PJ's POV

"So what was up with you earlier?"I asked Miyeon as we sat together on the rooftop, skipping classes.

"Do you not know him?"She asked looking at me as if I was the most unbelievable thing she has ever seen.

"Was I supposed to?"I asked confused.

"Dude! Hyesu unnie! She's your cousin!"She said and I stared at her before laughing.

"Yo- You're telling me th-that Hyesu unnie is my cousin?!"I asked through my laughter.

"Don't laugh! I'm serious here!"She said slapping my shoulder.

"Well, how did you expect me to react after telling me that Hyesu unnie is my cousin? And besides, you've been here for more than a month now, and you've just figured that out?"I asked still amused.

"It wasn't her that I recognized actually."She said so seriously that it made me look at her and focus on what she's saying. "It was your uncle, uncle Jerry."She said and it confused me.

"Who is that?"I asked.

"Hyesu unnie's father. The one we met earlier?"She said confusing me even more. 

"Wait, didn't he say that his name was Ahn Dong-Bin?"I asked trying to make sense of what she's saying.

"That is what's confusing me, I am more than certain that he is uncle Jerry."She said sounding frustrated.

"Okay, let's say that he really is my uncle. Why would he hide that from me?"I asked still trying to figure things out.

"That's what I'm curious about. It was obvious that he was hiding it when he indirectly said that he's not fluent in English."She said wearily.

"Are you sure? Maybe he just looks like him or something?"I said finding her words just plainly unbelievable.

"I can't be wrong. I can remember your uncle. He used to live in your grandfather's house. The one we used to visit in L.A"She said looking at me frowning.

"In L.A? You mean in Calabasas?"I asked, unsure.

"Yes! You remember where it is?!"She asked excitedly.

"Vaguely."I answered with a little smile, while hoping to find out more about my past.

"Well at least you're starting to remember."She said smiling at me, finally looking calm.

"Yeah, but I'm quite scared to remember."I said honestly while looking up at the sky above us.

"Why would you be scared? What's there to be scared of the past?"She asked taking my hand in hers making me look at her.

"I mean, it makes sense don't you think?"I started and she looked at me confusion written on her beautiful face before squeezing my hand urging me to continue. "There's a reason, a reason that will change everything for me, a reason why I can't seem to remember my past. There's something I'm scared of from the past that's why I unconsciously don't want to remember it?"I asked and she only stared at me biting her bottom lip looking like she's looking pass me and thinking about something.

Is there really a reason why?

Sunny's POV

"Do you think that it's best to let PJ continue studying in that school?"Jessica asked her body resting against Yuri's as they sit on the couch.

"We don't really have a better choice, so it doesn't really matter."Taeyeon said emotionless.

"I'm scared, honestly."Hyoyeon said looking up with genuine fear in her eyes.

"We all are, but we need to be strong, for PJ."Sooyoung said firmly.

"Yeah, we need to protect PJ right? I mean, we can't loose her."Said Yoona then I realized something.

"There will be a time that we're going to have to let her go Yoong."I said and they all turned to me, frowning. "The contract of us being PJ's guardian is only valid for a year. After that, we're going to have to give her back."I said looking at them sadly.

"We're not."Taeyeon said firmly.

"What do you mean?"I asked confused.

"We'll take full responsibility of her when that day comes."She replied giving us a small smile.

"And how do you plan that?"Sooyoung asked.

"It's not important now, but you'll see."She said confidently.

Yuri was about to say something when the doorbell rang.

"I'll get it!"Yoona volunteered before hurrying towards the door.

Yoona walked back in the living room with 3 men in suits following her. One of them looks familiar.

"Mr.Paul?"Yuri asked standing up from her seat on the couch.

"Good day to you girls."He said smiling at us, the two men wearing suits under large coats behind him are both emotionless and one of them is carrying an attaché case.

""Good to see you sir. Please don't misunderstood, but what are you doing here?"Sooyoung asked and looking back at us confused with the sudden visit.

"Well I was hoping I could talk to you?"He asked still smiling.

"Uh sure thing sir. Please sit down."Tiffany said and Jessica stood up from the couch and let Mr. Paul sit on it alone with the two suited men standing behind the couch. Then Yuri and Taeyeon sat on the two armchair seats on either sides of the couch while the rest of us remained standing.

"Do you want anything to drink Mr.Paul?"Seohyun asked politely.

"Tea would do dear."He said and Seohyun before leaving and Yoona followed her to the kitchen.

"What can we help you with sir?"Yuri asked calmly.

"I have some papers with me."He said before the man hands him the case.

