Cracking The Window
In the Rain, Stars AlignIt seems that every time I manage to see a window
That someone else has created in my solid bubble
And stares inside, his hand hovering over the handle to open the barrier between us-
*SMASH*
My amused eyes suddenly turn annoyed
You dare to think that you're worthy enough for me?
And slowly the shards pierce his image
As the frame start to melt back into walls underneath my gaze
Why do I become so poisonous?
A simple, innocent, perhaps neglected flower morphs into a vengeful dragon spitting greek fire-
Perhaps my natural reflex is a test.
Only the most worthy of them all would take in the sight without flinching
Extract all of their splinters and patch up the glass
And walk through
Bloodied, but determined enough
To still care.
