EARILER IN THE DAY

"________-ah could you do a favour for me?" My Umma asks me and I look to her.

"Of course Umma" I tell her, waiting to know what it was.

"We are going to have a oy staying here tonight because his parents are away. He is a work mates son but I have to go out tonight" My Umma told me.

"And what should I do?"

"Look after him?" My Umma pleads.

"Babysit? Well that's easy enough" I say, smiling at her.

"Thank you _______-ah" My Umma say, before handing me a chocolate bar. I knew there'd be bribery involved.

6:00 AT NIGHT

The weather outside has gotten worse from this morning and a storm is here, the wind and rain smashing against the pavement near the street. The doorbell goes and I run from my room to the door. Umma has already left for the night, and I am guessing this is the boy I was supposed to babysit.

"Annyeong!" I say, smiling at the woman at my door. I let her in and she smiles back and I explain how my Umma had to go out but that I would be at home. She seemed a little hesitant but then decided that we would be fine. She opens the front door.
