Monster
In the Rain, Stars AlignOne last shriek reaches my ears
Before I leap out of my cage
To hold the girl's neck captive
Shaking her until the noises cease
Now she is completely mute at the sight of me
A joke is an injustice in my eyes
Before long my neck is locked
As I try to pry his grip
My fists that fly at his face are puny,
but my stubbornness has no end.
Her dumb expression and whiny voice scratches the air
Until I had enough and fling away my control
Hoist her up in the air by a hand on
"When I said no, I meant NO!" I roar,
Before sitting up in cold sweat to realize,
That for the first time, the nightmare is not some fear
Programmed into my genes for survival.
The nightmare is me.
