After Gerald concluded and admitted to himself that he loves Kim, he is asking himself if he would risk their new found closeness and tell Kim how he feels or would he just keep it to himself and cherish every moment he shares with her.

Gerald: (thinking) I love Kim, but does she feel the same? What would her reaction be if I tell her? I can’t bear the thought of not being with her and losing her. I’ll just stick to being her close friend for now and when the right time comes maybe I will be brave enough to tell her. For now, I will just keep on being her friend and love her silently. (sigh)

Days kept on passing by and Gerald was true to his word which is hiding his feelings for Kim. They got closer and they even started their own tradition which is they would eat out every Friday night. It is either with Kim’s barkada or just the two of them. Gerald is also welcomed at Kim’s house. During weekends he would go to Kim’s house and hang out. He would even wake Kim up.

One Saturday.

Gerald rang the doorbell and waited for someone to open the door. Mamang Pokie was the one to answer the door.

Mamang Pokie: Oh Gerald ang gwapong bestfriend ng maganda kong alaga, aga mo na naman ah.

Gerald: Mamang naman e, nakakahiya, di po ako gwapo. (shy) Syempre Mamang mas maaga mas maganda diba.

Mamang Pokie: Hiya hiya ka diyan. Kilala na kita Gerald, gusto mo lang makikain ng almusal. Hala, pumasok ka na doon sa dining andoon na sina Ma’am Celine at Sir Frank.

Gerald: Yan ang gusto ko sayo Mamang e! kilalang kilala mo na ako pagdating sa kainan. Teka, nasaan yung alaga mo? Bakit sila Tito lang at Tita?

Mamang Pokie: Parang hindi mo naman kilala alaga ko e. Ayun, tulog pa.

Gerald was about to go to Kim’s room to wake her up but Mamang stopped him.

Mamang Pokie: Aba! Mamaya mo na gisingin yan, kumain ka muna doon at magpakita ka muna kina sir.

Gerald: (scratching his nape while grinning) Sige na nga Mamang! Basta ako ang gigising ha. Wag mo gigisingin.

Mamang Pokie: Naku, Gerald! Ano na naman ang balak mong gawin para gisingin alaga ko?

Gerald: (evil smile) secret Mamang. Akon a bahala doon. Sige po punta na ako kina tita.

Mamang Pokie was left there wondering what Gerald would do again in order to wake Kim up. Ever since Gerald started going to Kim’s house during weekends and finding out that Kim is still sleeping he started doing crazy things to wake her up like pushing her off her bed, blasting her speakers with metal music, banging pots near her ears, etc.

When Gerald entered the dining area he greeted Celine and Frank.

Gerald: Good morning Tito Tita. (smiling)

He went to Celine to kiss her cheeks.

Celine: Oh Gerald good morning din. Aga mo na naman ah.

Farnk: Good mornig hijo. Para ka naming hindi sanay diyan kay Gerald, siguradong andito yan ng ganito kaaga para makikain. O ano Gerald, tama ba ako? (laughs)

Gerald: (laughs) Kayo talaga tito, kilalang kilala niyo na ako. Saka alam niyo naman pong hindi mabubuo ang weekends ko ng hindi nambubulabog kay Kimmy eh.

Celine: Kumain ka na dito ng magising mo na si Kimmy. Gusto ko na nang Makita ang reaksyon niya pag ginising mo na siya. (smiling and clapping her hands)

Frank: Ikaw talaga honey, para kang bata. Ina k aba talaga ni Kim? Bakit tuwang tuwa ka pang na bwibwisit and anak mo? (laughs)

Gerald: Sige ba tita, hindi ko kayo bibiguin. Tito hayaan niyo nap o si tita, yan lang kaligayahan niya e. (laughs)

Celine: Tumigil nga kayo. Wag niyo akong pagtulungan, si Kim naman ang pagtutulungan natin hindi ako.

Frank: Honey, joke lang naman yun. Wag ka na mag tampo diyan. Nilalambing ka lang naming ni Gerald. Ano nga Gerald?

Gerald: Yes tita, nanlalambing lang kami ni tito.

Gerald finished eating breakfast and told Celine and Frank that he would go up to Kim’s room to wake her up already.

Gerald: tito tita akyat na po ako ha. Gigisingin ko na si Kimmy.

Frank: Sige galingan mo ha. Pero don’t be to brutal ok?

Gerald: Sure tito. Safe sa akin si Kimmy.

Gerald went to Kim’s room. To his surprise the door is locked. Normally Kim leaves the door unlocked. So Gerald thought.

Gerald: Aba, mukhang pinaghandaan na ni Kimmy ang aking pag atake ah. (smiles) Buti na lang napaghandaan ko na din ito.