"For what?"Hyoyeon asked anxiously.

"PJ's custody."He said and took out some papers along with a CD.

"Why?"Jessica asked walking towards Yuri and putting a hand on her shoulder.

"I want to make you an offer."He started leaning forward. "I want to be PJ's legal guardian."He said leaning back on the sofa and crossing his legs.

"What?"Yuri Sooyoung asked frowning.

"You can't just do that."Taeyeon said and Seohyun and and Yoona walked back in with drinks and placed them on the table and I saw Seohyun frowned. 

"Why do you have papers like these sir?"She asked standing up straight and looking around for answer while Yoona remained standing.

"Actually I can Ms.Kim. Because no matter what you say, I am a biological relative of PJ and you're not."He said confidently.

"So, we still have the rights over PJ because we are still her legal guardian unless we decided to give her to someone else."Yuri said mockingly.

"Ah, of course Ms.Kwon. That's why I wanted to make an offer."He said smiling and when no one say anything her cntinued. "Do you mind playing this?"He said handing the CD to me and I looked around and saw Tiffany nodded for me to take the CD. 

I took it and put it in the player by the TV set and played it. I moved away from the TV to let everyone see the screen. The thing started playing and I saw 2 familiar girls sitting by the shore. 

"What is this?!"Hyoyeon asked angrily. 

Then we all gasped as the two girls moved closer towards each other and sealed their lips together in a passionate kiss. 

"Nicole."Hyoyeon mumbled. 

Then the scene changes and this time it was in a familiar room where PJ was confined before. PJ and Seohyun are sleeping on the bed while Tiffany is sitting on Taeyeon on the chair beside the bed. Just like the first one the two girls also leaned in and kissed each other. 

It kept playing and the last one was a video of Seohyun and Yoona in the practice room in SM kissing, leaving the two young girls shocked knowing they were caught.

"You've been stalking us!"Sooyoung yelled charging towards Mr.Paul but Hyoyeon held her back as the two men behind him reached inside their coats.

"Not me, but some of my people are."He said smirking. "Now what do you say?"He asked and everyone remained silence till Yoona spoke up.

"You're not taking PJ away from us. You can show that to the world but PJ will stay here with us."She said determinedly and we all stared at her shocked.

"I don't have to show it to the world to be able to take PJ away form you."He said chuckling mockingly. 

"PJ's staying with us!"Yoona yelled and Jessica held onto her while Seohyun remained standing behind Tiffany with tears in her eyes. 

"Oh! Such naivety."He said dramatically. "You can loose both your careers and PJ at the same time, or you can just give PJ to me silently and keep going with your lives normally like before you had PJ. Your pick."He said shrugging.

"What are you talking about?! If you show that to the world, what makes you think that we're going to let PJ go with you?!"Yoona yelled while everyone remained silence probably thinking the same thing I am.

"Innocence and ignorance are two things. Do you honestly think that the court will let PJ live with you knowing what kind of people you are?"He asked and Yoona was stunned, and I heard Seohyun whimpered.

"Why are you doing this?"Jessica whimpered out.

"PJ has a big wad of money under her name, I'm sure you're aware. Why else would you want PJ under your custody, right."He answered mockingly.

"We're not like you! It's only PJ we care about!"Taeyeon yelled at the man standing up.

"I'm giving you girls a week to decide."He said standing up and one of the men behind him walk up to the table and started putting the stuff back in the case. "You ladies can keep the video to yourself for you own viewing pleasure, but don't forget, I have more of that."He said before leaving without another word leaving us all dumbfounded. 

"What are we going to do?"Seohyun asked with tears flowing from her eyes.

"I don't know. I really don't."Taeyeon answered slumping back down on her seat lifelessly while everybody else remained silent. 

Then we heard the door opened after a few minutes but no one bothered to stand up still thinking about what just happened.

"I'm home~"We heard that angelic voice rang through the dorm. "Hey guys! Guess what! I me- Mom? Umma? What's wrong?!"She asked frantically looking around dropping her things on the ground before running towards Jessica who couldn't do anything but hug the kid.

"Hey! What's going on?!"The kid asked again.

No one answered and the kid just kept asking questions while Jessica kept her in her arms, still crying. 

I watched as PJ's eyes started to water and I couldn't help but let out the tears I didn't know I was holding back. 

"U-unnie?"She asked looking at me with tears on her cheeks. 

I shook my head before hastily walking to mine and Taeyeon's room closing the door quietly behind me and let sobs rock through my body, while praying for one thing.

Let her be safe...
