The moment the car stopped, Junsu hopped off from the car and ran towards the hospital entrance. News of Ri In fainted during the fans meeting before the concert starts had spread out very fast that the hospital was filled with fans and reporters. As Junsu stepped in, he was startled to see so many people crowded the main hall of the hospital. Lowered his head, he walked up the long flight of escalator to the emergency room.

“Doctor…” he shrieked. Placing her down on the bed, he intends to step in not until the nurse stop him.

Walking back and forth at the front of the emergency room, the driver walks up to him, “Junsu, have a seat first. She won’t be coming out so soon.”

“Have the doctor reveal the exact reason on why she’s vomiting?” Manager Min paced up to Junsu concernedly.

Shaking his head, Junsu says, “She just entered no long.”

“Junsu, you need to get back to Jamsil Stadium now.” Manager Min demanded. “TVXQ is formed by five and if one is missing…”

“I understood,” Junsu cut her off. “But at least let me stay here until I know she’s fine. I won’t be able to give my best if I’m to leave without knowing her condition.” He said in point of fact as he stares at the curtain of the emergency room Ri In’s in.

Upon seeing the doctor comes out from the ward, Junsu paced up to him, “How is she?”

“Jang Ri In, she’s fine now. She was too frail and during the cleaning and pumping stomach process, she fainted. Anyway, she’ll awake in a short while.” Taking a deep breath as he scans through the report in his held, “We found she’d consumed a big amount of ecstasy pills earlier and that’s the cause of her vomiting foamy liquid.”

“Impossible!” Manager Min was rather taken aback to hear the exact cause. “Ri In, she doesn’t even smoke nor did she like the taste of coffee, how could she take ecstasy pill.”

“Doctor,” LSM came from behind, “please helps me to make a test on this mineral water. I suspect there are ecstasy pills in it.”

“What do you mean? You suspect Ri In would take that too?” Manager Min was furious.

Ignoring their never ending argument, Junsu walked into the emergency ward. Ri In was laid fragilely on the bed. Her face was complete white as if bloodless, hands were ice cold. Rubbing on her palm, he pecked on it.

“Thank god,” he warms her palm by his cheek, “thanks Li Xin for not taking Ri In away.”

“Listen to me,” LSM says, “This water isn’t from the sponsorship and do you still remember Yunho’s incident?” he points out.

“Jang Ri In shi will be transfer to the ward in a short while,” the doctor explains, “will one of you please do the registration for her?” Manager Min immediately follows the doctor.

Placing his hand on Junsu’s shoulder, LSM says, “Junsu, you need to go back. She’s fine now, with me and Manager Min here guarding her, she’s safe.”

-Jamsil Stadium, 2008 Korea-

With the song ‘Let’s Go on a Trip’ ended, it put an end for the 2008 SM TOWN Live in Seoul. On the stage, all the artists involved stood in a row of line give their respectful bow for thanking the audiences coming to this concert. Being the eldest senior in SM, Boa stepped up in explaining and telling the fans on Ri In’s condition.

“I know it disappoint the fans that Ri In finally had made her comeback but have to missed out the chance in performing for you all,” Boa stopped for a while to allow the crew calm the fans down so that her voice is audible. “Do you all still remember the incident of Yunho drinking a cyanide beverage given by the anti fan two years ago? Today that incident happens again. Before the fans meeting begin, Ri In had drunk a beverage that filled with 6 ecstasy pills. However, she’s now fine and will not be able to make any appearance in this mean time.”

Noises, screams and yells filled the stadium. Boa has no choice but to stay silent as even she says a word, it’s inaudible. Tonight, a huge group of Suyin’s fans came. They were aroused by the fact that Ri In was not being protected by security that cause this incident happened.

Yunho stepped up from the line, “As you all know her album will be releasing end of this month, due to this incident, the release of her first Korean album will have to postpone to early September. Nevertheless, please support our poor little dongsaeng. She has put in so much of effort in preparing this album.”

“Thank you very much for coming to SM TOWN LIVE08, we hope to see you again next year, we’re SM Town, thank you…” Kangin said.

“Most probably,” Manager Park guesses, “It’s from the antis…they received news that Junsu kissed Ri In during the MV shooting, and envious drive them nuts.”

“So how is Ri In?” Yoochun concerned.

“She’s fine now,” Manager Park says, “Mr. Lee and Manager Min are accompanying her in this mean time.”

-Seoul Hospital, 2008 Korea-

“How is she?” Junsu walked into the ward.

Mouthing him to speak softly, Manager Min whispered, “She had just fallen asleep. Her voice happened to be rather rasp and pains when she talks.”

Patting on her shoulder he says, “You’ve not take your dinner, aren’t you? I’ll look after her, go have some rest.”

