An Invisible Guy
In the Rain, Stars Align"Who did you ask?"
I look back into the shadows but he's already gone
But it doesn't matter, he's already won
The conversation is over and done
"Will you come with me?"
My heart already has a shield
My pulse will not yield
"Probably."
And then it's over like a breeze
Could have I wished time to freeze?
They start naming with faces everyone recognizes
Silly me think they could have guessed
Behind this shimmering facade is a cracked girl
And he is cracked too, his scars in different areas
But scars all the same.
Sparkle is actually 20% light 80% darkness
So it makes more sense that I spend my time in the absence of light
Instead of those "stars" everyone finds desirable
Which are in facts burning balls of gas
I rather not be burned by such hot headed egos
You'll never guess his name
Because he is the undiscovered gem
Unpolished, disguised among the darkness
Of outer space where everything becomes insignificant
Hardened by the realities and pressures of life
And I will hold his hand
