CHAERAE P.O.V.

I grinned from the crowd as I watched them receive their third award this week. It was exhilarating to see them smiling and close to tears as they made their final speeches. I cheered along with the fans and cried for them as they cheered and jumped up and down. At least Chanyeol was jumping up and down like a little kid. I laughed at his adorable behavior and cheered his name, turning on my fangirl mode. AS their song began playing for their encore, Chanyeol met my eyes and he cheered, sending me a wink. I blushed and cheered.

It's been almost four months since Chanyeol and I got back together. Kai got over everything and Eunbyul was drooling all over him. Although Sehun and Luhan were so in love, Allany had somehow stolen Sehun from Luhan. Baekhyun and Jueun finally told us they decided to start their relationship officially. Now the only problem was telling our managers and our agency. Though Kim YoungMin, our CEO, is very nice and understanding I wasn't so sure that he would accept the fact that we were technically breaking our contracts. I sighed silently as I wrapped my wrist in its carpal tunnel brace before practice. Jueun seemed to notice and gave me a questioning look. I mouthed "later" to her and she nodded. We went through new and old choreography before being allowed to leave. When all of us were back in our dorms, lounging around, Jueun found me in the practice rooms playing my flute.

"What's wrong?" She sat cross-legged in front of me and raised one brow. I sighed and set my flute in its stand.

"We're technically breaking our contracts, Jueun-ah. We are not supposed to be dating. Hasn't that crossed your mind recently?" I eyed her as her eyes registered her thoughts. She knew that I was right. She knew that what we had been up to was definitely a violation of the contract and would make all the time and effort that we put into our careers a total waste. Although I was more than just happy that we had all finally found the person we loved and that everyone was happy, reality had to set in sooner or later.

“I never… I never really thought about it. Should we tell Minjoo oennie?” She seemed a bit sad at the fact that what we had come to might end badly. I don’t think that Chanyeol and I can take another hard blow from people outside of our situation. I wasn’t even sure that I wanted anyone to know about this relationship aside from the people in my close circle. As it is, it was a huge hassle while we were in school. And now that both of our groups had gotten a huge hit of popularity, especially EXO and their fans, it was going to become almost impossible for us to live normally. I sighed and looked at her.

“Won’t we have to? I am sure she has an idea that we are dating them, but it’s better to tell her anyway. She can help us figure out what to do.” She nodded and stood, motioning for me to get to bed soon. I nodded and looked to my flute once more. “Give me thirty minutes. I need to practice.” She nodded and left the room. After I finished practicing to my desire, I put my flute away and slowly made my way to my room. Just before I got inside, my phone rang. Chanyeol.

“Yoboseyo?”

“Chaerae-ah~ Are you not asleep yet? I was expecting to just leave a voicemail.” His voice made me smile. I could tell that he was tired from his schedules. They had been on a lot of shows either prerecording or performing live. Not to mention some of the recent photoshoots that they had to do recently.

“Ani… I was practicing until right now. Why aren’t you asleep?” I walked to the kitchen as I spoke to him, realizing that my lips and throat were dry from practicing for so long.

“Ah~ I just got to the dorms. But I realized I hadn’t called you all day long. How was your day, jagi?” I smiled again and leaned against the kitchen counter.

“The usual. We are almost done with the new choreography. We’re going to have a new single released in a few months.” I sipped the water I pulled from the fridge.

‘You’re already a small comeback? Lucky. We had to do MAMA for more than a year.” I could hear him putting through his voice. I chuckled at his behavior.

“Yah... I loved MAMA. I still do. So shut up. It’s just a single.” I heard him chuckle and smiled a bit. He yawned but tried to cover it up with a “yah~” I frowned and tsked a few times at him. “Yah, Babo-yeol. Get some sleep. I’ll see you in a few days. Sleep well.”

“Fine… I love you.” He made a cheesy mwah~ sound to which I giggled.

“I love you, too!~” I mimicked him with a cheesy mwah~ and he chuckled before hanging up. I sighed to myself, finished my water, and went to sleep.

Super short update, Mianhey~ I had band camp for three days this week and I had literally NO TIME to write anything at all. I decided to give you this much instead of a huge chapter that would probably take me a few days to type out and review.