She nodded her head and stepped out the ward. Taking the seat next to her, he picks up her frail and freezing hand. “I’m sorry, all this while I’d bring you nothing but only trouble. From day one encountering you, my feeling for you had developed. It just evolved itself without my control.” Reaching his hand over for a touch on her face, he continues, “I never know my love for you will bring you so much pain. Do you know, after breaking up with you, I’ve always wanted to forget about you, that I used Taeyeon to be a tool in erasing you off my mind. But I never realized, you were engraved in my heart. No matter how hard I tried, you’re unforgettable and always alive in my heart, until this day…it stays the same. You can never disappear…”

His hold on her hand became tighter as a drop of tear made its way down to her arm, “In fact, I never want you to be. Because all these years, there was not a day I’ve not think of you. Do you know how pain my heart was whenever I’m being heartless to you, as if being tortured badly. I love you…even you don’t; I can’t deny that all my life, I will only love Jang Ri In.”

Never did he know the fragile body on the bed; she was only half asleep. It pains her more to know how much he loves her but she can never loves him in return after having a pact with CEO Kim two years ago. Far off them, a girl was leaning against the barrier to her ward. The moment she heard his deepest thought being said out truthfully, she can’t help but to slid squatted down on floor in weep.

“Kim Taeyeon,” Jessica pulled her up, “Didn’t I ask you to throw away the mineral water? Why did you let Ri In drank it? You know it since the beginning that the drink was for you from the antis!”

“Yeah, ever since the day I fallen for Kim Junsu, I’ve turned insane,” she slowly walks away from Jessica. “Pointless. To what I do for him, it’s all useless. The one and only person she love, was only her. Why did I stoop so low in order to get someone who never likes me?” she wobbles in her way towards the exit.

“Taeyeon…” Jessica worries about her.

- Winter, Korea 2008-

Months have past; Ri In’s voice was recovering slowly. During those months, all of the SM crew was anxious about that as with DBSK’s fourth album is to release during fall. And if Ri In unable to release her album a month before DBSK, Junsu will have to go for a huge number of promotional events. However, everything went on smoothly. Ri In opted to force herself releasing her album one month before them without fully recovering. Her first album in Korea resulted good as the sales of her album were unexpectedly better than other top singers in Korea. With the entire albums in Korea still charting, up to November, hers was seeded third with a total of 256 895 copies sold in Korea right behind of DBSK and SG Wannabe.

As for DBSK, with their long waited fourth album released, they set a new record. Their album sold a total of 1, 893 470 copies and it brings them to the top five of the United World Chart. During the time promoting in Ri In’s album, Junsu treated her like his sister. He understands he can no longer let his lingering feeling for her affect them. Just like the past before they became a pair, they always bicker for pointless thing, get into a quarrel for something small. Over the past few months, both of them were able to start their life afresh. See each other nothing more but only good friend. At the end of the year, once again these five boys swept the entire important award in each and every music awards. Despite having DBSK winning awards, Ri In was nominated in the Best Female Singer in MNKF nevertheless, she did not win it.

Regarding the beverage incident, it was left unsaid as no one had turn up to admit and SM has no intention in pursuing it. Feeling guilty for making her suffers so much pain and conceded the fact that Junsu have not love her, Taeyeon did not went after him nor did she remain stubborn in this relationship. Instead she has built a rather good relationship with Ri In. Everyday she would send her lunchbox and even share a friendly conversation. For Taeyeon, she can do nothing else but only this. In the past, it was she that had led the both Junsu and Ri In to separation. No matter how much she wants to patch back for them, it was futile, because the two of them have no intention doing so.

With Christmas around the corner, SM Town Winter album was released and this time’s album acquired the best result compared to the past releases. After filming the MV of the album lead single, they stepped out from the building to see the sky having snow pouring down again. Weather had changed rapidly recently, the snow never want stopping. Everyday in Seoul will snow and it makes the road covered by white snow.

“Let’s have steamboat?” Leeteuk suggested.

“Not a bad idea,” Taeyeon uttered. “We can have steamboat in my uncle’s house.”

“Count us out,” Junsu pointed at s and Ri In. “The six of us are up with other occasion,” a smirk escaped his lips as he said.

Ri In, who is standing behind him, threw a handful of snow on his head, “Since when did we agree in joining the activities you planned!” shoving his shoulder, she said warningly, “Don’t always make decision for us solely by yourself.”

Poking on her forehead, Junsu smirks, “Don’t you remember? You’re destined to be torture by me since day one bumping into me!” seeing her tilting her head shunning from his poke, her attention was off him. An inscrutable smile emerged his face. He brought up his arm and threw a handful snow right on her face. “Pay you back…” he then runs away from her.

“Kim Junsu, you’re doom!” she trots as her legs stuck in the thick snow.

“Omma, I’m back…” Junsu walked into the living room to see his mother playing with Inhwan. “You’re back, good there’s something I wanted to discuss with you.” Mrs. Kim looks up to him. “Mrs. Han wanted to introduce his son’s fiancée to us this weekend.”

“Ri In and Hankyung are engaged?” Junsu mumbled in shocked.

“Ri In and who,” Mrs. Kim frowned looking at Junsu suspiciously.

“No I mean,” Junsu stammers as he was rather fazed by what she had sprung up to him all of the sudden, “Since when did Hankyung engaged?”

