day 16

I woke up and my eyes were fuzzy. I blinked and opened my eyes again, seeing only brightness, so my eyes closed again. I felt like I couldn't move my legs.

"she's waking up~" i heard a soft, gentle voice. Taemin.
i tried to say his name but all that came out was "t-t-tae-e"

Soon I could see. I was in a hospital. I became aware of my surroundings and noticed that my parents, Taemin, and 2 nurses were also in the room.

"How are you feeling" asked one of the nurses.

"What happened to me.." I said slowly

The nurse sighed. "Lift up your head, I have a pillow so you can sit up." She stuffed a fat pillow behind my head and I looked at my family. "Mom~" I said

My mother came over to me and took my hands. "How are you feeling?" she said.

I shrugged. "I feel fine, except for my legs...what happened?"
The nurse came over. "Now..this may behard to hear but....when you crashed a boulder rolled from the mountain and hit your legs. If Taemin hadn't been there to remove it, you might still be crushed. Thank God you have a friends like him. Your right leg is broken and your left minorly injured, so we're going o put you in a wheelchair until it heals."

I felt tears coming to my eyes. "Wheel...chair..?" I said, crying.

My mom sat next to me, petting my hair and telling me it was okay. Then she got up and told my father to come with her to get coffee. The nureses also left, and it was just me and Taemin.

"I'm ... so...sooooo sorry" Taemin said, walking toward me.

I shook my head. "It isn't your fault."

"But if I hadn't raced you...then you would be fine. It was my idea anyway."
"No it wasn't, it was mine. Look it's not your fauly." I sniffed.

He took my hands in one of his and rubbed them gently, then taking his other and touching my face. "I'm so sorry." He said, tears in his eyes.

"It's no big deal, really." I said, trying to be strong. A wheelchair? This was going to be torture.

He leaned in and hugged me tight, whispering "i'm just so glad you didn't fall off the cliff. I'm so glad you're okay. I was so worried...and when you didn't wake up..."

I looked into his eyes, at that moment loving him more than I ever had. It was my turn to initiate it, I leaned in and kissed his lips lightly, gently lifting them off quickly for a soft, fast kiss.

He then looked at me, surprised, and firmly kissed me back, full and powerful, taking his hand off mine and putting both his hands on my face, bringing my face closer to his. He closed his eyes and kissed me deeply. This was by far our best kiss.

When he let go , he kept his eyes closed and hugged me tightly again, then rolling onto the bed, next to me. I turned to see him and he smiled a weak smile, kissing me again softly, then closing his eyes. I closed mine too, happy I had him for comfort.

Soon, we were both asleep.
