CHAERAE P.O.V. (YOU)

 

I groaned when the sound of my alarm woke me from my dreamland. I was still experiencing jet-lag and I really didn't want to get up. I angrily hit the power button on my phone, temporarily silencing my alarm. I slowly dragged myself from my bed and to my bathroom. I washed my face and brushed my teeth before lethargically changing into my uniform. 

 

"Come on Chaerae! It's the second day! Fighting!!" I gave myself a short pep talk before leaving the dorms. Today would be a good day! 

 

CHANYEOL P.O.V.

 

I did and didn't want to see her today. I longed to be with her but I was still embarrassed. I tiptoed around the corner to get inside the building where our first class was. I sighed and took a deep breath. I had to face her. 

 

"Yah! Yeol!" D.O snuck up behind me and hit my back. I groaned at the pain of his large hand and then forced a smile. 

 

"Yah! That hurts! What's wrong with you!?" I scowled at him and crossed my arms. 

 

"I was just gonna ask you if you'd seen that cute girl from yesterday? I wanted to invite her to my party." My eye twitched an I knocked him into the wall, my arm at his neck. 

 

"Don't touch her." I growled at him, his eyes growing wider than what they usually were. "Don't talk to her. Don't speak of her. Don't even think of doing anything to her!" 

 

CHAERAE P. O. V. (YOU)

 

"Don't touch her. Don't talk to her. Don't speak of her. Don't even think of doing anything to her!" I stopped in my tracks and observed the scene before me. Chanyeol was pressing D.O up against the wall next to our classroom. His eyes were wider than what was the usual from the panda-eyed boy. 

 

"Chan...yeol?" His name escaped my lips without my knowledge. His yes met mine in a millisecond and he dropped D.O. He seemed to want to tell me something but no words met my ears. His eyes pleaded with me. 

 

"It's fine. I'm going. I won't do anything Yeollie. I'm sorry. See in class Chaerae-ssi." D.O left me and Chanyeol alone and seemed rather confused. I was too. Who was Chanyeol talking about? A girl? Does he have a girlfriend? Is that why he's been avoiding me? I didn't stay to ask nor for him to speak. I opened the classroom door and stepped inside.

 

"Wait!" He reached towards me. I jerked away. 

 

"I get it. You have someone. I won't bother you. Lets just act like nothing happened ok? Lets just be friends." He looked confused. Might as well make it easier on him. "I have someone I like. So you don't have to feel obligated towards me." I walked to my seat fighting back tears. I really didn't want him to have a girlfriend. But it seems that was how it was.  

 

I sat quietly and started copying notes off the board as everyone filed into the classroom. Chanyeol was still standing by the door when the bell rang and the teacher told him to get to his seat. He slowly made his way to my side and plopped down into the chair. I averted his gaze and turned your attention solely on the teacher. 

 

I told myself to lay low while working my way up. I wasn't about to ruin my dreams over a boy. Especially a cheater. 

 

CHANYEOL P.O.V.

 

Girlfriend? I didn't have a girlfriend. Not for a long time anyway. Did she think I was talking about another girl in the hallway? She must have. It's a misunderstanding Chaerae! I watched her write notes and doodle in the margins of her notebook. She averted my gaze the entire period.  

 

When the bell rang she was scrambling to pack her things up. In her haste she left behind he flute case. I sighed and picked it up as she sprinted out the door.

She was already changed and was warming up, panic on her face. Baekhyun was asking her what was wrong but she avoided his questions saying she was only tired. Still experiencing jet-lag. 

 

When her eyes landed on me she blushed slightly and looked at her feet. I forced a smile and walked up to her. I didn't want the others to know anything. Not yet. 

 

"Chaerae. You left your flute in our last class. Here. You must've been worried sick." She slowly grabbed the case, careful to avoid my touch.

 

"Kamsahamnida Chanyeol sunbae." She bowed and walked back to the dressing rooms. 

 

"Sunbae? You two are the same year? What's going on Yeollie?" Baekhyun observed me with caring eyes. I couldn't lie to him anymore. 

 

"Later. We have class right now hyung." I made my way to the boys changing rooms and lethargically changed. When I came out Kyungsoo-ssi was already talking. 

 

"You guys know we're having a talent show contest right? Well I want you guys to get into small groups and perform something. You can't not enter, Kai." He glared at Kai. "Now, I know you EXO boys are real close but you'll be collaborating with a lot of different people so you guys can't get together. However, you may get into small groups of no more than three if that is really what you want. But it'd be nice if you'd pair up with new people or just people you haven't talked to. I made a list of suggested groups that you can go by, but its not set in stone. That's all for that. Now. Couple dances. Rare unless you're going solo or you have a features song. But couple dancing is used a lot and with the right people can create the right atmosphere..." 

 

Couples dancing? Pair up? What? My mind was scrambling. He'd never had us do this before. What's up with this? And what if I end up getting paired with Chaerae-ssi? She hates me. 

 

"Chanyeol. Would you demonstrate for us?" Kyungsoo looked at me. 

 

"I'm sorry?" I gave him an apologetic smile. 

 

"Show us how you duet in your rap song. Would you like a partner? Chaerae-ssi. "

 

Her wide brown eyes flashed over me and then at Kyungsoo. "M-me?" She blushed slightly. "But I don't know how. Chanyeol-ssi probably has a routine he does. I'd get in the way." She shuffled her feet and lowered her gaze. Why was she being so damn cute!? 

 

"We can do something you know." I said the words without thinking. I just wanted her to stop feeling so uncomfortable. Her eyes shot up to mine pleading with me to shut up. She was full of fear. Was it of me? 

 

"Great! See! Compromise! What would you like to do Chaerae-ssi?" Kyungsoo smiled at her with encouragement. 

 

"I... I know some girl band stuff... I know SHINee's Sherlock... And I know Trouble maker. " 

 

"I can do Trouble Maker!" Again I spoke without realising. Her face blushed brightly. 

 

"Ok! Do that then. Everyone move out of the way. Music!" Kyungsoo seemed impressed. 

 

I moved onto centre stage waiting for her to follow. She slowly made her way to the centre and paused when she came within inches of me. She seemed not to know I it was safe or not. Why did she have to think I had a girlfriend...

 

 

"Alright. Go." The music started and her demeanour almost instantly changed. Her body seemed to loosen up and she even smiled. I was engrossed in her reaction I almost missed my que. She began to whistle the signature tune and turned toward me, stretching like a feline. I felt my whole body instantly flare up. She paced around me, looking up and down with a sly smile. 

 

CHAERAE P.O.V. (YOU)

 

At this moment the only thing I had on my mind was the dance. Ok I lied. Chanyeol was my partner. How could I not think about him. His strong long arms and the muscles even in his neck as he sang a lower version of the song, complementing my high voice in such a way that I never thought was even possible. 

 

We twined together and moved in perfect harmony, our voices mixing, my rap flowing perfectly. And every spot he touched on my body sent electricity into my body just like the kiss the day before. The kiss. At that moment Chanyeol's face was so close, my head moving close to his. I snapped my head away quickly, like the dance and also of my own embarrassment. 

 

We continued the dance until the end, and again, just like the dance I pressed my body against his and met his lips in yet another electrifying kiss. His arms wrapped around my body, his lips responding to mine. All other sounds were canceled out so I never heard the applause.
