Chapter 33
I lied... I love youThe next morning was abnormally quiet -almost silent- in the Jung mansion. Yunho was still sleeping while Jaejoong already woke up. Jaejoong was going to let Yunho sleep longer after all, he had been through a terribly long night. Jaejoong was surprised he was even functioning himself, after worrying about Yunho and his sons for the past few days.
“Your toast is burning” Yunho suddenly spoke. Jaejoong had been too wrapped up in his thoughts to notice Yunho came into the kitchen.
“Hi Yun. I thought I’m just letting you sleep longer.”
“I can’t really sleep though. There’s so much in my head right now.” Yunho said in a kind of sad mood.
“Yeah I can understand that. Who wouldn't, right? How about a coffee first? Here, I made you this for you. ” Jaejoong passed him a cup of coffee. “The boys are coming down soon."
"Oh yes. I really need it now. Thanks." They glared at each other across the table, and Jaejoong turned away fuming silently. Yunho sighed in frustration.
Jeajoong heard footsteps coming down the stairs. "The boys are coming down. Are you ready, Yun?"
Yunho nodded.
Karam walked into the kitchen first then followed by Changmin. They took their seat in their usual chair.
Breakfast was somewhat quiet and Jaejoong noticed that everyone tried to avoid eye contact with him, even Yunho munching silently on his toast in thought. It was as if everyone was communicating telepathically with each other.
Suddenly Yunho lifted his head and his gaze met with Jaejoong. They stared at each other for a while before Yunho nod once signalling it's time to break the news. Jaejoong didn’t say anything; he just closed his eyes and took deep breaths. He mentally prepared himself for what was to come within the next few minutes.
Yunho cleared his throat. "Karam, Changmin, appa and daddy has something to tell both of you." Yunho said looking at his sons and at Jaejoong. Jaejoong nodded and Yunho stayed silent for a few moments before it was broken.
"Changmin, we have decided that you will be going to stay with your Uncle Yamapi in Tokyo. As for your schooling, you will be transferred there as an exchange student and you will stay there as long as I said so."
Jaejoong stared into his coffee and keeps his face entirely still.
Karam’s jaw fell. He blinked too much, trying to understand it, and finally frowns under the scrutiny. "What?"
Changmin thought he felt a stirring in his gut, the butterflies starting to wake in his belly when he heard his appa's words. His eyes widened in shock. He stood up. Chin trembling, he burst out. "What?!" He was looking straight at his appa now, unwavering. He could feel his mouth dropped open in shock. Everything he had been expecting his appa to say, everything he had been expecting his to tell him, he had never expected that.
"Sit down." Yunho ordered him.
Passively, Changmin sat back in his chair. His eyes glued at his appa's.
"Oh my God. No, no, no." Karam pleaded, to who he didn't know. "Please don't be true."
"I'm sorry." Yunho whispered, clasping his hands tightly in front of him. He gave Changmin a placating look. "But you've heard me. You..."
"Appa, it's enough. Why do you want to force him?" Karam interrupted his appa words.
"I'm the appa here! Stop trying to act like you guys are mature enough to take the decisions on your own!" He scolded his son. He crossed his arms over his chest and huffed. Jaejoong saw a muscle jump in Yunho's jaw but he chose to keep quiet.
"You know what appa?" There's a pregnant pause. "You are the one who can't make correct decisions!" Karam shouted at him.
"Don't you dare to talk back to me!" Yunho warned him. The look on his face looked as if he was about to slap him. He gave a harsh breath through his nose, which wrinkles with dislike when he looked back up at his son.
"Hyung…" Changmin stopped his elder brother. He turned to Jaejoong. "Daddy, please understand us. We love each other. P
