Chapter 20
(ED. C4) SEIJIRA ACADEMY 세이지라 아카데미I’ve decided to stay in the room again even before the bell signaling it's lunch rang. I just haven’t got the appetite lately. It feels like I’m only forcing myself to even munch something. I know it shouldn’t have been the case, because I’m such a glutton before. Now, I don’t even have the time to think about those changes in me because I easily get tired too.
The room was almost empty except for me Kai, Luhan and Ji Hye. Ji Hye was the first to step out of the room. As soon as she went, Luhan followed, but not before looking at me. Somehow, I got that feeling again, like he wanted to talk or even ask me to lunch like how he used to, but as always, he didn't. He just put his hands on his pockets and immediately left.
From behind, I heard Kai pull his seat backward. He walked slowly to the door then turned his head back a bit to say, “I really prefer to eat alone, but you can come.”
HUH?!
My jaw dropped open. Okay. What just happened? What did he say again? Am I imagining things now too? Probably, afternoon delusions?
Kai must have seen the look on my face because he added, “You don’t want? It’s fine with me.”
“No!” I answered hastily. “I mean, Yes! But I-I’m…I’m just…” I stuttered. Instantly, I felt blood rushing to my cheeks. I wanted to hit my head so hard for shaming myself in front of him.
Kai’s expression changed like he’s weirded out. Noticing that I didn’t move an inch from my own seat, he frowned, and somehow I know that he’s impatient by nature. He strutted back inside the room as I watched him like an ignorant child seeing a clown do magic for the first time. As he stopped in front of me, he grabbed my wrist quickly but gently and said, “You’re taking too much of my time.”
Before I can further react, Kai pulled me out of the room and into the cafeteria. Flushed, confused and shocked, for once I ceased caring about what other people might think. I forgot to notice if there were any gasps and glares from the crowd. All I can think at that moment was Kai’s hand on my wrist and the intensity of power that was surging in them. It was also only then that I noticed how good his side profile looks. His sharp jaw, his alarmed eyes. He was like a statue formed through the use of the golden ratio.
For once, I understood completely why girls like following him around even when he just gives them his cold exterior.
With a good duire and a good face, he could have anything.
Everything and anything, and yet…
Even though I was thinking like that…
In the back of my mind, Luhan’s face was stuck.
I sat on the chair in front of Kai’s table (yeah, it’s
