The taxi driver stopped his car in front of Mei Li's house and Luhan paid him. Mei Li was still asleep and Luhan didn't want to wake her, so he carried her out of the car. After closing the car door with his elbow, he went up to the doorstep and rang the doorbell with a quick nudge.

Anne opened the door and her eyes widened. "Luhan, what are you—"

"Shhh,” Luhan hushed her as to not wake Mei Li up.

She let him in and he kicked his shoes off. Her mom got up from the couch upon seeing him and pointed to the stairs leading to the second floor. Anne went up and Luhan followed her with Mei Li in his arms. She let him into Mei Li's bedroom and he laid her down on the bed. Anne pulled the blanket over her, and they quietly left the room, turning off the lights.

Luhan made his way back downstairs and Mei Li’s mom waved Luhan over to the living room. "Thank you for bringing her home safely," she said, "If I had known I'd get to leave work early today, I would've told you sooner so you didn't have to go through so much trouble."

"That's okay, I wanted to pick her up," Luhan smiled.

Anne sat down beside her mom. "Did Dongjun go to Starbucks to look for her?"

Luhan bit his lip. "Yea..."

"Really? Did something happen to her?” Anne exclaimed, worried.

"No, I made her leave quickly. I think she's just a little scared upon seeing him again," Luhan explained.

Mei Li’s mom exhaled. "Thank goodness you were there."

"Don't worry, Ayi. I'd never let anything happen to her," Luhan reassured her.

"But what about tomorrow? And the day after that? Dongjun's going to keep looking for her," Anne noted.

"She's right, Ayi. I don't think he's going to give up just yet," Luhan agreed.

"You're right..."

"I'll pick her up everyday, I don't mind," Luhan volunteered.

Ding dong!

"Huh? Who could that be?"  Mei Li’s mom wondered, confused.

"What if it's Dongjun?" Anne gasped.

"I'll get it," Luhan stated bluntly.

He marched over to the door, ready to throw a punch if he did come face to face with Dongjun again. He
