                  "No way....You're the future beta?!" Luhan couldn't believe what Minji just told him.

They are both sitting down the soft grass of the misty forest.

They decided to rest for awhile after a long run.

"Yup, Jinho backed out a few days ago for some reason so Henry chose me to replace him." Minji said.

Luhan widely smiled "Cool, it means that you get to train with us."

Minji completely forgot about the monthly training of the alliance.

Every month, all of the alphas and betas of the four packs will gather together for training.

It is the best way to enhance the future leaders of the town's packs.

She suddenly felt nervous *So I'll be training with them?! What am I suppose to do?! My training will only start tomorrow and I'll be a complete embarrassment in the alliance training!!*

"You're freaking out aren't you?" Luhan looked completely amused.

"Gosh! I have never officially trained in my whole life! I'll embarrass myself in the alliance training next week." Minji palmed her face.

Luhan chuckled.

"You want me to train you now? I'll tell how the alliance training will go or at least how I encountered it last month." Luhan offered.

Minji's face lightened up with hope.

"Please? I really want to show Henry that I could live up to his expectations. And at the same time I don't want to embarrass myself from my mate who hates me with his entire being." 

"OOoohhh...so that's why you agreed to be beta? To impress Kai?" Luhan teasingly said but a tiny ounce of jealousy could be heard.

"A little....but I also want to help Henry since he looked stressed out from the whole Jinho backing out thing." Minji said.

Luban stood up and patted his pants to get rid of the grass that stuck to his jeans.

"C'mon let's train." Luhan offered his hand to Minji and he helped her to stand up.

"First thing you should know is that the training is divided into three parts. There's speed, strength and wisdom. The speed part of the training will require everyone to run a 40 kilometer distance. It's more of a race actually. Last month, Suho won among the alphas and I won among the betas." Luhan proudly said.

Minji couldn't believe that Luhan is faster than Kai.

"You beated Kai? No way!" Minji said with amaze.

"He was a milli second slower so it gave me an advantage." Luhan said with pride.

"Okay we'll focus first on speed. Let's shift so that we can start." Luhan said as he started to take off his shirt.

Minji blushed after she saw Luhan's body by accident.

Luhan has a well toned body, six pack abs and a pale complexion.

She quickly went behind the bushes to strip because she wasn't confident enough to show her body to Luhan.

After shifting she heard her wolf's joyous howl as if she was able to escape from her cage.

Minji saw Luhan and she can't help but to stare at his wolf figure.

His dominant white fur with silver highlights made him utterly gorgeous.

Luhan felt the same with Minji.

Luhan loves Mirae's silver fur but seeing Minji's pure snowy white fur made his heart stop.

He always knew that Minji looks unbelievably beautiful in her wolf form.

[ You look beautiful Minji ] Luhan's eyes widened after realizing what he just said.

Minji blushed, not expecting those words to come from Luhan.

[Uhm...thanks, you look good too. ] 

[uh...enough of that, let's start. So every month we train ourselves by knowing each other's capabilities through a contest. You already know how the speed contest will be conducted. You have an edge since you're a white wolf. You could be as fast as me or even as fast an alpha. What we need is to develop that potential.]

Minji nodded along.

[See that huge rock? Run back and forth and I will count your time.] 

Luhan used his snout to point at a gigantic rock located downhill and about 2-4 km away.

Minji felt confident since she is very much used to running, especially in a long distance.

[Just a small tip, make sure you breath in a rhythmic manner for you not to get tired so easily. I'm sure that distance won't tire you at all but the training will need you to run a 40 km distance which is 40 times farther than this.]

Minji nodded and prepared herself to run.

[I'll run first and let's compare your time with my time. Count me okay?]

Luhan immedielty ran and Minji felt the air slapping her fur.

It only took Luhan 8 seconds to finish the distance.

Minji's jaw dropped with Luhan's unbelievable speed.

[Don't say my time just yet. We'll say it together.] Luhan said.

Minji prepared to run.

After Luhan said the go signal! she dashed out and ran as fast as she could.

She had always been confident about her speed since running is her hobby.

She finally reached her starting point and she saw Luhan making the most priceless face ever.

Minji grew curious about her time for Luhan to make such face.

[In the count of three you say my time and I'll say yours....1....2....3] Luhan said

[8 seconds!]

[5 seconds!]

Minji gasped after hearing her time...5 seconds!

[No way! no way I'm faster than you?! You're not joking right?] Minji's tail wagged in excitement.

[I'm not joking, it's really 5 seconds. Wow...you're so fast Minji! Even our Luna couldn't run that fast.] Luhan sounded so amazed.

He couldn't help but to feel proud towards Minji.

Minji wagged her tail faster and she kept jumping and howling due to so much happiness.

Luhan felt like smiling and his stomach flipping while seeing Minji looking so happy.

He had been feeling something for Minji for quit a while now.

