After days of thinking it through he had find the best way to do things and the first step to take would be this one.

He wait until he was called and went inside.

‘’This is a surprise, I thought you had no modals anymore. It’s been long since you enter my office without banging the door Son’’ his father smile was wide and he had to restrain himself from giving away a face of disgust.

‘’So tell me Hyunseung. What brings you here?’’ Hyunseung bowed his head low, this was it.

Each word felt heavy in his heart and made him feel sick but it had the effect he wanted, after he said that his father was grinning triumphantly.  More than all he needed to gain his trust so he could destroy everything from inside.

‘’What about Kim’s daughter, how do I know you will not turn against me for her sake’’ Hyunseung knew this was coming and even thought it was risky he would be partly honest with his answer.

Anyways, it’s not like my feelings couldn’t change over time, for now I just now she is an interesting companion and a good ’’ he end with a smirk and his answer had his father beaming.

‘’It’s nice to have my son back. However I can’t but feel worried’’ he said standing up from his chair. ‘’To prove myself, I’ll do anything you ask me to’’

‘’Then you’ll be the one leading the buying of stocks of Jaesun Group, you’ll be the one to help me carry their group bankrupt’’

‘’I will’’ he said tonelessly. This was his ultimate chance and he knows too it was a bait from his father to see if he was lying. But the wrong he did he would repay Hyuna double.

He says he’ll do anything he tells him that he will be the one leading the byung of stocks in the name of the company he accepts

‘’You know this is a very inappropriate meeting don’t you Jang Hyunseung?’’ the older woman said sitting gracefully while she drank her coffee.

‘’I had no other choice Miss Par Soojin’’ he sat down across from here and wait for the waitress to delivered his black coffee. Hyuna’s stepmother took another sip of her beverage and calmly continue the talk.

‘’You know you’re being followed right?’’

‘’I am aware’’ he said looking discreetly at his side to see two men in a car out of the coffee establishment. ‘’And I have an alibi as for why I’m meeting you too’’

Soojin smiled at his words in a playful manner. ‘’So why are you going to all these extents to meet me?’’

He drop the formalities and the welcoming tone to a serious one.

‘’I’ll be straightforward with you. I want you to help me bring my father down and save the Kim’s’’ the woman set down her cup and turn it slightly to a side pondering his words before looking seriously at him.

‘’You have guts kid I have to admit it, but you’re also stupid. What make you think I’m not going to tell your daddy about this? I’m a loyal person to him and only work for your father no exceptions.’’

‘’Well, I just made myself an exception, so I want you to listen. You have nothing to lose anyway.’’

‘’Talk then smart boy’’

He stirred his drink and took some of it. ‘’The thing he has you tied with…’’ he waited for her reaction and indeed that brought her total attention.

‘’I have it in my hands. It took me long but I finally manage to retrieve it and there are no other copies, I made sure of that. I also replace the originals just in case there was any suspicions. If you work beside me I will give you your freedom back’’

‘’Is that true?’’ she ask disbelieving.

‘’Yeah. I even have a plan for the safety of your worries; you have nothing to be afraid of. Your daughter will be safe and free from all this.’’ Soojin jaw tensed as her eyes betrayed relief and watered slightly. For the first time since he had known her she looked human not a heartless and calculating person.

‘’The count with me. Tell me what to do and I will’’

Your father wanted that man help too and he given more than he needed. He put the company in sake and lost a lot of money, we were in a dire situation.

They were threatening your father, so he went to ask Mr. Kim for help and he was ignored, that was the day Mrs. Kim died. I don’t know if he has anything to do but from that day onwards he changed. He wanted nothing but revenge against Mr. Kim, eventually he got to pay his debt… I don’t know how but I have the impression he is using the company as a cover for that man crimes.

That was the last thing I knew about his business and also the principal reason I left, he was no more the man I had fell in love with.

I don’t know if this is important but I also found something else about your father, I knew for a long time he was cheating on me, but this girl was different, she was barely a woman, if I had to put an age I would say 15? 16?, her name is Soojin, she was with a baby, a little bundle in her hands. I don’t know if it was your father’s child but I know he had the baby’s paper and power in his most valued belongings.

‘’Do you know of Baek Changwoo?’’ Soojin eyes darken.

‘’I can tell you everything about him but you probably know too don’t you? The mafia is after all a well-known friend of the Jang’s’’

She sat slowly in the bed trying to process everything that Hyunseung had told her.

‘’So in resume you’re trying to say my father and your father had start their companies with the help of mafia money, but your father being in debt with them is probably washing money for them. And Soojin is suddenly a good person tied down to save her daughter that could be your sister? And you were not trying to ruin me but help me save my family?’’

She felt like she lost her breath with all she said. ‘’That’s pretty much it… are you fine?’’ he tried getting closer but she pinned him with a glare.

‘’And you expect me to believe that…’’ his eyes softened and she felt her heart giving a summersault. ‘’I hope so… It’s hard for me also, but I guess there’s nothing that can surprise me anymore from my father, he is very capable of all those things.

What I said and what I am going to say it’s the entire truth. It was my choice to accept my father offer, I wanted to play with you, I was a and a player, that kind of bastard. But if I did all that was because my desire to find my mother was greater, back then I had nothing but her so I didn’t care.

‘’What?’’ he chuckled and she couldn’t help the frown of indignation.

‘’I know it sounds horrible, but because of all that I was able to meet you and fall in love with you and believe me I don’t regret anything but the fact that I didn’t say anything earlier. Guilt was eating me every day but like a coward, I decide to escape and I was wrong. But also because of those mistakes I was able to find my mother and it also made me realize I had find you too…. After all these years…’’

His fond gaze was melting her, she was glad she was sitting because if not her knees would’ve probably given away by now.

And she was definitely not prepared for what he was going to asked her next.

‘’Kim Hyuna… do you remember me?’’ she inhale deeply at the meaning behind those words. He knows me, he remembers.

‘’I don’t know what you’re talking about’’ she tried shrugging the topic off, she wasn’t prepared to affront Hyunseung now, nor her feelings. Not when she was still so confused by everything going on that she just learned because she did believe him, every single word he said she knew was the truth.

‘’You knew right? Why didn’t you tell me…?’’ he asked sadly and she couldn’t help but feel guilty.

‘’It’s okay if you don’t say anything… I just want you to know that I never stop loving you, and the fact that you’re the same little girl that kept falling over her own feet that meant so much for me back then an even now only make me love you more.’’

Hyuna’s eyes start tearing up, it was just not fair that he said this things to her now.

‘’Hyunseung… why do you have to do it so hard for me?’’ he took hold of her hand and gave it a light squeeze.

‘’I’m not begin you to forgive me or to give me a chance. The only thing I want is for you to believe in my words, please. I don’t want to see the rest of things you love being taken away from you. This fraud should not go any longer’’

Even though she knew what he was saying was true she couldn’t help but search his eyes once more.

‘’I believe you’’

‘’Thank you’’ he said letting go of her hand.

‘It’s late. Stay in this room tonight, I will leave before my guard start suspecting’’

I’m soo sleepy… I can’t even, I’ve been trying to write this a/n but my eyes kept on closing so goodnight.. before I delete the story by accident because of falling asleep.
