Chapter 9
(ED. C4) SEIJIRA ACADEMY 세이지라 아카데미Luhan was only able to keep out our classmates who bully me, but not those from the other classes. Further, even those who he was able to stop, only stay away when he is around. I’m grateful really, but I must learn not to rely on him.
Luhan’s other fan girls were more furious than ever, but it's not as if I didn't see it coming. They told me how dare I to make Luhan my knight in shining armor. It was ironic really. Luhan does keep me safe from them but it is exactly because of my association with him that they are mad at me in the first place. Everything he does stirs more trouble.
It was on the third time Luhan was away that I figured I got it for good. As soon as I walked out of the classroom, three girls ganged up on me. Krystal was not there to watch since she’s absent. She was sporting a cold last night, and I’d rather she never know about this. I don’t want her to rat to the faculty, and get both of us in trouble.
So then, after the three girls overpowered me, they pushed me inside the washroom located at the back of the mansion which I’ve learned is rarely used. They locked me up in the middle cubicle. I thought I could easily get out by kicking the door but I’ve soon found out that the other girl was using her duire to keep the door locked up. No way can I do anything about that.
“Hey!" I shouted, knocking the door with my fists. “Let me out!”
Suddenly a garden hose was slid on top of the door. Just when I was about to check it out, a whole lot of water came spraying on my face and I was soon gagging up to breathe.
“How’s that princess?” The girl with the raspy voice sarcastically said. She was obviously the leader of this stunt. “Still going to get close with Luhan oppa?”
“I didn’t do anything!” I defended myself. “He was just trying to help me!”
“So you do admit it!” the girl screamed. “You actually sought his help!”
“YOU DON’T HAVE ANY RIGHT TO!”
Another gush of water came pouring down on me. I was soon crouched down on the space inside. I was barely aware that I was coughing. I enveloped my arms on myself. It was so cold. I was shivering like mad.
Just then, the outpour stopped. I thought it was finally over. Strange it was though, since I can still feel the presence of the girls. What could have made them stop? I looked up and saw something that amazed me despite the cold I am feeling. There was some sort of a transparent barrier on top, taking the perimeter of the whole cubicle which prevented the water from reaching me any further.
“I’m reading,” I heard a guy said calmly. ‘Can’t you find some other place to make noise?”
“Xiumin oppa!" the girl with the raspy voice said. "We were just…we’re—“
“Get out.”
I heard some scrambling and quick scurrying movements, but no words were further uttered. The water that got piled up due to the barrier securing the space I'm in poured itself on the other cubicle. Just when I thought I was left alone, a guy with sharp eyes and thick eyebrows came climbing to my cubicle and landed on the closed bowl.
“You okay?” he asked. The sleeves of his coat was pushed up together with the polo underneath. His hair was messed up, like he was lying around and just woke up.
He reached out his hand to me. I took it and stood up from my position. Then I saw it. Just right there on his left arm, half covered by his polo, was a mark. It was some sort of odd symbol and it was glowing red. Just like the one on Luhan’s collarbone.
“Would you mind?” he was staring at me. “I could use some space.”
I stood aside, He stood up on the bowl and kicked the door real hard that when the door opened, it was barely hanging from its hinges.
He faced me again and said, “You better change clothes.”
