No Say
I Fell in Love with My Best Friend
Another week of school passed and overall, classes were going well. To make things even better, I became a lot closer with Luhan and Lay, although I was quite bummed that Kris focused less on me and more on his...well, friends - but I what I really meant to call them was stalkers. I mean, they followed Kris around all day! All day!
Maybe I was just jealous that they spent more time with my best friend than I did. But I shouldn’t have a double standard because I was, indeed, spending more time with Luhan. Our second tutor session consisted less of studying and more of just chatting. We got to know each other a lot better and became closer friends. I guess I was able to make some friends in this foreign country after all! However, we all knew that this country was nothing close to being foreign to me, but a girl can dream, right?
“Good morning class,” Miss Li greeted as she walked in the classroom fifteen minutes before the first class.
“Good morning, Miss Li,” the class chanted.
“So it’s that time of the year again,” she started. What time of the year? What was going on? “We have our yearly fundraising talent show in two weeks and we have to elect a group of students to perform on Class 3-A’s behalf. Any volunteers?”
“Luhan,” I turned around and whispered, “what do you do for the talent shows?”
“Last year, I sang with Lay. People dance and do all kinds of performances,” he explained.
“Oh, that seems fun! Can anyone do it?”
“Yeah, do you want to?”
“Heh, no one would do it with me,” I chuckled, “Oh! You and Lay should do it again this year since I didn’t get to see it last year!”
“Nah, others should have a chance,” he chortled.