“Going to engage soon but she would like to introduce her future daughter in law to us since your dad and his have been friends for decades,” Mrs. Kim explained. “Bring Ri In along…I see you two have been together quite some time, so bring her along.” she said before walked up to her room. All this while, Junsu had been lying to his mother that Ri In was his girlfriend in order to keep her healthier since she sees her as an ideal daughter in law.

“Wait,” Junsu finally back in conscious. “How am I supposed to bring someone else’s fiancée to act as my girlfriend?” he ponders how is he supposed to solve this problem. Aside from that, he felt a tinge of sadness upon hearing Ri In is to engage with Hankyung.

“Hankyung, are you engaging with Ri In?” Junsu took the seats across Hankyung impatiently. “Have you talked to SM? You’ll jeopardize not only SJ but also Ri In’s career. It’s hard for her to make a successful comeback and I won’t let you ruin her just like that!”

Looking up from his schedule, Hankyung stares straight into his eyes, “Who are you to Ri In? Do you think you have right in meddling things regarding her?”

“Are you disclosing this relationship?” Junsu asks firmly. Getting up from his seat, Hankyung ignores him and makes his way towards the doorway. Irked greatly by him, Junsu’s patience on a verge of reaching an end, he grasped on his elbow, “I’m talking to you!”

“She’s not the person I love!” Hankyung swung off his hand.

“Hey guys,” Ri In hopped into the room livelily, noticed the stern face of expression between the both of them, her smile soon faded. “What’s wrong with you two? Speak politely to each other! You’re in the office compound and what if reporters see.”

Grabbing hold of her wrist, Junsu eyed fiercely at Hankyung, “I’ll definitely stop you from hurting her!” he pulled Ri In out from the room with him.

Patting on his arm while walking in a fast pace towards the car park, Ri In used all her might in getting rid of his hand. “Hey what’s wrong with both of you? Hankyung oppa is hurting who that you need behave so badly mannered.” No response from him, she slightly pushes against his chest, “Whey answers me…”

“Because I care for you,” he pushes her leaned against the wall having a very close distant. Resting his head on her shoulder, he whines, “I’m worried you’ll be hurt by someone who doesn’t love you. I want you to be happy.”

Running her hand up and down his back, her voice slightly above a whisper “Junsu…you don’t need to fret anything about me, I’m fine. All of the sudden, what’s there to worry about, don’t be silly.”

Pulling her into his arms, he brings her into his embracement, “Promise to come to me whenever you’re storm by problem. I’ll always be here for you.”

“Yah Kim Junsu, you’re really being very awkward today,” Ri In stammers as she was rather startled by him hugging her so sudden.

Releasing her from his hug, he asks, “My mum is meeting her friend this weekend and her son will be introducing us his fiancée,” stops for a moment, he then continues as she tilted peeking at him. “Is it possible for you to disguise as my fiancée?”

“No way,” Ri In retorted.

Caught hold on her arm, he stops her from walking off him by pulling her back and stands in her approaching way. “Why? Did anyone else ask you out that day?”

“Where on earth will there be people asking me to disguise as his fiancée aside from you?” she flared up childishly. “If I’m to disguise as your fiancée this time, there won’t be any turning back for you. Aunt Kim would really think that I’m her future daughter in law and…”

Before she could continues, she felt his lips pressing on hers. Her eyes goggled in faze, not knowing what should be done and what exactly he’s thinking. Their eyes stare into each others, seeing Inhwan and his mother approaching, he parted from her.

“You…” she glares at him with her pair of fiery eyes. Grabbed hold on her hand, it soon became a clutch as she persist in swinging off his hand. “I understand you’d agreed with me,” Junsu cut her off. “Omma, why are you here?”

“Aunt Kim…” Ri In greeted.

“Son did you proposed her?” Mrs. Kim nudged Junsu.

Nodding his head, he answers, “Yeah, she’ll be coming with us this weekend.”

“Yeah, I will…” Ri In agreed forcefully whilst then shooting defiant glares and elbowed his stomach with all her might.

“OUCH…”

“Son, are you alright?”

Frowning in pain, Junsu says, “Yeah, I’m alright. This is another way of us in strengthening our love,” he held on her hand giving in a wring. Both of their fiery eyes storm each other with glistening glare.

A slap landed on her face. She looks up at Junsu in shock, “What was that for?”

“You know Hyori is his fiancée since the very first day, aren’t you?” Junsu frowned.

“You are right, I know it. In order to be his mistress behind her, I pretended to be her best friend! Is this a satisfied answer for you?!”

“For me, I hated girl who would do anything in order to gain wealth and fame. In the past, I used to have a friend who willing to be with a guy just to get what she desires. And after she gotten what she craved, she dumped this guy. Recently, I found out she became someone’s mistress as that guy have a fiancée for wealth.”

“Let’s change to the type of guy I really detest of. I hated the type who says how much he loves this girl. Then when this girl say break up, turn around, he found someone else and say this girl is the one he consider as his love of life. Junsu, don’t you agree with me?”

“She was the one who said she’d not love me and just used me in order to gain popularity. Do you expect me to stay single since she was the one betrayed me!”

“I can no longer endure seeing him misunderstands Ri In. She had sacrificed too much…”
