PJ's POV
I hear voices talking and they all seem familiar. I try opening my eyes everything's spinning, and blurry. I try to move my hand but notice that someone's holding it. I try to open my eyes again and I finally got a clearer view of everything. I look to my side and that's where I see umma staring at me with wide eyes.
"Baby?"She asks gripping my hand tighter. I try to talk but i relaized that something's blocking my mouth. I make a grab for it but they stopped me.
"No! PJ don't."Yoong oppa says stopping me from doing it.
"I'll call a doctor."Amber unnie says then walks out of the door.
"Does anything hurt baby?"Mom asks me and I just shake my head.
"Hey we're here."Amber unnie says walking in with a doctor and a nurse behind her.
"Hello Patrick."The doctor greets me. I just try my best to give him a nod.
"Let's try taking the mask off and you tell me how you feel okay."The doctor says taking the mask off of me.
"How do you feel PJ?"Mom asks me looking down at me with a gentle smile.
"I'm okay."I reply trying to show them the best smile I can manage.
"Can you remember what happened?"The doctor asks me again.
"Yeah. I-I was having a hard time breathing. I think I had an attack."I reply quietly scared of everyone's reactions.
"So, you knew that you have a heart disease?"Doc asks me again the nurse just continue writing stuffs on her board.
""Y-yeah."I stutter.
"Have you ever had an attack like this one?"Another question from Doc.
"No. I used to feel pain in my chest, but it never gotten like this."I reply honestly.
"I see. Do you know what kind of heart disease you have?"He asks again.
"Yeah. I think I have a hole in my heart."I reply unsurely. I remember back then when my parents were still living, we used to go to the doctor.
"Very well then. For now, I want you to rest okay. To at least stay here for four days. We'll run some tests and then we'll see how everything is."He says. Aw man.
"Thank you doc."Soo unnie says then the doctor walks away.
"PJ, why didn't you tell us anything about this?"Sunny unnie asks. This is why I was nervous.
"I didn't want you guys to worry."I reply sadly.
"Well we are worried now!"Umma says loudly shocking everyone specially me.
"Umma I'm sorry."I apologize holding back my tears. This is the first time she's actually mad at me.
"Sica-ah."Appa says rubbing a hand on mom's back.
"I'm sorry baby, I just...I was just so scared that you suddenly fainted and there wasn't anything we could do."Umma says and tears start falling from her eyes when she grabs my hand.
"I'm really sorry guys. It's just that, it used to happen back then it just never got this bad so I thought that it wasn't such a big deal anyway so what's the point on telling."I say while using my free hand to wipe umma's tears.
"Don't worry baby, we were just scared. Umma's not really mad at you. No one is."Mom says fixing my fringe while giving me one of her bright eye smiles but this one isn't as bright as the others. It's rather watery. I think we all know why.
"So from now on, you will tell us immediately if you're not feeling okay. Alright?"Soo unnie says giving me a warm smile.
"Yes unnie. I promise."I reply smiling at them. Then suddenly there was a knock on the door. Sunny unnie walks over and opens it.
"Oh! Oppa, hi girls."She greets then with a bow then opens the door wider to let everyone inside.
Manager oppa walks in with 5 girls behind her. Two of the girls look familiar while I have no idea who the others are.
"Nicole."Hyo unnie says and the blonde girl who I thought looks familiar walks towards her and hug her tight. Ah! I think I remember now.
*FLASHBACK*
I'm currently lying down on Hyo unnie's bed with her just lying down next to me while I go through her phone with her permission of course.
"Unnie, who is she?"I ask her as I show her her phone where a picture of her back hugging a girl is showing.
"I'll tell you who she is when you meet her okay."She replies wrapping an arm around me.
"Eh? I just want to know her name."I reply pouting.
"Aigoo! So cute! She'll tell you herself okay."She replies while pinching my nose and placing a kiss there after talking.
"Not fair."I pout turning my back towards her.
"You'll get to know her when you meet her okay. And don't worry, she's already in love with you despite not meeting you yet."She explains chuckling.
"How is that even possible?"I ask curiously.
"I told her a lot about you, and she saw you're pictures on the net and she thinks that you're really cute. And she loves cute things so yeah."She answers gigglin. *This girl must be someone special.*
"Oh well, tell her I said that she looks really beautiful, and that I can't wait to meet her."I ask her turning back around and start going through her phone again.
"How come you seem nice to people now even if you don't even know them yet?"She asks poking my side making me giggle.
"Would you rather have the PJ you met the first time I came here?"I ask her although I already know her answer.
"No. Of course not."She replies hugging me closer then burying her face on the back of my neck snuggling closer to me.
After sometimes I feel her breathing getting slower indicating that she's falling asleep.
*END FLASHBACK*
"PJ, do you remember her?"I hear Hyo unnie asking me taking me out of my little daydream.
"Oh yeah unnie. I remember her. Anyeonghangseo Patrick imnida."I answer then introduce myself to her and also all the other girls with her.
"Hello Patrick ssi. My name is Nicole but you can call me Nicole unnie.`You're just as cute as you look on the photos."The girl holding hyo unnie's hand introduces herself.
"Gomawo. Please call me Patrick or PJ. The same goes with you guys too."I say smiling at them.
"I'm Seungyeon, and you can call me unnie."A girl withh a cute eyesmile Mom's and Sunny unnie's says.
"I'm Jiyoung unnie. I hope we can be good friends PJ."Another girl says smiling at me.
