Frank: Celine mukhang malaking pagbabago ang mangyayari sa anak natin at wala tayong magagawa kundi ang panoorin na mangyari yun. All we can do is to support her. Balang araw sasabihin niya din sa atin ang dahilan kung bakit niya gusting tanggapin yung offer ng lola niyang pumunta ng California.

As planned, Frank called his mother to inform her about Kim’s decision. She was very happy when she heard the news.

Frank: Ma, pumayag na po si Kim sa plano niyo.

Mamita: Talaga? Mabuti naman kung ganon! Kelan daw niya gusting pumunta dito?

Frank: Ang sabi niya mas maaga mas maganda raw po. Kung maaari nga daw po ay bukas na.

Mamita: Aba! Parang nagmamadali naman ata masyado si Kim. Nung huli naming pag-uusap ayaw na ayaw niya. Ngayon naman parang excited pa.

Frank: Ewan ko nga po diyan sa apo niyo kung bakit biglaan ang gustong pag-alis. Pero wala naman po kaming magawa ni Celine dahil mukhang hindi na mapipigilan si Kim. Ayaw nga rin kaming isama ng mama niya.

Mamita: Ganon ba. Ano kayang nangyari diyan? Pero kung gusto niya na agad umalis ikuha mo na ng ticket para sa isang araw. Para naman may panahon pa siyang magpaalam sa mga kaibigan niya.

Frank: Ayaw nga rin pong ipaalam sa mga kaibigan niya ang pag-alis niya.

Mamita: Aba! Ano bang problema niyang si Kim? Bakit nagkakaganyan ang batang iyan?

Frank: Ayaw nga pong sabihin sa amin. Basta yun daw po ang desisyon niya. Nag-aalala nga po kami ni Celine. Kaya Ma, ikaw na ang bahala sa kanya diyan. Balitaan niyo na lang po kami kung ano mang nangyayari kay Kim.

Mamita: Wag kayong mag-alala, hindi ko pababayaan si Kim. Ako ang bahala sa kanya.

Frank: Sige po ma. Tumawag lang po ako para ipaalam sa inyo.

Mamita: Oh sha sige. Ingat kayo diyan.

And they ended the call.

Frank booked Kim’s flight and went to her room to inform her.

He knocked on the door and after a while Kim opened that door.

Kim: Yes daddy?

Frank: Kim, I just want to tell you that your flight will be on the day after tomorrow. That’s what your lola wanted so that you would have time to say your goodbyes to your friends.

Kim: Dad, I told you. I don’t want to tell them.

Frank: Yun nga din ang sinabi ko sa lola mo pero she insisted.

Kim: Si lola talaga. But I still won’t tell them and that’s final. I’ll just spend tomorrow with you and mama na lang.

Frank: Sige. Bonding tayong tatlo for the last time.

Frank was teary eyed because this is the first time that Kim would be living away from them. She is the princess and the life of the house and when she goes to her lola it would be a big change.

Frank: Princess, do you really need to leave us here?

Kim: Daddy, don’t cry! Maiiyak din ako pag umiyak ka. Wag nga, masyado tayong madrama eh.

Frank laughed at Kim.

Frank: Ito naman. Naglalambing lang ang daddy mo. Syempre matagal ka dun tapos di kami kasama. Mamimiss ko lang ang princess ko.

Frank hugs Kim.

Kim: Mamimiss ko rin po kayo ng sobra sobra.

Frank: Sige na. Mag pahinga ka na at simulan mo na pag-aayos ng gamit mo.

Kim: Sige dad salamat po.

After Frank left, Kim fixed some of her stuff and then looked for her video cam. She decided to make a message for her barkada and her last message for Gerald.

The next day, Kim and her parents including Mamang Pokie went to a resort to spend Kim’s last day in the Philippines.

Celine and Mamang were cooking their food while Frank and Kim were having a father-daughter time walking by the beach.

When the food was finished, Celine called Frank and Kim and they ate and joked around. As they were eating, they were also sharing stories about Kim when she was still a baby, when she began going to school and her epic fail moments.

Kim was getting really embarrassed with the things they were sharing, but it didn’t stop their laughter until Gerald was brought up.

Mamang Pokie: Alala niyo pa ba yung minsang ginising ni Gerald si Kim tapos nakarinig tayo ng sobra lakas na kalabog at nagtakbohan tayo pataas dahil akala natin kung ano na ang nangyari.

Frank: Tanda ko yan. Pag-akyat pa natin naka lock yung pinto ni Kim muntik ko nan gang sirain yung pinto dahil sa sobrang pag-aalala.

Celine: Nag-aalala tayo kay Kim nun pero yun pala kay Gerald tayo dapat nag alala. Binubugbog na pala siya ni Kim.

