin motivated me. I nodded and I sat in the recording.
*Please time go faster…*
[2 weeks later]
I found it kind of an adventure to be in China. I got to explore more of China and I even got to rest up more than when I first got here. I started to get use to the cuisine and I even got to see Super Junior’s HanKyung. He showed me around himself. The only thing that I started to notice was that the messages from my friends became less and less. I became worried. I wanted to call, but I never seemed to have the time.
*I wonder what is going on back there.*
Hyunnie…
What is going on? I haven’t heard from any
Of the guys? I’m a little worried.
One more week and I’ll be back…..I’ll be in
Japan though…please reply.
“So are all your things packed?” Jungmin asked me. I nodded.
“Yeah, I’m set to go.” I told him. I looked at my dorm and I felt a tinge of sadness. Beside it all, I really did like my stay in China. Beijing is a beautiful city.
“What’s wrong?” Jungmin asked, noticing that I looked back at my room.
“Nothing, it’s just…. Don’t you think it was nice? In a different way it was like a vacation.” I told him. He nodded.
“Yeah it was nice wasn’t it? I guess we’ll have to think about that when we head over to Japan for a total beating.” He told me. I laughed.
“How about we don’t think about that just yet…” I told him. I took one last look at my room and turned off the lights.
*Hello real world*
[The Last Week]
It was pretty brutal. If I wasn’t doing school things with my tutor, I was doing paper work with my grandpa. On the plus side, the Chinese seemed very welcoming towards our new branch. I loved the fact that I got to see my family. I spoiled Ainosuke to no end.
“Onii-Chan do you have to go back to Korea?” he asked. I nodded.
“Sorry Ainosuke but I have to go. I’m going to go study. I promise I’ll be back every now and then okay.” I promised. He shot me a smile and he held my hand as we went home. We were going to have a big dinner before I left.
“Now honey we know you’ve been working hard so we decided to spoil you.” My mom told me. I looked at her questionably. Then I took a second look at the table and I saw all different kinds of foods. Seafood udon, sashimi, tempura, gyoza, and even though it was Korean, hobak jun.
“Thanks mom!” I exclaimed hugging her. I immediately sat down at the table, with Ainosuke right beside me.
“Nii-chan… can you get me some gyoza?” He asked me. I nodded as he handed me his plate.
“Here ya go…” I said as I gave it to him. I ate plenty and I was very happy to be home. I was even able to get a family picture. I even got one of sleeping Ainosuke. Again, just for a while, everything was perfect. When Ainosuke fell asleep I took this opportunity to leave.
“Alright, well I guess I’ll see you some other time,” I told my mom and dad. They both gave me a hug.
“We’re going to miss you. Take care of yourself.” My dad told me. I nodded.
“Behave and don’t give Hyunseung too much trouble.” My mom added. I laughed and nodded.
“I will… thanks mom and dad. I’ll be good don’t worry,” I assured them. The next thing I heard was the company car beep behind me. I waved at my parents one last time before heading to the airport. I called Hyunseung before I hopped on the plane.
“Hello….” I called.
“Jae is that you?” Hyunseung answered.
“Yeah, it’s me… what’s been going on with you and the guys. I haven’t received any text messages or calls from anyone. Well except for the one from Kikwang that warned me about falling in love with random strangers.” I informed him.
“Um… well it’s going to make sense when you get home.” He told me. I sighed. I had a feeling that things were about to take a turn for the worst.
“Well… I’m going to be home tomorrow morning so please be at the airport.” I begged.
“Don’ worry I’ll be there…” He promised.
“Alright well my flight is here so I’ll talk to you when my flight lands.” I told him. I hung up my phone and took a deep sigh.
“Bad news?” Jungmin commented.
“Not yet… just be there to support me yeah?” I said, poking his shoulder.
“Always,” He answered jokingly. I laughed and we got on our flight. Jungmin and I had become much closer since this trip, if that was even possible. In a sense we understood each other’s lives perfectly. He lived a life parallel to my own. For that reason, we got along so well. Something told me that I was going to need him much more than I did before.
[At the Airport]
When we arrived at the airport my Teacher and Jungmin decided to grab something to eat.
“Are you coming with?” Jungmin asked, grabbing his luggage. I shook my head no.
“Nah, Hyunseung said that he was going to be here so I guess I’ll just head home for a change.” I told him. He nodded in understanding.
“Alrighty… well I’ll be home soon too so look out for me alright?” He said. I nodded and hugged him and I made my way to the front of the airport. Before I went out to where Hyunseung told me he was going to meet me, I decided to freshen up a bit. I washed my face and took a fresh sip of water. I looked in the mirror and fixed my clothes.
*Well… what surprises are waiting for me now?*
I walked out of the restroom and ran in to a familiar face.
“Yoseob?” I called him. He turned and smiled at me.
“Jae! We’ve been waiting for you….”He exclaimed, in almost a faked way.
“Yeah, I was just about to head that way… “I informed him. I looked at him curiously. “Yoseob is there something wrong?” I asked him. I felt that he was acting kind of strange.
“Look before you see anyone…. I’m sorry.” He told me. I looked at him confused. Before I could say anything he pressed his lips against mine and he walked off.
*Sorry… for what?*
