So It Begins
When Differences Collide (Editing)Myunghee
I secretly entered Xiaolian’s bridal chamber since she would be there the rest of the night until Zitao came back. As the empress welcoming someone new to the royal family and as a sister in-law I thought it was only appropriate. I informed my court staff that they were to stay at rest and wait outside.
They obeyed and I entered the chambers only to find them empty and Xiaolian’s servants massacred. The stench of blood filled the air and you could tell these ladies died trying to put up a fight. I covered my mouth to prevent myself from screaming as I searched for Xiaolian but she wasn’t there. All that was left was her the ribbon they tied around her and Zitao’s hands. I felt myself getting sick to my stomach by the sight of the room. I felt myself backing up before running out of the room not wanting to look back.
“Bixia!” one of my ladies yelled after me but all I could think of was finding Luhan and Zitao.
The reception was in full swing when I ran in pushing my way through the crowd until I could reach Luhan. He was currently chatting with Persian ambassadors and trade commissioners.
“Myunghee” he blurted out as I pulled him away from the conversation to a vacant corner of the courtyard.
“X-Xiaolian-“I burst out in tears as I gripped tightly onto his arm.
“What is wrong?” he pulled me into his embrace as other guest began looking over trying not to cause suspicion with my outburst.
“S-She’s missing. I-I went to h-her chambers. There was so m-much blood-d.” I sobbed as he held me tighter while quickly calling over a guard.
“The receptions on lockdown no is to go in or out of this palace.” He demanded as he pulled me away from the party and back to my ladies in waiting “You protect her with your life. Do you understand me!” he shouted as they all nodded and pulled me toward my chambers despite me trying to get away.
“Luhan!” I shouted as he just stood there watching them pull me toward my chambers.
“I love you!” he shouted in response and ran back into the party as I stopped fighting a submitted to my servants and rushed to my chambers, not looking back.
Luhan
It had to be Jongin planning this. I hit the nearest pillar my anger growing. Zitao was accepting congratulations from many of the guests as I pulled him aside.
“Your wife is missing” I informed him while pulling him out of the party. Line of guards waiting for my instructions but I left Zitao to do that as I walked to the bridal chamber wanting to see exactly what my wife saw. As soon as I entered the smell of blood filled my nose causing me to cringe. The floor was covered in the deepest shade of red, bodies scattered about the floor. I walked over to the bed where Xiaolian was to be waiting fo