Frank: Akala daw niya magnanakaw tapos may gagawing masama sa kanya kaya binugbog niya agad. Ito namang si Gerald ni hindi man lang napigilan si Kim sa pagbugbog sa kanya.

Mamang Pokie: Buti na lang hindi masyadong napuruhan si Gerald. Sayang ang gwapong fes!

And everybody bursted out laughing except for Kim. Instead of having fun, when she heard his name her mood changed. She got quiet and stopped eating. This was noticed by the three.

Celine: Anak ayaw mo na?

Instead of answering her Celine’s question she stood up and excused herself.

Kim: Salamat po sa pagkain. Maglalakad lang po ako ng konti, busog na busog po kasi ako.

She left right after saying this.

Kim was walking while staring afar. She was not looking at her way and just kept on walking, because of this she bumped a girl holding a cup of juice which is now on her.

Girl: Damn! Look at what you did! I’m all sticky na tuloy!

Kim was surprised at what happened so she just said sorry but the girl was not backing off.

Kim: Sorry po. Hindi ko po sinasadya. Sorry po talaga.

Girl: May magagawa ba yang sorry mo? Malilinis ba ako ng sorry mo?!

Kim: Sorry po talaga.

Girl: If you’re sorry pay me for my ruined clothes.

Kim: Ahhh… Paano ba yan… Ano po kasi… Wala po akong pera…

Girl: WHAT?! Paano na ngayon ang damit ko?! Magbayad ka!

Kim: hindi ko po kasi nadala yung pera ko. Sorry po talaga.

Girl: So ganon na lang yun? Sorry na lang? Paano na ako?! May party pa akong pupuntahan and look at me! I’m all wet and sticky!

Kim got really annoyed with the girl because she already said sorry but the girl just kept on blabbering about her ruined clothes and the party she is going to.

Girl: Pagtatawanan ako ng mga kaibigan ko pag nakita nilang ganito ang itsura ko! Bwisit kang babae ka!

Finally, Kim snapped at the girl because she got really pissed at the girl’s complaints.

Kim: WILL YOU JUST SHUT UP! WALA AKONG PAKIALAM SA PARTY NA YAN AT LALONG WALA AKONG PAKIALAM SA PESTEND DAMIT MO!

The girl was stunned with Kim’s outburst.

Kim: KUNG MAKAPAG REKLAMO KA PARANG NAPAKALAKI NG PROBLEMA MO! BAKIT? MAMAMATAY KA BA PAG HINDI KA UMATTEND SA LETSENG PARTY NA YAN? PAG PINAGTAWANAN KA BA NG MGA KAIBIGAN MO HINDI MO NA BA SILA MAKAKASAMA ULIT?

Girl: h-hindi nam…

Kim: OH! YUN NAMAN PALA EH! EH BAKIT HINDI MO NA LANG TINANGGAP YUNG SORRY KO! ALAM MO MISS! PASALAMAT KA NGA AT YAN LANG ANG PRINOPROBLEMA MO NGAYON! HINDI KATULAD KO NA BUONG BUHAY KO ANG PRINOPROBLEMA KO! ALAM MO BANG INIWAN KO ANG TAONG PINAKAMAMAHAL KO DAHIL SA KAIBIGAN KO! IIWAN KO ANG MGA TAONG IMPORTANTE SA AKIN PARA LANG MAGING MASAYA YUNG KAIBIGAN KO NA YUN! PATI NA RIN ANG KINAGISNAN KONG BUHAY IIWAN KO! TAPOS IKAW SIMPLENG PARTY LANG NAGWAWALA NA!

The girl got really scared of Kim because of her outburst. She was about to cry and Kim noticed this so she calmed down to apologize.

Kim: Sorry miss. Hindi ko naman gustong takotin ka. Sumobra ka na kasi kaya ganon. Sorry ulit.

Girl: Ah hindi. Okay lang. Sorry din. Sorry.

And then the girl left running.

Kim: KIM! Ano ka ba naman? Pati isang babaeng walang alam sinigawan mo. Arggggg!!!

She just kept on walking until the sun was about to set. She found a spot where there are no people around and sat on the sand. She waited for the sun to set and watched it. Looking at the sea while the sun was setting made her feel relaxed. For the first time since the day Erich told her what she feels for Gerald she let go of everything and just relaxed.

Kim: This is for the best. I’m gonna start a new life in California. I’m gonna leave the Philippines and the problems I have here. I’m going to forget everything. Kaya mo ito Kim! Tomorrow, is the birth of the new Kim.

She closed her eyes and blocked any thoughts and just thought of the sun setting and the sound of the ocean’s waves.
