When the Korean student my mother told me would be staying with us for the summer stepped into our home, I became instantly aware of his beauty.

As I was introduced, I could barely keep my eyes off of him. "Honey, this is Taemin. He's going to be sharing the upstairs with you, so be sure to treat him kindly."

I nodded slowly, trying not to look shocked at his appearance. He did a 90 degree bow and greeted me enthusiastically, his eyes forming perfect half circles to match his smile.

I gulped. Well, at least he was good eye candy for the summer, even if he would be a hassle to our family.

"Now go take Taemin upstairs and show him his room please," ordered my mother.

And thus it begins, I thought. I wasn't particularly excited about a stranger from a strange country staying in out home, sharing our things, and living with us as family for awhile. But i did as I was told and took him upstairs to show him his room.

"My room is just down the hall." I said once he was situated. "If you need anything.... I guess I'm here."

He smiled and covered his mouth, bowing.
"Thank you." he said quickly.

I turned to leave, saying a mumbled "goodbye", when he reached out and grabbed my arm "Wait!" he said
"Yea?"
"You wouldn't mind...helping me unpack, would you?" I rolled my eyes but then smiled, trying to look like the inviting daughter of his host family as I was supposed to. "Of course." I replied, already starting to resent him.

We started to unpack his things, which were nothing special - mainly just clothes and books. As we did, I made attempts at conversation so he wouldn't think I was an awkward person. "So..what kinds of things are you interested in?"

Immediately, he spoke up, his eyes and face glowing happily. "Dancing!" He giggled, showing his bright smile. "Definitely dancing..."

"Really? Wow, I at dancing." I said, shaking my head.

"Nooo, it's easy. You just go with the music and let your body think for you. It's like expressing your feelings through movement."

I could tell he was serious about dancing from his expression. I sat for a moment, staring at his face, then realized I still hadn't answered. I cleared my throat to speak, when I noticed a shriveled figure in the depths of one of his boxes. "Is this yours?" It was a ratted, torn stuffed rabbit, which appeared to have been through alot.

"Oh!" He took it quickly from my hands and threw it on the bed, covering it with a blanket. "You weren't supposed to see that."

I giggled. Did he really still sleep with that? Aw. How cute.

He came back and sat down again, turning red when I laughed at him. He shyly put his hand over his mouth and laughed. I noticed it as a cute motion he seemed to do often.

After all the oxes were unpacked, I stood up to leave, brushing my jeans off with my hands. "Well it was nice meeting you, and talking to you, I hope you like it here! My rooms just down the hall so see you later. Hope we can become good friends."

Surprisingly, this did not feel like a lie. Though I was still unsure about the whole idea of a stranger living with us, Taemin was cute, and getting to know him was seeming better and better.

Maybe... this summer wouldn't be as bad as I thought.
