It still hung in my mind that Vanessa wasn't completely gone but it had been weeks since the last time I've seen her. But it still bothered me with what she had told me last. Her words rung in my head but I didn't let it bother me too much. What bothered me more is what my dad had given Junhong, I was a little confused. I still couldn't grasp the thought of what it was. I tried not to let that bother me either and focused on the upcoming holidays that would be a sort of hell that I never liked. My dad's part of the family always came over during the holidays and it was such a hassle. My mom's side of the family never really came over for the holidays because they were so far away, but they did send cards and small gifts when ever they could. 

I put on a coat and slumped out the door almost being pushed by an ecstatic Junhong. I was tired and didn't want to be anywhere but my bed that morning. 
“Hurry your up Violet!” Alex shouted from her car.
I got into the car and laid in the back seat and rested my head in Junhong's lap. 
“It's too early for me to be awake” I whined. 
“You're just not use to being up before noon, it's been like this for too long we have to ger you out of the house.” Eric said looking back at me. 
“Yeah, besides don't you need to do a little holiday shopping? I know I sure as hell need to.” Alex added.
“Yeah I guess I do need to do a little shopping. But that doesn't mean I have to be up this early.”
“Early bird gets the worm!” Alex said before taking off.
Alex wasn't wrong so after about five minutes I sat up and tried to snap myself out of my zombie like state. I looked over at Junhong and he smirked at me. I tilted my head in confusion until I seen him digging him is pockets. Then I became more confused and looked out the window. Snow had already claimed it's place on the ground covering the left over leaves that had fallen from the trees. I felt a small tug on my hair and I turned to Junhong. He had a comb in his hand with my hair tangled in it. I busted out laughing, I guess I didn't brush my hair this morning and just went out the door without double checking myself. 
“It is bad.” I asked. 
“It's not unfixable.” He chuckled as he ran the comb through my hair. 
I smiled and let him comb my hair. I finally came to my senses and dub into my bag and found some make up to at least make me look like I hadn't just crawled out of bed and went outside....well I did, but I didn't want anyone to know that. 

I was able to fix my appearance just in time. The mall was rather crowded but then again it is always crowded around this time of the year for obvious reasons. It was sort of a rush being around so many people, we all split up to do our own shopping since we all wanted to go to different stores. 
I went to one of my dads favorite stores and looked around a bit, I found a sweater that he might like and bought it. Then I went to a few other stores, bought Eric a tie, he likes wearing ties for some reason so that was easy, I got Alex a charm bracelet so now future gifts would be easier. Not being cheap, but smart. Now all I needed to do was buy something for Junhong. I walked around and didn't find anything that caught my eye. I was getting tired of looking and decided to go find a sweater that he might like. While looking I found a sweater, I found his size and it just so happened to be the last one on the rack. I quickly grabbed it before someone else did. 
I checked my phone to find a text from Junhong saying that he would be at the food court waiting for me when I was done with my personal shopping. 
I smiled to myself and made my way there. When I got there I seen him sitting by some blonde girl. I felt something burning inside me and I walked over to him and sat down right across from him. 
“Hey Zelo.” I said bluntly. 
“Hey Violet!” He said perking up. 
“Oh Violet, I haven't seen you since graduation.” The girl next to him said. 
I looked at her and it was none other than Claire. I don't know why but I didn't like her one bit. Is this was jealousy feels like?
“Yeah, nice to see you again” I forced a smile. 
“I didn't realize that you were here with friends.” Claire said turning to Junhong. 
He nodded awkwardly. 
I wanted to say something but I didn't want to make a scene, but then again I was burning with anger. 
“Zelo, can you help me find a dress to wear for my parents party?” she said as she touched his arm. 
This really set me off and I didn't know what else to do but get up. “I'm going to go get something to eat.” I said quickly before storming off. 
I bumped into Alex when I was getting in line to order my food. 
“Hey Violet, I was looking for you.” she said. 
“I just got here.” I said
“Hey isn't that Zelo over there?” she said eyeing him. 
I nodded. 
“Who is he with.” she asked. 
“Claire.” I rolled my eyes. 
“What? You're letting that happen? Go over there and do something about it.” She shoved me. 
“What am I suppose to do?” I looked at her. 
“Make it known that he is yours!
