Chanyeol tightened his grip on Sa Eun’s hand as they reached her front door. He sighed, smiling sweetly as he looked down at his feet, which shuffled back and forth on the pavement. His fingers slowly drew away from hers, and he lifted his head, titling it to the side, his eyes forming perfect crescents that matched his smile. “I don’t want to leave…” he said softly with a chuckle, his face reddening.

Sa Eun bit her lip, her eyes lingering on his before looking way in embarrassment. “Me neither…I had a really nice time with you tonight.” She leaned her head to one side to match him, blinking slowly.

Chanyeol kept his gaze tightly on her, and he took her shoulders with his hands, leaning in to leave a soft kiss on her cheek. Sa Eun widened her eyes, her heart racing. Chanyeol let go, breathing softly as he slowly pulled his face away. “So did I.” he finally replied. After a long pause, he continued. “Sa Eun-ah.”

Sa Eun raised her eyebrows. “Hmm?”

“I really, really like you.” Sa Eun automatically smiled, pressing her palms to her cheeks as she blushed. “And…I think you and I could go very far in the future, if you’ll let us. I am… really glad I have the honor of being called your boyfriend. I hope it continues for many more months and years, until hopefully, you and I can go even further together. I can’t imagine not being with you, and I hope I never have to endure the pain of being away.” He giggled, biting his lip. “Aigoo, I’m so cheesy.”

Sa Eun gulped, her smile fading slightly before she forced it back in place.

“Anyway, thank you so much for tonight. I can’t wait for many more like this.” He leaned in and gave her a small peck on her nose, to which she responded to by squeezing her eyes shut tightly.

When she opened them, Chanyeol had stepped away, slowly descending the steps of her front porch. Her eyelashes fluttered, and she instinctively brought her hand to her nose.

“Bye, sweetie.” Chanyeol said in his overly endearing, charming tone of voice as he sent her a small wave. He winked, then blew her a kiss, his mouth forming a perfect circle.

Late to respond, Sa Eun nodded slowly, then called after him. “Bye…” she did a slight wave, her eyes locked on him.

Chanyeol chuckled, then hurried down the steps, stuffing his hands in his pockets until he reached his car. Sa Eun watched him drive away, and she her lips, clearing . As soon as he was out of sight, she threw open the front door and ran inside, hitting her back against the door as she held her hands to her heart. She shook her head rapidly, breathing deeply. “That’s it.” She concluded, her eyes rolling upward. “I have to break up with him.”
