"Hyung!!!! Hyungggggggggg~" a high-pitched male voice suddenly invaded Jiyong's dreams.

"Shut up!" He thought and swatted the image of his younger brother calling for help. He needed no help. He was in the arms of his Chae Rin. Jiyong chuckled in his dream as he sat down on a randomly placed beach chair. He laid his back to it, the sun warm against his skin, while he enjoyed the view.

Punch to the stomach! Ouch, that must have hurt. 

A poke back to the side of the girl... Yes! You go, Seung Ri!! Woah. Nope, now you've done it. 

And, like the first hundred times Jiyong had seen it unfold, he watched as Chae Rin froze.... Slowly straightening up herself as she pushed back the sleeves of her sweater to reveal her forearms. His eyes paneled to the other side of the fight and saw his brother frozen in fear, stuttering words.

"P-p-please don't kill me!!"

Only a harsh snarl answered the boy on the ground and Jiyong, now slurping a slushy in his dream, moved to the edge of his seat as the final motions of the match started, the result already set to stone.

Thud. Thud. 

"Ouch!"

"Shut up!"

"You shut up! Its MY house, MY hyung!"

"Well, it was MY bacon that YOU ate this morning. Bacon trumps everything."

"Point taken... Wait- I meant, no!!"

A set of not-so-hushed voices could be heard a few feet from the door and Jiyong, his eyes now opened savored the seconds of silence that it took for his brother and his best friend to observe whether he was awake or not. 

Ah, but that was a good dream, though, he thought, silently chuckling to himself. Pulling up the sheets to cover his face, Jiyong's ears pricked to listen to the two. He knew they loved to play ninjas... And if he was the same age, he would have adored joining them. Regardless, it was extremely amusing to watch the two struggle against each other every day.

Jiyong held his breath when the kids slowly opened the door to his room, each step creating a creek on the wooden floor. 

"Shut up!" Chae Rin whispered again to Seunghyun.

"But I wasn't doing anything!" The whine of his brother was so loud, it could probably have been heard from the adjacent room. 

“Yes you were! You were breathing!" Chae Rin snapped, a set of footsteps now making their way to the direction of Jiyong's work desk. It took every ounce of Jiyong's willpower to not burst out laughing from her comeback, and successfully, he held it in, a few fingers clutching against the fabric of his blanket just a little too tightly. 

And this is why they're bestfriends, Jiyong thought, smiling to himself. Even when they were all kids, the two were inseparable, especially after the 'ahjussi baby' incident where he and Chae Rin turned his baby brother into an old man in diapers. He was 5 then, and she just turned 2. 

Even if he hated being awoken from his naps after school, he couldn’t exactly complain about this one.

"So there's something wrong with me breathing now?" Seunghyun spat, his tone carrying fake hurt as he glanced at his friend. "Though that was a great comeback. Mind if I use it?" 

“Knock yourself out,” she mumbled, turning in her oppa’s notes, looking for any sort of clue as to what he would want for his birthday... Maybe it would have been better to ask Jaebeom... Though she hated the guy, he was the only one who could probably understand Jiyong. “But hey, be nice to Jaebeom, okay?”

“Yah!” Seunghyun snapped, crossing his arms as he looked at his chubby bestfriend who was busy snooping around his hyung’s belongings. Letting and following her into his hyung’s room was one thing but being nice to the guy who made sure that Seunghyun’s life was miserable every single day? No. Hell no. “Why would I? He’s a dunce!”

“A kingka dunce.”

“So?! It doesn’t change the fact that he’s full of crap. And he’s mean!”

“To you!”

“Psh..” he huffed and puffed, his heartbeat already racing from anger before plopping to his hyung’s bed. “Hyunggggg~~ Your future wife is being meaaaan to me!” He said while shaking his head hyung. Yet as much as Chae Rin wanted to hit him at that moment, Seunghyun knew exactly what type of words would make her melt.

With her cheeks flustered in pink, she tried to duck underneath the bed before Jiyong turned around to look at her, but failed. She was now flat on her stomach after tripping on a shirt on the floor, her chin hitting the wood, making her whimper in pain.

“Are you okay?!” That voice.. oh, that beautiful voice asked her with such concern, she had to close her eyes and savor the moment. ”Chae? Hunchae?”

Quickly, Jiyong moved from his bed, pushing his brother slightly to the side to get to her and pull her off to her feet, dusting her clothes. “I’m so sorry... I haven’t cleaned my room yet..” With a frown on his face, he looked at her with concern, his eyebrows furrowing. For some reason, he couldn’t help but be worried with her. The two.. they would play so roughly that everyone got used to it, but regardless, she was still girl. Someone who was like his own little sister.

“Aish.. You’re just going to make her fall in love with you more, hyung! And then what will happen to me? That idiot Jaebeom would bug me more and my life would get even more hellish by the day. Stop itttttt!” Jiyong watched as his thirteen year old brother pulled at his arm,  trying to pry him away from Chae Rin, which only made Jiyong hold onto her arm and flick her brother’s forehead.

Oh? So there’s finally a rival for little Seungri, huh? he thought, amused by the situation before turning his head to the blushing teenager by his side. “Yahh... Hunchae-ah.. Oppa is sad. How can there be a replacement for me already, hmm? You’re not even in high school yet and there’s someone already? Have you forgotten oppa? But oppa hasn't forgotten his Hunchae!!!” Jiyong said, with a small pout upon his lips, sending the poor girl into a state of shock as she shook her head, hair messy. Along with those puppy eyes that Jiyong couldn’t help but fail to resist, he hugged her tightly, squeezing her in his arms while his brother made a face at the two, already mentally preparing himself for the amount of screaming Chae Rin would be doing for the next few weeks.

This was simple. This was bliss. A kid’s crush..

Ah, but why couldn’t kids stay as kids forever?

Hey guys <3 i'm back. especially since its summer. Im out most of the time but im forcing myself to sit my down and write <3 i know this isnt as comedic as the other chapters (well, i hope it is. or you find it to be) but it is jiyong. the comedy is with chae and seungri <3 Hope you liked the update and there will be more.