"I'm Gyuri unnie. I hope you get well soon Patrick."A girl with a cold expression says but she has a nice smile and a noticeable beauty. She reminds me of umma. Maybe they're related too.
"I'm your Hara unnie. It's really nice to meet you PJ, I hope we can play soon so get well okay."The girl who I said look familiar too introduces herself. I stare at her trying to remember, but I think Sunny unnie notice my stare cause she asks.
"Do you know her PJ?"Sunny unnie asks me smiling.
"She looks familiar, but I can't seem to remember. I'm sorry if I'm being rude."I answer Sunny unnie then I look at Hara unnie and apologize.
"Ahh that's okay. You've probably just seen me on TV before."She answers smiling widely. TV? I think I remember now.
"TV? Oh! I remember now, you were also on that funny show with appa and Sunny unnie!"I reply proudly because I remember her.
"Invincible Youth?"She asks with a knowing smile.
"That's the one!"I reply smiling back at her.
"She loves the show."Appa says chuckling.
"Tell them who's your favorite PJ."Mom says laughing. They always laugh because of my favorite. What can I do?! She's funny !
"Who?"Hara unnie asks.
"Narsha unnie."I mumble making some of the girls laugh and the others just giggle.
"Narsha unnie? The adult-dol?"Gyuri unnie asks also laughing.
"Yeah. She's funny okay!"I reply a little loudly with also a little whining tone.
"Aigoo! So cute!"Krystal unnie says walking towards the bed and leaning down to pinch my cheeks.
"Can we take her home?~"Nicole unnie asks with her aegyo.
"Oh NO WAY!" "NEVER!" "NOT GONNA HAPPEN!" "IN YOUR DREAMS GIRL!" "SORRY BABE."
Came the various replies from my soshi family.
"Awww."Nicole unnie says pouting and hugging Hyo unnie's waist closer while burying her head on unnie's neck.
"I wish we have a kid like her in our dorm."Seungyeon unnie says pouting. Man! Korean women know how to use their cuteness!
"But I'm not a kid anymore."I whine trying to sit up.
"PJ be careful."Dad says helping me sit up and raising the pillow for support.
"Thanks dad."I tell her smiling and she just return it.
"Okay. Can someone please tell me what happened?"Oppa asks looking worried. Oh right. He was asking us that earlier.
"She had a heart attack this afternoon while we were at the park. Did you know that she has a heart disease?"Dad explains then asks oppa.
"What?! No! I didn't know anything about PJ having such illness!"He replies quickly shaking his head vigorously.
"Oh, I just thought that maybe you knew about it."Dad says smiling sheepishly.
"No. What kind of heart disease though? And what did the doctors said?"Oppa asks again.
"It's best we talk about this privately. I hope you don't mind girls."Appa answers this time looking at the toher people in the room besides our family.
"No of course not. Somethings have to stay inside the family."Victoria unnie answers politely.
"Yeah. Don't worry about it yuri-ah."Nicole unnie who's still clinging to Hyo unnie says.
"It's almost dinner time. We should get something to eat. Let's just call for delivery."Sunny unnie suggests and it's the first time I notice that i'm actually hungry.
"Nah. Yoona and I will just go and buy take outs."Soo unnie says while Yoona unnie quickly nods her ehad vigorously.
"Even I don't think that tha's a good idea."I say chuckling. Nice try shikshins.
"I'll go with you girls."Oppa says.
"Fine. What do you guys want?"Soo unnie grumbles.
"Oh! We have to go girls. Oppa just texted me telling us that he needs to talk to us urgently."Victoria unnie suddenly says and they quickly bid us all goodbye and left. We all tell Soo unnie what we want and they left.
Hyoyeon's POV
After the three left Nicole and I excused ourselves from the others and went to the hospital's garden to take a little walk.
"Hyo, you can tell me if something's bothering you. You know that right?"Nic asks me while we're walking with her clinging to my arm.
"It's nothing. It's just that I feel like there's something more that Yul and Tae need to tell us."I reply giving her a little smile.
"Didn't they said that they'll tell you guys privately?"She asks me rubbing her hands up and down my arm.
"Yeah, but I'm just scared that something might be really bad with PJ's condition."I reply sighing.
"I'm sure everything will be okay. PJ seems like a nice kid. She doesn't deserve too get hurt."She replies pulling me down to sit on one of the benches.
"I really hope that she will be just fine."I reply then she put her head on my shoulder. I turn my head a little and lean down to place a kiss on her head.
"She will be."She replies without looking at me, but just hearing it from her gives me a reassurance that somehow, everything will be just fine.
I know you guys are thinking that we're going out, but we're not. Just like my sisters, we act like a couple without having to lie to people when they ask if we're going out. We're not allowed to date you see so we made this deal to not get in a relationship with anybody but we're allowed to act couply woth them. At least in this way, we get to be with someone we love without having to break the rules. And I'm contented with things being just like this now, at least we don't have to lie to people right?
Yoona's POV
"Unnie?"I call Soo unnie who's looking out the window of manager oppa's car.
"Hmm?"she replies absentmindedly.
"I'm scared."I reply honestly and that made her turn to look at me.
"She's strong. She'll be just fine."She replies with a small but encouraging smile reading my mind.
"I know, but I can't help but feel doubtful."I tell her sadly.
"She'll be just fine okay? She has us, we won't let anything happen to her."She replies taking a hold of my hand.
"I guess so."I reply smiling at unnie.
"We just have to pray and have faith for her to be fine."she replies looking out the window again.
