Sometimes I am invisible-

I can do whatever I want and no one notices me within all the light

I become invincible, courageous, full of life-

Since no one is watching.

But sometimes, I'm full of darkness-

I sulk into corners and fill as much as space as I can without venturing out from my niche

I am full of silence, hopelessness, despair-

Since no one is watching.

Sometimes, I give comfort-

My embraces are a soothing balm against burns,

I am loyal, encouraging, loving-

When someone decides to step into my world.

But most of the time-

I am avoided, considered commonplace-

Forgotten.
