Again today, she couldn’t fall asleep, she kept tossing and turning around in bed trying to find comfort that never came. She felt so drained, her eyes open looking at the ceiling boringly and she wondered if she will ever feel like herself once again, if she will ever find in herself the joy of living without being reminded of the person that made all the little things special.

And there she was again, the more she tried to not think about him, the more she was reminded, the more she missed him and the more she felt like the biggest idiot on Earth.

She hate this, she hate it so much that the moment she had nothing to busy herself, the moment she was in solitude his presence had to haunt her like a ghost.

 She believe in him, she gave him everything, she trust him, she gave up things for him and the thing that hurt the most was because he had been the most important for her not only know but since what felt like forever.

She got out of bed, it was four in the morning, way too soon to go to the company but what else could she do? She was sure sleep wouldn’t come again and in reality four hours of sleep was a lot if she compare it with other days.

Hyuna took a bath and organized the things she needed to go out with.

Today was another day and she couldn’t help but feel it will not be a good one.

Hyuna run her hands through her hair pausing from what she was doing; her eyes were burning form reading so much papers and her right hand was a little stiff from writing and signing.

Soojin had made sure that she was busy 24/7 since she start working on the company and she couldn’t complain really, the busy schedule kept her mind from things she prefer not remember. It was not precisely, what she wanted to do, but what was she to say?

It had been almost a month since she start her work here and also a month since she ended things with him.

3 weeks and 2 days to be exact. She didn’t know she was counting the days, it just came to her naturally, like reading or writing.

But this was not the moment for that, she couldn’t fall in the eternal circle that was thinking about Hyunseung, she couldn’t allow him to invade her mind so easily.

She read the papers she had in her hand once more, and she couldn’t help but notice something was amiss in them though she couldn’t put her finger on where exactly was that and it didn’t help her that she had no access to all the documents she wanted to.

She sighed for an umpteenth time and put them down, it was ten in the evening meaning there were not so much people in the company at this hours, tired she decided to go home and try to have some rest.

Working since dawn until midnight was something she couldn’t help nowadays but she should stop doing it or at least try harder. It was starting to take a toll on her so much she was considering the option of sleeping medication.

She packed up her things and safeguard the important papers after that, in a folder she carry with her some that she could sign at home.

Tomorrow she will have another hectic day but she find comfort in knowing she had made time to visit her father for about two hours in the evening. He had finally woken up 9 days ago and it had taken such a big weight off her shoulders, at least she knew he was alright, she tried to visit him every day and tend to all his needs but the old man was stubborn as hell and always rushed her out saying his business needed her more than him.

They never again talked about Hyunseung and she was happy about it, at least he had received her with open arms and hadn’t brought up the topic, she dind’t really feel like reminiscing him more than what she did daily.

When he told her about the management, he had refused saying he trusted Soojin more for that, which she didn’t like but couldn’t say anything against it, for now this was the best and least she could do.

As she start walking out of the doors, she saw Mr. Lee, his father secretary, walking towards her with a very worried look. She was surprised because the man always went home soon to spend with his family and it was rare when he stayed this late.

‘’Miss Kim I have very alarming news’’ Hyuna gesture him to accompany her to her office and the man followed suit. ‘’What is it Mr. Lee?’’

‘’Have a look at this Miss Kim, I was doing the monthly revision and stumble with this documents’’ Hyuna read the said documents and stayed in shock.

‘’But... how couldn’t we notice this? What about the income statement?’’ the man frowned. ‘’Mrs. Park won’t let anyone with the information, the most alarming thing is in the last paper, please take a look at it’’

Hyuna did as told and start reading it, she was astonished with the rest of information.

‘’For now Mr. Lee, I want you to stay silent and especially to my father and Park Soojin, I’m afraid she may be behind all this’’ the older looked shock at her with suspicions.

‘’And find the way to obtain all the income statements for the past 2 years, I want the names of the ones managing the countable area and their last years reports too, I myself have found abnormalities in the budget of the incoming projects and I think it has to do with this, I didn’t thought much of it but now I see they were really off.’’

‘’I’ll do my best Miss Kim’’ the man left, leaving her alone in the spacious room.

Hyuna sat in the desk, she was dumbfounded… just how? She didn’t understand how or why but the company was losing too much founds, at the rate it was going it could go bankrupt in a few more months if not treated with care.

The last paper though was more alarming than the couple first, apparently their stocks were being sold little by little for the past weeks and all the shares were sold directly or indirectly to one person.

Jang Hyunseung.   

How could he?!

Wasn’t it sufficient that he stepped on her and broke her apart? And now as if my heart wasn’t enough he tried taken away the little left of her?

