She didn’t have an ounce of sleep that night, it was still very soon in the morning, the sun had not risen yet but all she could do was moving uncomfortably in the bed, her eyes burning from staying awake for so long.

She was still so confused with yesterday events, she would think it was all a bad and delusional dream, but being here just prove her that everything was indeed right.

She didn’t wasn’t to believe what Hyunseung had told her and more so because it put the father that had taught her so much good in her life how sinful he was.

She couldn’t denied that fact either because she couldn’t help but recall that day she was separated from the two people she cared for the most; Hyunseung and her mother.

She remembered sneaking with him and hearing a heated conversation behind the giant doors of her father’s study. How the fear of the loud voices had her rooted on the floor and how she hadn’t understand what they were saying.

But now she did… if she wanted proof, what more but her own memories?

She remembers how Hyunseung’s father was asking her dad for money, how he refused to be involve with that kind of business again and how furious they both were.

Therefore, that was the truth, and that meant the rest he had said was truth also.

Though she couldn’t comprehend Soojin… the woman that had tortured her, that had vanish her mother traces in the house and that had done so wrong to her and her father, to be a good woman, she wouldn’t accept that. Not because she couldn’t find in her to forgive, but because a woman who does such things is not really someone she could trust so easily.

And then there was Hyunseung…

She didn’t want to think about him, about what he said and about her own feelings. The time was not the appropriate and she… even if he was the one that made her heart beat and even if she believe all his words and had forgiven him. She couldn’t just forget the hurt and the trust that he crumpled to the floor.

She was not ready to receive him back and start something in a moment so critic in her life like this. It would do both of them no good.

She was happy for now knowing he was helping her with everything.

She remembered that last night when he had said goodbye she had asked him a last question, and the answer to that was something that every time she remembers she had to clench her teeth in sadness and rage.

‘’What is going to happen to your legacy once you reveal the truth?’’ Hyunseung face fell in sadness at this. ‘’If I say the truth, eventually our company will perish. I don’t really care for it, but it’s not really about me. It’s about that thousands of people and their families that worries me… I still don’t know how I will compensate their loss’’

And that was one of the reasons she had stayed wide awake all the night, because she couldn’t help but think in a way that she could help him with those people who would surely suffer from their problems and who were totally innocent to all this mess.

Being in her own mind had help the time to move faster, now she could see the room getting clearer with the sunrays. It was not so prominent yet but looking at the bedside clock, she knew that it was late now.

Now it was the time to return home… she couldn’t escape from the situation anymore. Her father should know of Soojin and their company immediately.

She let go of the strong grip she had on the steering wheel of her car, she didn’t have that much time to act so she had to do everything fast, she had thought of doing it the night before after the conversation with Hyunshik’s son but before everything went down she wanted to see her once last time.

She felt somewhat reassured and calm knowing that she will finally be free of all the errors she had commit in her life, while her daughter was all right then everything will be fine, and she could end everything without regrets…

If it was for her, she could do it.

 Soojin exit her car and enter the house she had been living for the past years decided. She didn’t mind packing any of her stuff, it was not going to be useful anyway. Instead she went straight to do what she had decided.

Even if Hyunseung had good intentions and had tried assuring her, he would cover her back she was no fool. The things she had done were not going to disappear so easily and she would probably end up this way nonetheless.

She open the door of her ‘husband’ room, and was relieve to find the man was awake and reading some book she had no interest in.

‘’You came back’’ he said staring at her through his reading glasses. ‘’Where is Hyuna? Did she come back with you?’’

Soojin felt sorry for the older companion, she had never felt any love for him but he respect the older and felt sorry for what she was about to do.

‘’Since you’re going to know about this soon I will be honest about it from now, that’s the least I can do for you’’ the man let go of his book startled by her tone of voice that was nothing but unpleasant.

‘’I’ve been working for Hyunshik since before I came to this house and we’ve been stealing from you. Honestly you should’ve listen to your daughter from the start, you’ve are not aware of how much fun we’ve been having together since I came here’’ she laughed as if it was some sort of joke and continue. ‘’She would cry so much about everything and you would totally ignore her, but haven’t she grown wonderfully?’’ the man red in the face form anger he rose from his bed fuming and breathing deeply.

‘’You what?’’ he asked once more, she snickered and respond once more.

‘’I said… you’ve been fooled all these years. Unfortunately things didn’t go as we had planned but I at least wanted the satisfaction to see your dumb face when you knew the truth. Congratulations darling’’ she end up in a sweet voice. She knew it was coming but it hurt the same, even more than she had expect, she saw the hand lifting up and slapping her face, she felt the burning and numbness of her skin getting slowly red.

‘’You rotten woman…’’ she tried containing the tears from falling with the hurt she felt in her cheek. ‘’All these years I did nothing but care for you and give you a family and you repay me like that? What had you done to my daughter all these years?’’

‘’Do you really want to know?’’ Hyuna’s father put his hand on his chest and start breathing harder.

In that moment Hyuna came in flustered from what seemed running and pushed her away from her father.

‘’What the hell do you think you’re doing?’’ Hyuna spat angrily. ‘’Appa are you ok? Please relax. GET OUT!!!’’ she yelled at her with a glare.

Security came to see what was all the trouble about and found the confusing situation.

‘’Take that woman away from this room and call the authorities’’ the employers seemed thorn on what to do until Hyuna yelled at them. ‘’DO IT NOW!!’’

It was perfect, she thought. Things had gone better than planned. Now she only had to wait to the final round.

I did well dind’t I?

Hyuna called Mr. Lee and gave him an update of what was happening and hanged up until she was assured everything would be taken care off while she was away.

She hadn’t made sure if the police had come to her home or not because she had to go to the hospital. His father had fainted and was delicate, considering he could have suffered from another , she wanted to stay with her father until she made sure she could leave him alone.

 She needed to talk to Hyunseung but wasn’t sure if she could contact him, who knows what could happen if his father find him at blame of everything.

For now she would ignore that the Jangs had anything to do with this problem and accuse only the ones involved in the stealing of the company, until Hyunseung contact her once more.

She was waiting patiently when the doctor came and allowed her to see her father. She enter the room with a crestfallen face.

‘’I’m sorry you had to know in that manner dad. I really wanted you to know it in a more delicate way.’’ She walked next to him and took his hand.

‘’How long have you known of it?’’ he asked sadly. ‘’Just last night I confirm who were the ones behind everything. But I’ve known of the fraud since a weeks. I just wanted to have proof so you would believe me.’’

‘’That woman was right… I’m not a good father… everything she did to you and I always took you as the liar. I’m so sorry Hyuna, if your mother could see me right now she would be so disappointed, she left me in your care and I just couldn’t get over her death and ignored you completely, even tried to start a life with another woman who…’’ her father covered his face with his hands and sighed tiredly. In a blink of an eye she was hugging him. 

‘’You shouldn’t be sorry dad, you did well all these years, I always felt love by you and I have tried harder to tell you everything I am sorry too. Let’s learn from this and start again please?’’

 He nodded in her embrace and she felt tears falling.

Short because it's the part one of the chapter. 

Next chapter will be a side special of Soojin story that will hopefully help you readers understand what is going on. Then the final chapter and the epilogue. 

Since i have to study for an exam i don't know if i will update soon. Probably next week.
