I stepped into the house, resembling a drenched cat. Clutching my files close to my chest with one hand and holding a flimsy umbrella in the other, I looked pathetic, to put it simply. Letting out a sigh, I put away my umbrella, the damned thing hadn't done much help sheltering me from the rain. I dumped my files onto my table and tossed my bag onto the floor, hoping that my documents weren't wet. Tears were starting to well up in my eyes, for no darned reason. I couldn't have felt worse. A familiar voice sounded from the kitchen, "You're back so soon?"

 

He emerged from the door, smiling warmly.

 

"I've just finished cooking din-"

 

He stopped short when he took in the sight before him, his eyes were wide and his jaw was hanging.

 

"What hap-"

 

Seeing my crestfallen face, he was rendered unable to complete his sentence.

 

He spread his arms out cautiously, with a worried look in his eyes, offering a hug.

 

I peered up slowly.

 

Thunder broke the uneasy silence, rumbling loudly. The sudden noise made me jump, and I hurried into his arms, burying my head into his chest as I clutched onto his shirt. His arms tightened around me and I felt a warm hand my head.

 

"It'll be fine, remember that every storm will pass."

 

He murmured beside my ear, as if reading my mind, his calm voice putting me at ease.

 

"Thank you, Suho oppa..."

 

I finally mumbled, as he pressed his lips against my temple.