She felt dizzy with thoughts, she needed an escape urgently… just for today or she would start going crazy.

She took out her phone and dialed a good friend of hers. ‘’Hey is that party still up?’’

She sighed once more reviewing every single paper before her, it had been really hard to get those papers but finally after almost a week, with hers and Mr. Lee resources they got the hand in the income and financial statements of the company. She was actually revising them carefully and comparing them to all the launched projects of the year and the one she was directing, it was not easy and she had to pull many hours in it.

As expected something was fishy, the numbers didn’t correspond, it was very subtle at first but if you look closely the more you compare the more you saw how they were wasting way more than normal.

It was not was she had expect, it was way worse because it all show that someone was diverting their funds.

She didn’t wasn’t to get into any conclusions, but why does she have this feeling she knew the person behind this?

The only one covering for it was Park Soojin and it only made think worse of her, but she couldn’t say her suspicions; not when there could be more people involved and she was sure there was, or how could it be explained no one ever notice?

Whatever they were doing they’ve being hiding it well, the problem now was how to find the people behind it and get sufficient proof to confront them.

The phone of her office start ringing and she pick it up, taking her eyes off from the documents, it was her secretary, to inform her of the event that was tonight, and to tell her about the dress and the reservation in the salon was ready.

After hanging up she start folding all the documents and guarding them in the safe box, it was 4:30 and her date with the salon was at 5:30. Then she needed to arrive at the hotel and wait for her dress to come.

It was the annual celebration of Jaesun Group, that meant a big party with the most important people in the industry, the shareholders, some investors and of course the competence.

In that list was none else but Jang Hyunshik and his heir Jang Hyunseung.

She didn’t want to attend It but she had to, this time representing her father since he couldn’t attend due to medical orders.

She finished all she needed and call her driver.

It was 7:30 in the evening, she came before the event so she could make sure everything was all right and that it would go smoothly. Sooner than later everybody start appearing and she said her speech, everyone clapped and the party start, she start walking around talking with the people asking them what they thought about the party, how were they and talking about the business in general.

She was now actually talking to one of their most important investors when she saw him walking to their direction.

So he decide to come after all? She couldn’t help the rage that filled her the moment she saw him, but not precisely because of him. No, she was seething because she couldn’t help the way her heart start beating faster at his approach.

‘’Good evening Mr. Choi, would you mind if I steal this young lady from your side?’’ the older laughed and shake his head. ‘’Sure, it think we are done anyway, right Miss Kim?’’ Hyuna smiled and nodded to the older. When he was out of hearing range, she glare at Hyunseung.

‘’You have the nerve to come here’’ she said in a sneer.

‘’Well since I’m now part of the shareholders of this company wouldn’t it be convenient?’’ he said smugly to her and she had to stop herself from slapping him.

‘’You’re a fraud, believe me when I tell you I will make sure to take you out of my family business, I don’t know who else it’s with you but I’ll find them all and soon. Now Mr. Jang I don’t think we have anything else to discuss, as I certainly don’t want to see you anymore’’

Confidently she walked away talking to more people and trying to survive the next hours of hell.

Easier said than done.

It hadn’t even passed an hour when she felt the need had to leave the gathering, she really couldn’t put up with her fake good mood anymore.

She was walking out to take some fresh air and end up in the lobby of the hotel, she stop in her tracks when she saw Hyunseung and Soojin together.

Just what where they doing together?

She tried sneaking nearer to hear what was being said but could barely hear anything.

‘’…like I said before I already have that covered. So will you finally agree?’’

‘’Ok I will comply with what you asked me before. But I have some conditions’’ Now she was more than confused. She didn’t know Hyunseung was in talking terms with the witch, he had even said how he dislike her.

‘’More? I think this is more than enough’’

‘’Well since it’s about the fraud the Kim family is facing I think I can make some more requests…’’ Hyuna covered to contain the gasp of shock.

So she knew? She was behind it and Hyunseung too? She couldn’t hear anything else, shakily she left.

This time she didn’t care, she would go to that woman office and search every croon for the smallest thing she could find.

This chapter is incomplete i really wanted to write everything but i am so busy i just find time to do it last nigh, and i was so tired, i think i lost my sould twice yesterday. 

Making this short i hope you had like this chapter, I know it left you with more questions but i wanted to post something since i have a week without update, i will really try to finish the second part tonight but no promises, since i have to write a lot.

PS: Haye-ah i wanted to tell you that Hyuna has her memories she had them back since Japan it's about somewhere there... sorry i will give you more details tonight but i think you should know. Then i'll give you the chapter O God i really should go ok bye sorry, later ^^
