The Beautiful RunawayI don’t actually like drinking coffee. But the scent of coffee drives me crazy and I give up.
“Chanyeol is here. I saw him while I was shopping,” I mentally groaned when I remember I haven’t brought the jeans.
“He didn’t tell me,” he answered in a monotone.
“He’s with his group—”
“Exo-K?” he cut me off abruptly.
“No,” I shook my head. “He’s workmates and—”
“Chanyeol’s workmates is Exo-K,” Kris smiled.
“He said he’s on a business trip and a modelling project.” I sipped my coffee. “He… congratulated us about the e-engagement.”
“Why do you feel tight about that?”
“About what?”
“The engagement.”
“Am not.” I bluffed. The truth is; I get timid whenever I talk about our engagement. Simply ridiculous.
Kris leaned on his chair when his phone beeped. “Xiumin’s already at the parking lot. He’s got the groceries.”
I sipped the already lukewarm coffee while trying to ignore the amused stare Kris is giving me.

“It will happen in two weeks time,” my mother announced. They were talking about the engagement party and their friends and affiliates that will attend the incoming engagement party. I dreaded to see that one son of my dad’s business party who had a crush on me. Or a socialite bratty girl I knew from one of my mother’s friends.
“Excuse me to ask you this, Mrs. Kwon, but where will the engagement party be held?” Lay asked politely.
