Mystery Guy in a Fancy Car
I Fell in Love with My Best Friend
“Eli! Stop! That was my school! You just passed it, you retard!” I shrieked in horror as he accidentally sped past my school. There were only ten minutes until the first bell of the day. Somehow, we spent over an hour eating and mourning over my lost friendship and it was already almost eight o’clock.
“Don’t you dare call me a retard! I was the valedictorian of my class okay!” he used his right hand to pinch my cheeks.
“Ow! Okay! Okay! I’m sorry! Mr. Einstein’s reincarnation!” I yelped while swatting his hand away and rubbed my flushed cheek.
“There we go,” he slyly swerved into the driveway of the school and braked right in front of the school building. He flaunted his exceptional driving skills and expensive car, earning excited shrieks and curious glances from every student.
“Show off, like always,” I rolled my eyes as I unbuckled my seatbelt.
“Don’t act like you don’t like it,” he smirked. I didn’t deny that fact - I couldn’t.
He followed me out the car and gathered my belongings from his trunk.
Right after he handed me my bag and books, I sneezed twice. I must had been getting sick since I went into the cold winter air without drying my hair completely this morning. This was not good.
“You dummy, you should be wearing more clothes,” he scolded as he walked back to his trunk.
“Says the one wearing nothing but an expensive Armani suit,” I hissed critically.
“I have a meeting later,” he came back with a thick red knitted scarf. It was the one I personally knitted for him for the first Christmas we spent together. He still had it.
“Why aren’t you wearing a straight coat then? Those are really formal, no?” I looked up mockingly at him.
