Chapter 13
(ED. C4) SEIJIRA ACADEMY 세이지라 아카데미The wound was almost completely gone when I woke up the next morning. If it wasn't for the faint pinkish line, no one would even realize a knife stuck itself there. So this is the power of the healers, I thought to myself. Really, it’s more that I imagined.
Krsytal came to the infirmary that morning to help me. She rattled and rattled how I always get into trouble every time she’s not around. She then went on to saying that she would like very much to stay with me all the time but she also said that if she does that, she would have to stop her stalking which would kill her in the long run. I laughed. She really is the queen of exaggeration.
Krystal tried her best to support me by the arm and I really appreciated the gesture, but I told her that I can manage. Afterall, it's not like I broke a bone or something to be that incapacitated. She doubted me at first, immediately transforming her eyes into tiny slits, but she let go after a while, and let me carry on all the way to our classroom.
When we arrived, Luhan was already there and a smile just automatically appeared on my face in response to the one already painted on his.
“Hey,” he said his usual greeting.
“Hey,” I said back.
“Your hair…” Luhan frowned lightly and then I felt it again, his duire tucking the thick strand of hair gently at the back of my right ear. I flushed. Somehow, it felt like it was his hand that did that. I looked at him and his angelic smile was back again. “That’s better,” he said.
“I hope you stop doing that,” I frowned at him.
“Why?” Luhan asked innocently. “It’s fun.”
STUPID INSENSITIVE DEER.
The morning passed in a blur. I was completely aware of Luhan doodling on his notebook the whole while. I looked at him and he looked back instantly. I rolled my eyes at him. He’s so childish. I wonder how he kept his grades up while fooling around. Almost all of my grades were already flunking. I thought that part was over when I left my old school. Now, even here in Seijira, I not only am undetermined, I’m also proving myself academically-incapacitated.
Luhan turned his chair to face me as soon as the bell rang.
“Look…” he said. “I asked you yesterday to eat lunch with me but we didn’t make it because of the, well, unfortunate circumstances. How about continuing it today? I don’t mind her royal nuisance being around.”
“I heard that!” Krystal said irritatedly. She quickly produced a bunch of emerald rings in her hand and threw it at Luhan who of course, just intercepted it as simple as if he’s only flicking marbles.
I can’t help but laugh. I wonder when these two will stop bickering. Still, I was happy that Luhan brought it up. Of course, I agreed.
We were about to leave the room when Seo Ji Hye appeared in front of me.
“Can I eat with you guys?” she asked, her black eyes glinting at me.
I looked at her and then a sad thought entered my head. Right, I promised her I would help.
Ji Hye was still looking at me expectantly. Krystal just turned to me for support. I could see she too doesn't know how to react to this sudden request.
“Sure…” I answered softly and then smiled slightly at her.
Luhan was surprised and looked at me like I was kidding. I merely shrugged. Given that look, I can somehow just read his thoughts. Of course, I know that he also thinks something is wrong with Ji Hye but what can I do? Plus, I think he’s al
