Spring brings a time of new beginnings. A time where even though we may realize we are not the same as we once were our new spark of optimism may drive us towards what we could be. This is a story about the past, present, but most importantly the thought of the future. Not to mention it is also a story of a couple who is learning how to love again. For them hope springs eternal.

"We should end this," he started the conversation.

“Do you at least have a reason?” Hyemi looked at him with tear filled eyes as he ran a hand through his chestnut brown locks.

“I-“he paused struggling to form the answer he was looking for “I just don’t feel the same about us anymore,”

“That’s okay,” she mumbled not even bearing to look at him any longer and stormed off to her first-period class.

That was the beginning of the end but also the beginning of a long silence that she vowed to keep and a never-ending wave of guilt he wished to suppress.
