I hadn’t talked to Yoseob since that day. I was going to when we went back to school on Monday but my professor came to take me out of class. In fact, she took me out of school for the whole week on business. We flew in and out different places in Japan I took Jungmin with me. Tohru and Momo knew where I was off and they said they would cover for me. I liked my time in Japan. It helped ease my pain away. Tacos from Osaka helped too. I went around meeting stars and important entertainment people in business attire. I even got to spend some time with my little brother Ainosuke. He barely turned 3. He was still in his cute stage. I made sure to take lots and lots of pictures with him. I started to miss my sweats and what not.
I also got much closer to Jungmin and Hyunseung. Even though Hyunseung was all the way in Korea he would call and text all he could. Yoseob also called many times, but I didn’t even answer his calls. I didn’t feel like talking to him.

“Yah, Yoseob is calling again.” Jungmin said coming in to my room. We were currently staying at a hotel paid by my grandparents.

“Ugh… fine. I’ll answer.” I said, grabbing Jungmin’s phone. I had yet to get my own company phone so I had to borrow Jungmin’s. “Hello..”I answered, as I placed it on speaker phone. I was getting ready for this formal thing that we were going to do today. It was our last day in Japan so we had to attend.

“Jae is that you?” Yoseob questioned. I could tell that he couldn’t believe I had answered.

“Yeah it’s me. Who else would it be?” I questioned.

“Umm how are you?” He asked. He sounded kind of worried.

“I’m okay.” I answered shortly.

“Where have you been? Even one has been wondering where you went. Jungmin is also missing.” He told me, finally letting out everything that was on his mind.

*I’m guessing Tohru and Momo pretended they didn’t know where I went.. x.x*

“I’m just gone. Don’t worry I’m fine. “ I answered, not wanting to get in to details.

“Oh okay. That’s good to know. When will you be back?” He questioned.

“I’m not sure…” I told him. I knew I just didn’t want him to be waiting for me.

“Oh, well maybe you can try and get a hold of Jungmin. Apparently when you stopped coming to school so did he,” He informed me. I quickly slipped on the pumps that the stylists wanted me to wear. I was currently wearing a wrap dress with a long chain necklace. It was nice, but I would rather be in a pair of jeans.

“Yeah I doubt I could get a hold of Jungmin, but I’ll try.” I answered. Just as I finished dressing I got my phone and placed it on my ear. It was silent; neither of us said anything to each other.

“Hey Jae, what were you going to tell me the other day?” Yoseob asked cautiously.

“I’m sorry for standing you up. I didn’t mean to. But hey at the very least you got to spend a good day with your girlfriend right?” I answered. I suddenly felt the air get awkward.

“Look about that… she…she..”He started. Then Jungmin came in to my room.

“Let’s go!” he mouth, showing me that we were late. I nodded.

“Umm Yoseob… I have to go…I’ll talk to you later okay. Maybe if you’re up later tonight I’ll call or something.” I told him.

“Uhh…okay.” He said, I could hear a tone of disappointment on him.

“Bye,” I said quickly.

“Bye,” Yoseob answered. I hung up the phone and handed it over to Jungmin. Don’t get me wrong I was curious to know what Yoseob was going to tell me but at this point business seemed more important.

The meeting was very elegant and I felt out of place. My professor kept telling me I had to get use to these things, but I wasn’t raised as a high class child, this world was very awkward to me. Still I went through it without any problem. When we got to the hotel, we packed and fell asleep for the last day in Japan.

[With Yoseob/ YOSEOB’S POV]

I hung up the phone and sighed with frustration.

“You didn’t tell her did you hyung?” Kikwang asked me.

“No, she sounded like she was busy. Then she told me she had to go.”I told him.

“What are the chances that she ran off with Jungmin?” Kikwang asked to no one in particular.

“Why would she do that? Plus she’s a good girl; she wouldn’t miss a week of school for him.” I tried to explain. I didn’t know what to think. I wanted to talk to her.

“So why did you introduce Sunmi as your girlfriend anyways?” Kikwang asked me curiously.

“Well I was trying to help her make some guy jealous, and he was right there. She told me to pretend to be her boyfriend.” I expanded. Kikwang shook his head in disapproval.

“You dug yourself in to a hole.” Kikwang concluded.

“I know, so what do I do?” I questioned him.

“Make her listen….”Kikwang said simply.

*how am I going to do that?*

[The Next Day : Jae’s POV]

I woke up and I got ready thinking I was going to go to the airport in my sweats.

“What are you doing?” My professor scolded.

“I’m getting ready to leave?” I answered questionably.

“Not in those clothes. You need to be well dressed in public even if it is just going to the airport. Go change out of those sweats.” She commanded. I muttered inappropriate things under my breath. I ended up having to wear a buttoned down dress shirt, skinny jeans, a white blazer, with black pumps.

“I hate her…” I told Jungmin. He just laughed.

“Yeah well she’s making you look nice.” He told me. I rolled my eyes at him.

“I don’t care about looking nice. I just want to be comfortable.” I told him. He shrugged and we headed to the plane. This was a familiar thing to me now. Coming in and out of airports seemed to be part of the job.

When I arrived back home things were quiet. Hyunseung was expecting me. Apparently the girls went out.

*great I come home and they leave? *

“Welcome back!” He said. He looked at me strangely.

“What?” I asked him.

“Why is it that every time you come home you’re looking all nice? You aren’t sleeping with some guy are you?” He eyed me suspiciously. I playfully punched his cheek.

“Yeah right, NO! What do you take me for a ?” I questioned him. He laughed.

“Well I was just going to head out. Junhyung said he wanted to go mix some rhymes and I said I would come with. “He informed me. I nodded.

“Sounds good, I’m just going to get unpacked and then maybe go eat something later.” I added. He nodded.

“Alright see you later!” he waved as he left the door. I placed all my things in my room. I was happy to see that my friends left it really nice for me. Then the doorbell rang. I figured Hyunseung forgot something so I opened the door without looking to see who it was. When the door opened I was surprised to see Yoseob standing right in front of me.

“Y-you’re back!” He exclaimed.

“Yeah…” I muttered. “Come in, I invited as I went to organize the presents I got everybody. I even hung up a picture of me and my brother.

“So you got back today?” He questioned.

“Yeah, I did.” I told him.

“Well you look great. Are you going to go out or something?” He asked.

“Yeah, I was going to head in to the city to get something to eat and then stop by my teacher’s.” I answered semi truthfully.

“Oh… well umm can I tell you something?” He asked. I shrugged.

“Why not?” I told him.

“Well besides the fact that you look stunning, I wanted to tell you about Sunmi.” He expanded.

“You don’t have to explain anything to me. Look she’s you’re girlfriend that’s okay.” I lied. I knew I was hurt, but going through all of this I became the expert in masking my emotions.

“SHE’S NOT MY GIRLFRIEND!” he yelled. I looked at him in shock. Yoseob never yelled like that.

“Look you don’t have to lie to me.” I stated.

“I’M NOT LYING! I-i… I just offered to do her a favor by pretending to be her boyfriend. She wanted to make some guy jealous and when you came he was right there. So I had to say it. She’s not my girlfriend… she never has been and never will be.” He confessed. I looked at him wide eyed. I didn’t know what to think of him or what he was telling me

“Well…thanks for telling me the truth.” I answered. He nodded.

“Look I’m not going to keep you from your plans. Maybe we can hang out later. I missed you this week.” He told me. I shrugged.

“Maybe,” I answered unsurely. He left and I plopped down on the couch. At that point I didn’t even know if I wanted to deal with Yoseob anymore.
