I sit quietly reading a book when I notice a group of boys on the field heading in my direction, stopping around 100 meters away from me. One looks over and then nods to his friends, walking over to me. I keep my eyes on my book, uninterested in whatever the boys from my school could want.

"Will you go out with me?" He asks. I look up to him and see its SungJae, one of the guys in my class. I don't hate him, like I do most of the immature boys in my class.

"That's not a very funny joke" I say, looking at him with no expression.

"It's not a joke..." He says. I just look at him. There are boys in my school that find the girls who aren't popular, and tease them about being asked out. I have never been asked out without it being a joke, and I just assume its happening again.

"I think you guys need to learn why people ask others out" I say, standing up and hugging my book to my chest.

"You ask someone out if you like them, not as a joke" I continue, turning from him and walking away. SungJae looks back to his group of friends with a confused expression that I couldn't see. His friends indicated for him to chase me so he did. He ran up to me, even through I was still walking away from the field.