He likes Minji, but he still doesn't know if it could pass in a romantic way.

Mirae will forever own his heart, that is what he believed in.

He knew that he will never love anyone else besides Mirae, but why is his heart wavering?

Even his wolf feels excited and peaceful when he is around Minji.

It felt like all his troubles are being lifted when Minji is around.

Could it be? That the heart that he once thought will forever be closed, is starting open up to accept love once again? 

                 After MinjI's celebration after knowing that she made an unbelievable record in running, they proceeded to the next test which is strength and wisdom.

Usually these two tests are combined.

The alpha and beta of each team will work together to fight the counter team.

It is a physical contest that would require them to pin their opponent.

Physical strength is need to be able to fight off and pin down the opponent and wisdom is needed to find the appropriate strategy to be able to defeat both opponents.

Team work is highly needed since one can't win alone.

A legit win will only be declared after the alpha and beta of the same team will be able to pin their opponents.

[ For me, this contest will test your skills in the battlefield. Last month, exo k and exo k was declared tie in this contest. The contest ran for 5 hours without anyone being defeated. The best thing to learn is to know your opponents' next move. You can do this by checking out their eyes, their eyeballs will be a total give away. Since you have a remarkable speed, you can easily counter attack them after they made their attacks. This contest highly relies more on wisdom than strength. Know your opponent on the field and you will be able to tackle them even if you are physically weak. A cunning mind is the best during battles.]

Minji was relieved that her lack of physical strength could be aided through strategies.

She wasn't sure if you could classify her as smart.

Her father had always been complimenting her about her wits and smart ideas.

[So...how will we practice?] Minji asked.

[ We will do it using a one on one battle. Try to pin me on the ground and I'll do the same to you. I'll go easy on you... Don't worry.] Luhan teased.

Minji smirked as she felt the strength and excitement moving up her system.

This is the first time she felt so hungry for battles.

[1....2....3!]

Luhan leaped up on the air attempting to land on top of Minji, but she quickly dodged it.

Minji laughed after her success.

Luhan ran towards her and pushed her on the side which caused her to stumble on the ground.

Minji cursed inside her head for missing that next move.

He went on top of her to pin her down, but Minji rolled to the side to avoid him.

Luhan leaped once again, but Minji has another plan.

She leaped up in the air and strongly collided with Luhan.

Luhan attempted to hit Minji on the side to weaken her but Minji quickly bit his right ear which caused Luhan to whimper in pain.

Minji knew that Luhan have sensitive ears so she used it against him.

Luhan strongly landed on the ground and Minji landed in top of him completely pinning him down.

[You should really avoid using obvious moves. It was so obvious that you were taking it easy on me.] Minji said with a frown.

Luhan chuckled [Aw...I got caught. Although that was a great move, even if I didn't go easy on you, you would have defeated me by knowing my weakness. You would make a great beta Minji.]

Luhan's eyes locked onto Minji's and his heart was about to burst out of his chest.

He wished that Minji wouldn't notice how nervous he is.

Minji is also feeling nervous and she could feel sweat building up beneath her white fur.

Both of them shifted back to their human form and their eyes widened after realizing their position.

A Minji is on top of a Luhan.

Luhan couldn't resist, even his wolf felt attracted.

Unconsciously, Luhan leaned forward and locked his lips with Minji's.

Minji's eyes widened and she felt her entire body stiffening.

After a few seconds she closed her eyes and passionately kissed him back.

Luhan s his arms around Minji and he pressed his body closer to hers.

She felt fireworks exploding from her stomach and she grew a little dizzy.

Through this action, Minji and Luhan made an emotional connection with one another.

Minji just broke her emotional connection with Kai and it was transferred to Luhan through a sincere kiss filled with love.

Luhan and Minji broke their kiss and they lovingly stared into each other's eyes.

"I like you Minji....I don't how it is possible but I learned to like you." Luhan softly said.

Minji couldn't believe it, Luhan likes her back.

"I like you too Luhan." Minji whispered.

Luhan smiled and he cupped Minji's cheeks.

"Will you be mine? Let's help each other bring ourselves out of the darkness. Minji, I never thought that my heart will open up again...but you made it possible. Let me be there to protect you and be by your side forever."

Minji couldn't help but tear up.

"Yes, yes I'll be yours." Minji gave a quick peck on Luhan's lips.

They are both enjoying their blissful moments that they didn't notice a person peeking from behind the trees.

He is raging with anger as he felt his chest aching as the emotional bond between his mate is being torn off.

Kai had never kissed anyone with so much love so his bond with his mate remained but seeing Minji kissing someone else with with pure love, his and her emotional bond have been torn off.

Just a few minutes ago he arrived and he could feel the happiness and anxiety that Minji is feeling, but now he can only feel the pain that he is solely feeling.

*The moment I realized that I want to enter my mates' life....is the moment that I lost her.*

Kai fell on the ground and his eyes bursted out with tears.
