Heiress of L O V E-------------------------
I sat in yet another class bored out of my mind. Don’t get me wrong I wasn’t bad at school, but I wasn’t all that interested or passionate about school either. My mind would drift off every which direction. Mainly, my mind would drift off to Japan. I would think of my friends and family. I wondered how all the conditions back home were. My family wasn’t rich, but my family wasn’t dirt poor. Still, we would suffer our financial troubles. It was the same for my friend’s families. I say that’s why we were all so close. We knew what we were going through.
I call home every now and then, but school keeps me so busy I fall asleep before I have the chance. I bet some of you are wondering why I’m in Korea anyways. To be honest, I don’t really know myself. My parents just insisted I come here to study, and after all the sacrifices my parents have made for me I couldn’t deny them that. So I came here and moved in campus. However, my parents wanted me to move in with their friend’s son. So I live with the famous Jang Hyunseung. I didn’t know that until I almost got beat down by his fans.
Jang Hyunseung was just as nice as he looked. I guess that’s why my parents wanted me to live with him. In some ways he was like the best friend I never had, and in some ways he was like the brother I never had. Don’t get me wrong; when I first met him I’ll admit I had a crush on him. And sometimes I still think I do have a crush on him, but I leave that in the back of my mind considering I’m here to study and not fall in love.
Life in Korea was nice… it just got a little lonely.
“Miss Lee….”I heard my name being called. I looked up and saw my teacher shooting me a vicious glare at me.
*If her eyes were lasers I’d be dead.*
“Yes Ms. Ok?” I answered.
“If you have time to day dream you have time to answer my questions.” She scolded. I looked at her blankly and awaited whatever question she had for me. “What is the equation for current?”
“Umm voltage over resistance,” I said slightly unsure of myself. Once I saw the frown on her face I could tell that my answer was correct.
“Correct. Just because you know the material doesn’t mean that you can doze off whenever. Pay more attention Ms. Lee.” She commanded turning back to the front of the class.
“Yes ma’am,” I muttered.
Despite being caught day dreaming, I went back to looking out the window and day dreaming. I wondered what my friends were up to. I wanted to know why my parents wanted to send me so far from them.
-Ring-
The bell rang and class was over. I quietly picked up my books and put them in my bag.
*So where did Hyunseung want me to meet him?*
Hyunseung has been raving about me meeting his friends. I tried to get out of it, but he insisted that I meet them. He said that his friends were going to be around often and I had to get familiar with them. I’m not very good at becoming friendly with someone quickly, but I had to do my best for Hyunseung. I made my way to the front of the school and saw Hyunseung with a group of unknown people.
*I guess these are his friends?*
“Yah Jae I was looking for you. Come meet my friends” Hyunseung called me over. I timidly walked over to his group of friends. They were all good looking which made me want to go in to my shell even more.
“Hi,” I greeted quietly. They all waved at me kindly with smiles plastered on their faces.
“Jae this is Doojoon, Junhyung, Yoseob, Kikwang, and Dongwoon,” He said pointing at each one as he called their names. I looked at each one slowly. I could see why so many people were after these guys. However, one of them caught my eye. He was the guy Hyunseung introduced as Yoseob. He had chubby cheeks like a little boy and blond hair.
*I want to put him in my pocket and keep him to myself*
“We are going to eat want to come with?” Hyunseung asked.
“No, Thanks I think I’ll just head home and study.” I declined. He frowned slightly and shrugged.
“Okay, well if you need anything just call me.” He reminded me. I nodded and walked towards the exit of the school. I had no idea why but something told me today was going to be a strange day. The next thing I know my phone rings
-Mom and Dad-
*hn. I wonder why mom and dad are calling me so early.*I quickly opened my phone.
“Hello…” I answered.
“Hey I need to tell you something.” A voice I recognized as Tohru told me.
“Tohru? Why are you calling me from my home phone?” I asked, slightly suspicious as to what was going on.
“Tell her it’s important.” Another voice I recognized as Momo, said behind her.
“Momo? Okay guys what’s going on?” I asked.
*What are my friends doing calling me on my parent’s phone?* I wondered.
“Look There’s something important we’ve got to tell you,” Tohru said urgently.
“OKayy…” I stretched out, becoming even more curious as to what they were going to tell me. Something told me that what Tohru had to say was going to change my life.