Gerald gets the keys from his pocket. Good thing he already asked Kim’s parents for a spare key to her room.

As Gerald got inside Kim’s room he saw Kim still deep in her sleep. He got beside Kim’s bed and looked at her sleeping.

Gerald: (low voice while putting away the hair that is covering Kim’s face) Kimmy. Kimmy ko. Ang ganda mo talaga kahit tulog ka, mukha kang inosente pag tulog pero pag gising kala mo kung sinong tigre. Ang tagal na pala nating mag bestfriend. 5 months na tayong mag bestfriend. 5 months ko na ding itinatago ang nararamdaman ko para sayo. Mahal kita Kimmy. Mahal na mahal. Sana maramdaman mo yun. Sana dumating ang araw na masabi ko sayo yun ng gising ka.

Kim moved a little but was still awake. So Gerald got up and started his plan to wake Kim up. He went to Kim’s CR and started the shower. He went back to Kim’s side and slowly lifted her in newlyweds way. Half way through the CR Kim opened her eyes a bit and looked at Gerald but she closed them again. Then Gerald put Kim down right under the spot where the shower is pouring. So Kim gave out a scream.

Kim: (screaming) YAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!! GERALD!!!!

Gerald just stood there watching Kim while laughing so hard.

Kim got up and turned the shower off. After that she faced Gerald:

Kim: What in the world were you thinking! Why did you do that?! Look at me! I’m soaking wet!

Gerald: (still laughing) Why? Don’t you like it? I thought the wet look looks good on you.

Kim: Is that what you think huh?! Okay, I don’t want to be selfish and just be the one looking good. (smiling mischievously)

Gerald: (worried) Why are you smiling like that? What are you planning to do Kim?

Kim was getting near Gerald.

Gerald: Don’t do this Kim! You would regret doing that. Don’t come any nearer. STOP RIGHT THERE!

Kim was about to hug Gerald while dripping wet so Gerald started running away from her and she followed Gerald around trying to hug him. Gerald was trapped in the corner so Kim was able to hug him and get him wet as well.

Gerald: KIMMMMMMMM!!! Look at me! My clothes are wet!

Kim: (laughing and mocking Gerald) Well, I thought the wet look looks good on you so I tried it.

Gerald: Wait! Let me get my phone. We should take a picture.

Kim: Why?

Gerald: I want a souvenir of us looking like this! (smiling)

Gerald and Kim took pictures while they are wet, they took a lot of wacky shots as well.

As they were looking at their pictures.

Gerald: Look at you face! So funny!

Kim: No! look at yours! It is way funnier!

Celine went inside Kim’s room to check on the two and saw them looking at something in Gerald’s phone while still wet.

Celine: What happened to the both of you? Why are you two soaking wet?

Kim: Si Ge kasi ma eh! Dinala ba naman ako sa shower habang tulog ako.

Celine: Eh bakit pati si Gerald ay basa ang damit?

Gerald: Yan po kasing anak niyo tita, niyakap ako e basang basa siya.

Celine: Kayo talagang dalawa kung ano ano ginagawa niyo. Mag bihis na kayo baka mag kasakit kayo niyan e.

KIMERALD: OPO

Celine went out of Kim’s room. The two of them got changed.

Kim: Malliligo na ako ha. Diyan ka na lang magpalit sa labas. Lalaki ka naman e. Kunin mo na lang yung damit mo diyan sa 2^nd drawer.

Yes, Gerald has his own clothes in Kim’s room. This is because sometimes when the two decides to have a movie marathon Gerald tends to fall asleep in the Chiu’s house.

Gerald: Ok, sige pasok ka na. Magbibihis na ako.

After that, they went downstairs so that Kim could eat.

While Kim was eating.

Kim: Hoy Ge! Paano ka nakapasok sa kwarto ko? Ni lock ko yun kagabi ah!

Ge: Secret! Ako pa, magaling ako e.

Kim: Kanino mo nakuha yung susi?

Ge: Secret ko nga sabi yun!

Kim: Kay Mamang noh?! Kay Mama?! Or Kay Daddy? Arggghhh… Sino ba ang alaga at anak nila sa ating dalawa? Ako o ikaw? Bakit ikaw ang kinakampihan nila? (pouts)

Ge: Hay. Tumigil ka nga diyan sa kaka pout mo. Kumain ka na lang diyan. At manonood tayo ng sine.

Kim: Weh?! Libre mo?

Ge: E ano pa nga ba ang bago? Ikaw talaga mukhang libre!

Kim: Che! Basta libre mo sasama ako. (smiling)

Ge: Sige na bilisan mo na diyan.

Kim: Yehey! Love you Ge! Love you so much Bestfriend! (hugs Gerald)
